00 Nick Nick wants to know Nick wants to know if are you going to be nicer to ladies and stop being a player now. Welcome back to a very special episode of Careful Boys where we are going to give a call to a Mr. Anthony Lee. Anthony. >> Oh, Anthony Lee was supposed to be in studio this week. Yeah, he's missing. >> He turned his back on us. >> Son of a ████ >> Son of a >> Pick up the phone, ████ >> What's his his his screen picture? >> Did you even warn him? >> Yeah, I did. >> Hi. >> Hello.
52 >> Hey, we see you, fool. >> Hello. >> Oh, what up, guys? >> What's up, man? Hey, future. >> So, um, bro, >> so um, >> hey, Tulsi Gabbert, come say what's up. >> It's me, Tulsi Gabber. That's >> so dumb. Hey, Anthony. So, uh, you were supposed to be here today, but uh, you couldn't make it, and we just wanted you to tell the JK fans why is it you couldn't appear? >> Cuz he had diarrhea. >> Uh, wow. Hold on. I also randomly am getting a delivery that I don't know about. Um, >> what kind of delivery? >> Uh, okay. Yeah. So, let me tell you. Number one, uh, we all we all know, uh, we've been talking about this for months, but JK's just, you know, it's
42 just tough to be around, so sometimes I got to take a day off or two. >> Shut up. >> Get my bearings, you know. >> No, >> this guy has multiple floors on his house, by the way. >> I'm I'm A FATHER NOW, EVERYBODY. ANTHONY, DADDY ANTHONY. >> OH, how sweet. >> Getting flowers. >> Got flowers for the JK guys. >> What the heck? >> We just got flower deliveries. >> That's really cute. >> What? >> That's crazy timing. Who is it from? >> ████ Ryan. >> Oh, it's not from me. >> Really? Ryan would pull some ████ like that. >> Oh, I'm not that sweet. >> That would be crazy. I have a feeling it's from >> Michael in her family. >> Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah.
34 >> Very sweet. >> If if you don't find out who it's from, I sent it. Yeah, Bart sent it. >> Basically, what had happened was uh you know, we got the schedule. I was getting ready. I was actually putting some some host notes and articles together and it's like Tuesday night and then Nina has her kind of like her nighttime routine that she's been doing for like months now where she just gets on like a yoga ball stretches around and does all this crazy stuff to prep. I got to put these flowers down. Prep for this baby coming. And me I prep by going to sleep. So, I'm lying in bed and I'm getting real real lazy and then suddenly she's doing one of her stretches. She's doing like a lunge and she's like, "Uh, I think my water broke." >> Whoa.
24 >> She induced labor, dude. >> Don't be doing exercise. >> Don't be doing lunges like that, man. >> Deep lunges. >> And then uh and then I was like, "Oh s███." Okay. So, we were like, "Are we sure?" And then put a towel down, looked. We're like, "Oh ████ we're sure. Okay, cool. Uh, I was like, "What's the plan again?" >> Oh my god. >> Was this at night? Was this like pretty late? >> Yeah, >> it's like 11:30 p.m. or something. >> Wow. >> Yeah. And then from there, it was kind of like she was she was just like, you know, this could take a a long time. So, if anything, we should try and get rest now. And I was like, "All right, yeah, let's stay calm, whatever." You know, um, as as you guys have known, uh, we're planning on having this kid at home. We're doing this home birth thing. >> Yeah. >> Um, we got like, you know, a a birth tub and like all this stuff, you know, all
15 these plans, all these plans that we had >> right out the door, by the way. >> Really? Why? >> Wow. >> How come? >> And uh and and so from there, it was kind of like, all right, we texted our, you know, our uh birthkeeper or or midwife, if you will. Uh and then she was just like, "All right, we we let them know and we'll try and get some rest." I was like, "All right, cool." So, I knocked out cuz I'm a piece of ████ um >> you were able to sleep >> and then she apparently goes into labor uh like and kind of just starts having her own situation for the next like 3 hours. >> Oh my goodness. >> It's not too intense or anything like that, but but she's just like going through it. And then at like 3:00ish, she like wakes me up and I'm like a little like, you know, discombobulated and startled and then she's like like, "Yo, this is happening." in and I was
05 like, "Oh ████ this is happening." She told me to go get a tarp. We laid a tarp out right there. Like I said, the bathtub, all that stuff was JUST OUT THE DOOR. ████ >> SHE started going. We called, you know, uh got our midwife on the way. Um and then uh from there, she got stuck in traffic cuz that was a super snowy night. Remember that was >> Oh, yeah. >> Oh, no. Jeez. >> She's like stuck on a mountain where the truck in front of her on this oneway road is the truck that like goes 10 miles an hour and throws out like salt and ████ >> Oh my god. >> It's just a whole ordeal. We're We're just kind of like, "All right, you know, we we'll figure this out even though we never done this before and we're just by ourselves. >> God damn." >> Jeez. >> Yeah. And then she But but you know, Nina, she's a she's a trooper. She was just leading the charge and uh she just kind of like
56 walking me either through things or telling me what to do or telling me to shut the ████ up. That happened once as well. U cuz I was just wasn't doing something right or asking too many questions which I'm sorry. You don't you don't know what's too many questions until you ask too many. >> Yeah, that's true. True. Yeah. >> He didn't do his homework. >> There's no such thing as a stupid question, >> dude. There are there are some dumb questions for sure. when when you get there. >> You guys know how to cut the umbilical cord and all that stuff. >> Bro, that's that's way later in the story, my guy. >> Oh, >> fine. Go back. Go back. Go back to where you were asking dumb questions. >> Yeah. Yeah. I was asking dumb questions. >> So, he got a tarp out. >> Stop asking questions. So So it just kind of turned into like a like a silent read the room kind of thing.
