00 [Music] This is a question for Joe and Hannah. Oh, >> yes. We like to snorkel >> now. >> All right, that's the end of the video, man. >> And it's a wrap. >> All right. As a if like really try to critically think about this if nothing will probably come to mind on the surface, but maybe you can find something. In what ways do you actually believe your marriage could be better? M >> I think if I had more personal time, our marriage would be better. >> Yeah. >> How what way? >> Because I think you need uh reset time to have like new stories, new things to talk about cuz we're together pretty

50 much 24/7. >> Yeah. And like there's going to be a point where like you run out of like >> you can't be like Joe this check out this thing Joe said today. >> Did you know what Joe did today? Tell me. >> He would love to hear about it too. That's the thing. >> You guys both just go nuts. >> I'm like what did I do? I didn't know I did that. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I see. >> Yeah. And I think longterm too. >> Long term >> cuz you develop more, you grow more. >> Oh yeah. And then you can keep like going >> rather than just being like stagnant >> like rotting together in a little hole. >> Yeah. >> You know what I mean? >> So if I was out and about doing more, I think that would actually >> new experiences you can bring into the relation. >> No, too late. >> So you're saying something to do. >> So you're saying you would uh you would prefer to live a little slightly more

41 separate life so you could bring more back to the table. not necessarily like separate, but have like more times in the week where maybe I'm doing something away >> that you can then like Yeah. bring back in. >> No, that makes sense because I got JK, so I get that. >> And then so like even though we're not together, she's still in the same routine that I would have been in in Hawaii. >> It's jumbi, maybe yo, exercise, >> whatever. Right. So then she's kind of like >> it doesn't deviate far enough from the norm. Yeah. where like I come here and then like I have new people, new experiences. >> Yeah. And I go back and I'm like, "Okay, this is what happened." And those are new stories >> and I'm just listening. >> And then so she's telling she's but she's updating me on the same stories of the people, our employees, our friends in Hawaii. >> So I think that's true cuz if you had a different set of things maybe

32 >> I don't know maybe even in Hawaii it could be there but like a different routine that you get into. Yeah. I think that would be different. And then I can still bring you into that >> as like, oh, come and experience this with these people or come and give it a go. >> So it wouldn't have to be like this is mine, you can't touch it, >> stay out of it. It's just like >> Yeah. I think it's more equal if both of us are bringing things in >> cuz when you had more time, you did have that cuz you had the theater that you were working at there and then you were you were doing like nonprofit stuff >> with like >> like I don't know, she's always running getting into like charities and ████ and ████ feeding the poor. It's so whack. And then like I'm like why you want why you want to give toothpaste to this homeless person? They're never gonna ████ use it. >> Poor person. >> Nor will they remember you. >> I know. Don't worry. I've never done. >> You don't need to convince her. >> She finds like No, literally like I'm like where are we going? >> Stop that.

22 >> You have like hello boxes of like toiletries. And I'm like, "Where are we going?" She goes, "It's this woman's shelter." It's like we got >> It's like battered women or like just >> Yeah. They get their asses beat so they have to go to this like secret ████ compound, right? >> So Yeah. Literally. cuz they have like weirdass husbands or boyfriends that want to find them and beat their ass. So they're like in this compound. >> What? >> It's secret. Like no one could know where it is. >> So So she's like, "I don't even know where it is. I'm just on the phone." And then so we pull up and then this lady comes up with a ████ roller cart and then we give them ████ toothpaste and ████ And then like I'm just like I didn't know anything about it. I'm just being her chauffeur, you know, >> toothpaste. >> And I'm like, "Damn, how did you even find this ████ place?" And then >> yeah. So I think she gets into ████ >> Uhhuh. >> But I think she doesn't get into enough