46 >> Looking all stylish right now, dude. or whatever. Um, but then she, you know, she's changing positions. She's like, you know, we're trying to figure it out and she gets into a certain position and that's when she's just, she just zones in. But I didn't even know. I thought these things take like snow >> 12 plus hours. It's snowing again, by the way. >> Oh, cool. >> I thought these things take like 12 to 24 hours, especially if you're like a first time mother, right? Which that's that's kind of the average. It's tend to It's not supposed to be fast or too easy. >> Not saying it was easy, but uh and then but she just she just gets into a new position and then suddenly she zones in and I was like, "Holy ████ this is happening." And then our our our birth keeper arrives. We're looking at everything. We're keeping the vibes calm. I look down, I'm like, >> "S███, is that ahead?" And I'm talking
36 this is LIKE MAYBE LIKE 5:15 A.M. So we're like >> we're we're not even 6 hours out from when she like had her water break. >> Wow, that's fast. >> And like this is at home too, so it's like just us trying to like set the temperature, dim the lights a bit, play some Zen music, not ask stupid ass questions. Still failing. Like we're >> still failing. >> What' you What' you play? You play Cascade? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> No, no, no. I just I literally looked up zen music >> like dolphin sounds like massage parlor music. Sounded like a Chinese massage. >> I typed in I typed in happy ending massage. >> Bunch of harps in the background >> and then uh she just kind of took over. She started she started pushing and then next thing you know I'm like yo is that their head? And then our birth keeper was like I mean was there hair on it? I
26 was like yeah that was some hair on it. I've seen belut I know what it looks like. You know >> don't say belute bro. It does look like >> what's the right position >> and then she just every time she pushed the head would like just show a little bit more and then out of nowhere like like I feel like the timing was just there cuz she was just push. She was just doing her thing. We were just trying our best not to say the wrong stuff for me and encouraging words for her. Um and then uh out of nowhere the the birth was like I'm going to record this. And so I'm sitting there and then I see I see the freaking eyeball pop out like >> and then I see right right when I see the eye I threw my hands forward and this thing shot the ████ out. >> Whoa. >> Like straight out and I
16 >> He is a gangster, bro. >> I caught this baby. I caught this freaking >> Was it like a slippery football? >> Yeah, like a slippery foam party football. >> Damn. Holy ████ dude. >> Um, is it the proper way like to be standing or like crouching while having a baby or was she like laid down? >> Uh, not laying down. Laying Well, I mean, again, this is we can go down conspiracy theory road, but uh laying down is is totally the not normal natural way for humans. Laying down was adopted in our medical industry because that's the easiest perspective for surgeons to get in there and do work. I see. But like it's women aren't even using gravity at that point. Would you just like do you take a ████ laying down like you know what I'm saying? Like you >> I would >> B does sometimes >> depends how bad his stomach feels.
07 >> Sometimes sometimes at home birth and at hospital sometimes women be using like squatty potties to like get themselves in a better position and move the baby. >> That makes sense though. It makes all the sense in the world. >> She was actually uh not laying down. >> She's like in a horse stance >> basically. >> So So you were you were you quarterbacking? You're a quarterback in >> I was quarterbacking. It was Super Bowl. Uh, and I'll tell you what, I caught the ████ out of that phone party football. >> Let's go, dude. That's amazing. >> Did you >> I'm not making this sound like it's about me. This is so accurate. >> No, we're not talking about you. We're talking about Nina, dude. >> Did you Did you cry? Did you have love at first sight? >> I'll tell you I'll tell you when I really like kind of teared up. >> Um, stop jumping head in the story, Bart. >> God damn it. >> Go back. go back to when you were the hero and you caught the baby. >> So, in the plan, in the plan, in the
57 game plan that's written down, you know, we got to get right into that skin to skin skin connection. You know, Nah's probably going to be in this transcendent place, you know, where you got to go to like outer space in order to like endure the pain and stuff like that. And uh this baby comes out. I catch this phone party football, you know. I make sure the umbilical cord is not tripping over as she like uh turn Nina turns herself over and pulls her leg over the umbilical cord and then I'm just immediately getting this baby into Nah's arms. Uh and she's just holding her and it's just this crazy powerful euphoric moment. Baby is crying right away. Nah is is also just emotional and she's just gone through it, but she still looks strong enough to like want to grab this baby. It's very powerful, reassuring moment and it it happens so quick that I'm not paying attention. I I forget that we don't actually know the
48 gender of these things. I'm so sold that this is a baby boy cuz we've just been believing that with all the old wives tales that have passed. By the way, >> all the aunties are wrong. Every auntie is wrong. >> They don't know >> because I hand this baby over. Nina catches her breath, looks down, goes, "It's a girl." >> And I was like, "Oh s███." >> Oh my god. That's such a crazy way to find out because most people don't do it that way anymore. >> Hey, that means you got high testosterone, dude. >> Yeah, my bad, dog. High tea. >> You must have vigorous boners. >> We all knew that. >> I still had It's an anomaly. I had a baby girl with low tea. That's how it comes out. >> You have strong boners. >> Yeah, dude. >> Okay. >> Anthony has strong tea for sure. High tea. >> Oh, yeah. That that being said, uh this baby girl came out and uh you know, we had we have names for or you know,
38 backups and like the possibility cuz we don't we really just didn't know the gender. So, um yeah, I'm she's she's she's feeding right now so I can't do a dramatic and epic reveal. >> What's her name? >> But her name is is Lana. >> Is Lana? >> Lana Lee. >> Lana. Yeah. >> Lana Lee. Oh, >> beautiful name, dude. >> How'd you come up with is Lana? >> Is Yeah. from is is from Islam. She's Jewish. >> From Islam, she's Jewish. >> No. How'd you come up with the name? >> No. Lana. Her middle name is >> Oh, it's Lana. >> M A V E. >> Lana Mave. >> Lana M. >> That's a beautiful name. >> That's a really beautiful name. >> That's so cute, man. >> Thank you guys. >> Look, I can show YOU THIS PERSPECTIVE.
29 HEY, YOU'RE A ROCK STAR. YOU'RE A ████ ROCKAR, >> DUDE. >> BRO, having an at home birth is crazy, bro. >> No, no epidural. >> Yeah, that's great. >> How many ladies can say that, bro? What a gangster. >> Wow, >> that's tight. >> Salute you, Nina. >> That's amazing. >> They're saluting. >> We hit you with a Zig. >> Thanks, guys. >> Wow. >> Oh, pull her off. I don't know. >> Let's see Lana, dude. LET'S SEE THE BABY. >> Oh my god. I'm gonna cry, dude. >> Oh, yeah. >> So, do you cut the umbilical cord? >> Yeah. >> Stop jumping ahead. >> Stop jump. That's way later. >> You do the reveal already. >> Hey, you had to wait till it turns white. >> You got 12 minutes yet? I got to go. No, I'm just kidding. >> You got to wait. You got to wait till
19 the umbilical cord turns white, right? >> Yeah. So we that umbilical cord was man that really that really looks like something. So you know uh even for her she not only are we waiting for the umbilical cord to like fully send all the blood and the nutrients and oxygen and stuff like that to our baby but uh we also got to wait for her to round to it and get that placenta out which is a whole ordeal as well. >> Oh ████ >> What was that like? >> I mean she's she's honestly Nah's a gangster. Women in general period. I don't even care if you like go under full full on epidural. Don't want to feel a C-section right away. Just that just the idea of going through that as a human experience is insane. But of course, for them at home freebirth gangsters out there that like be unassisted and not be taking stuff trying to like get in touch with their
10 naturalistic ways that that is crazy, guys. >> So, are you going to start being nicer to ladies now? so uh knowledgeable on it and have such a belief in the philosophy or the lifestyle or the reason why you want to do it in order to like commit to to that kind of stuff, that kind of option, if you will. >> Um, >> did you save it? >> Nick wants to know Nick wants to know if are you going to be nicer to ladies and stop being a player now? >> I didn't say player. I just said, "Hey, hey, Anthony." He said, "No, it's >> Look at his face." >> Hey, Anthony, did you did you say did you save the placenta and all that for for good uh stem cells? >> Not for specifically stem cells, but uh
01 we we we did save it for different other things that are happening >> like memories. uh >> placenta fried rice >> for encapsulation. Can I share the other part? Encapsulation. And we're also going to cut a bit of it off and throw it in a smoothie so that >> she can Oh, it's too late. Never mind. She's just going to eat it. I'm going to eat it as a ritualistic uh experience. >> You a real dog. >> You guys are really primal. That >> honestly, this is the most primal birth I've ever heard of. >> Yeah, that's awesome. You guys are really doing some crazy ████ I think it's awesome. Can we fast forward the the smoothie part and then now talk about when you fell in love the first time? >> Oh, actually that part already passed. >> The tell the Can we go backwards? Can we rewind back? We want that moment, dude. >> Dude, honestly, the moment the moment is
51 when >> the moment is when she Anita looked down like it's a girl and then I looked and I was like >> and then I I was just oh my god. I honestly I kind of like I you know it's weird. It's like my eyes didn't get watery, but I got like the like the hyperventilating kind of >> Oh, yeah. You suck your lips. >> Yeah. Like like you can't you can't finish a breath, you know? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Do that. That's true. >> That was the moment when she said it's a girl. That's when I like ████ lost it. >> Wow. Wow, bro. >> And then Yeah. Once once the umbilical cord turned fully white after the placenta came out uh and stuff like that, that's when I clamped it and then I cut it. Today we're taking off the clamp and then a few days from now the thing will just wither away and fall off.