13 ████ >> Yeah. It comes second. >> Yeah. >> To the the I would agree. >> You guys You guys should really figure that out because when you have kids, you're ████ >> I know. That's the thing, right? So it's like a >> ████ real. >> Yeah, it is. >> Yo, left butt cheek, right butt cheek. When you have kids, >> it's a time clock, right? It's like ticking away. I feel it. It's going to be like another June be where your lives are that much more glued together. >> Like not not even glued but super glued. >> Then maybe I go to like a mummy and be positive. >> Matter of fact, welded. >> Welded. >> But in a positive way. >> Very positive. But if you're feeling like that now, then you should definitely go for it. >> I think so. Yeah. Cuz it's not it's also difficult cuz it's not like I don't enjoy spending time with him. It's just that it's like you have to kind of force yourself a little bit. But it it it will make the time that you do spend with it

04 more enjoyable. >> Is there something that you enjoy that you've been putting off that you would like to do? That would give you a little bit more incentive to go do it. >> So, I've been doing yoga classes again, >> which I thoroughly enjoy. We want to go back to climbing, but then you also kind of enjoyed that. So, that might be like a duo thing. >> Climbing. >> Yeah, we got into climbing for a minute. >> Just climb way ahead of him. >> Let me tell you about what it's like up here. >> Man's playing the cliff to him. Uh, take two. Why don't you guys take >> So, you grab the rock. >> Hey, why don't you guys just take two cars? >> Your muscles >> or or eat at different spots? You go fall, you go you go Chinese. Like, I don't know. Like, ████ >> Eat at different spots. >> Yeah. Go FaceTime each other. FaceTime. Give each other a food review. >> Yeah. >> That might actually be fun to me. >> That is kind of funny. >> Kind of funny.

54 >> Yeah. So, we FaceTime while we're eating lunch, but then she's eating something else. Me and Smack do that sometimes. I drop her off somewhere else and then I go to Chipotle cuz she hates Chipotle. >> That's so funny. >> Funny. >> See, at least she hates it. >> She hates it. So, so all Oh, yeah. Because I I remember your reasoning. It makes sense though because it's what you eat when you're trying to do clean eating. So, why eat it when you It's fun time. >> Yeah, it makes sense. >> What about you? >> Like the question is how much better can be we can Oh, yeah. >> If you Yeah. How would you what would you do to make it better if you know not that it's bad like it's great but if you could make it better >> yeah I think um >> the way we operate we like go ham in like something right we're so right now we're in the season of like just working right so when we first got together we

46 were just traveling like we were road tripping we were having a lot of fun it was like it was like 100% play no work >> now it's 100% play or maybe 90 or 80% and then we do have our times where we get to have a lot of fun too. >> But I wanted to um I I I think I don't know if there's even a way for us to balance that cuz we just have different seasons in life. But right now I feel like >> we're we're doing a lot of work. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. More balance. >> Yeah. But then >> Yeah. I don't know. But I feel like it's also building something for the future cuz we can't work like this if we have kids. >> So it's like we're just kind of smashing through it now so you don't have to later kind of thing. >> Preparing right now. >> Yeah. And then >> Yeah. Yeah. And I think we're we were like like I we were talking about how like Hawaii is like the perfect place

37 for training grounds for everything for like redoing our health and building and growing and learning because like >> you can be doing this in anywhere in the world. But like >> it's it's a perfect place to do it there cuz um it's so easy to walk, it's so easy to run, it's so easy to swim, it's so easy to do activity. Like yoga classes are everywhere. >> There's gyms everywhere. And then so like and everything's quick, so you do it quickly, but also you have access to your business quickly. >> So then the lifestyle is really good. >> And then like the ████ that we're working out on how to be better like people in our business or even in our relationships or whatever. I was like, "Oh, this is like the best training ground to do it cuz we're forced into situations that we didn't want to be in >> and we don't have the same support."