42 >> How do you know where to cut? >> We had our birth keeper uh help us kind of with basically just be like, "All right, clamp a little bit lower down here." Blah blah blah. You can make a choice. It's up to you. You could you could do this. You could do that. But we were like, nah, we won't keep it too long. It's going to get in the way of like all the diapers and all this stuff, but it's still got to be loose enough where you can move it so it's in a comfortable position. It's a whole thing, >> dude. So, the next baby you guys have, if you guys decide to have another blessing, are you just going to say, "Hey, birthkeeper, midwife, you guys can stay at home. Anthony Lee got this. I'm a pro now." >> Honestly, I don't think that's out of THE CONVERSATION. >> THAT'S MY DOG. THAT'S MY DOG. NEEDS THE HOSPITAL. WHO NEEDS IT? NOBODY NEEDS A hospital industry. >> Dr. Lee. Paging Dr. Lee.
35 >> Dude, that's amazing. >> Dude, that's all. >> I'm super into home birth now. You guys got me into home birth now. >> Hey, you guys have enough food and stuff? Do we need to deliver some Uber Eats? >> Steak Steak and eggs. Let's go, guys. >> You want anything? We can send you some stuff, >> dude. Just everybody come over and pick up the baby and hot potato the baby and stuff. NO, IT'S TOO EARLY. IT'S TOO EARLY. WE DON'T WANT TO GET THE baby sick. >> No, they got to they Dude, the the baby will develop an immunity to JK specifically. We'll be good. >> We can't We can't have Joe over there right now cuz he has 8day diarrhea. >> Bart Bart's sick, too. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> I got CO 49. >> Yeah. Say your ass at home. We got to stay home. >> But we send our love and blessings. >> We could deliver food and leave it on your doorstep and then be 12 feet apart. >> Yeah. We won't touch it. I promise. Her's not sick. Having a kid is just like co the same thing.
25 >> You know how you had the whole circumcision dilemma? You don't have to worry about that. >> Yeah. 100%. >> Thank God. Huh? >> Dude, honestly, that was one of the first things that Nina said. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's a dilemma for sure. >> Why? >> Cuz he didn't know if he wanted to circumcise the baby or >> is a girl. >> Why not? >> Why is that >> do it anyway? What are you talking? Hey, I'm really sorry that obviously, you know, uh couldn't be there, but >> you ████ us, dude. >> At least at least for my sake, for Nah's sake, this baby came out very quick. Nina did a great job pushing. >> I'm so happy. >> I'm so happy everything went smoothly. >> Congrats, >> Nina. You're a champion. >> Push it. >> We'd love to have you guest on the next
15 JK News. B said we'd love to have you as a guest on the next J. >> We'd love to have you on. We'd love to interview you. >> Oh yeah, she said she can't, dude. She said she Yeah, she schedule. She got her schedule. >> I didn't hear her say that. I think you're lying. I think you're lying, >> dude. Congrats, man. >> Thank you guys. Thank you guys so much. It's It's Life is different, DUDE. >> YOU'RE A ████ FATHER NOW. >> SO LIKE wise now, dude. Look at Look how chill is >> now. You seem like a man. >> I seem like I haven't taken a shower in a minute. That's what I seem like. Oo, smelly. Well, hey dude, we just want to say congrats. We love you guys. And uh enjoy your new life as a father and mother >> with your lovely Lana Lee. >> WOW. >> AMAZING. >> Anthony the papa and Nina the mama. >> It could have been the other way. Yes.
06 I'm glad you clarified.