28 >> Yeah. So, we're like both truly alone in a new place together where LA is my hometown and then I have all the resources and every familiarity and whatever. I don't have really we had to build from scratch in Hawaii together >> cuz if I was just here we would have been in such different like places but he's home and I'm like struggling to rebuild >> whereas in Hawaii we both started at like >> maybe it's new business that like like even how she was saying if she came into JK it would still be like >> I'm a boss >> whereas in June be like I don't really know what the ████ I'm doing like I'm an entertainer she's an entertainer we're just yeah you know We're just working it out. >> So you take what you can, I take what I can. And then so we really got to learn >> how do we work together. >> As like more of a equal rather than like you work for me.

18 >> Yeah. >> It's neither of your worlds in a way. >> Yeah. But then I think we're in that season of working out all those things and it came at a really quick >> pace. >> Yeah. How would you make it better though now that you're in this season? >> I guess like the bucket lists, right? So it's like okay try to stabilize life and prioritize. So maybe like okay we got the income and the businesses under control then maybe we can do like other things like hey have you got to check off all the purposeful things that you wanted to do or like the fun things. Yeah. >> And then try to add in like >> we have to schedule in like fun time. >> So then and actually stick to the fun time cuz it's easy to get interrupted and like like multitask work while you're having fun time. Yeah. >> Yeah, for sure. >> Yeah. But I just think um we also I

09 actually just like to work and you know do what I got to do. >> So that's the hard part too. So like >> it's difficult to relax when there's stuff. >> I like finishing tasks and then like Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So like after that then I feel like oh let's go swim >> or whatever. Yeah. Yeah. >> See that's the cool thing about Hawaii, right? When you go out to the water you can't bring your phone. >> M. Yeah, that's true. It's a good reset though. Like 10 minutes in the water, I feel like refreshed and everything. >> Yeah, but let's be honest. Y'all got anxiety, huh? You leave your phone. >> I No, I used to. But here's the training is like the training is the ████ that used to piss me off. >> It doesn't anymore. >> Oh. >> So, that's what we realize is like we're like, okay, a lot of it was wild, but what is what is the plan? Like what is

59 the lesson plan here? Like what are we learning here? And it's like maybe we're not in the phase in life where we can just let go everything and just like enjoy and relax cuz we had that phase. So now it's like the crash course phase of like how do we work together? Cuz she's like, "Hey, the way that we're working >> um that's how we're going to be as a couple, like even outside of the business. So if we can't resolve the conflict in the business, >> what's going to happen when there's something that >> pops up as a couple?" >> So I was like, "Oh yeah, that's true. You're so ████ smart. I know. We're going to fight the same way. We got to figure that ████ out >> cuz once you're married, you're not just a couple anymore. That's like boyfriend girlfriend ████ >> Yeah, that's true. >> You are business partners. Even if it's not an actual business if it's like the house, the mortgage, >> of course. Yeah. Yeah. You're in it together. >> Everything. So, we have to be able to like cuz I think at first it was easy to blame the store for everything.

49 >> Just be like, "Oh, cuz." And then after a while, you're like, "Actually, we kind of have to take responsibility. That's just our flaws, like our personality flaws that we need to work out." >> Yeah. And that's very mature. >> Yeah. I think once we saw the shift in like what are the things we can take ownership in >> and then change. I think those were the things where like okay let's start chipping away at this and then let's start chipping away at that. >> And then so now it's like once I feel like I got things a little under control then it's like okay what are the other things that we've been lacking like maybe personal time or whatever. >> Yeah. this time. >> There's always time for that, man. >> All right. All right. [Laughter] >> That only takes 2 minutes max. Like, come on. Clap. Clap. >> Like people say I'm too busy to ████

41 Like >> 3 minutes. Four. >> Come on, dude. >> Only two minutes, huh? >> Five lucky. >> Fast tracking that ████ Jesus. About 15 and a half pumps. Dude, >> you can't do it then, man. My wife be mad. >> My wife be mad. Two pumps. ████ It's a whole another argument. >> I I do think >> Another thing though is I don't think we have time to think. >> I wish we just had time to like think and plan. >> Cuz you always have to do. Huh? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Cuz I didn't realize how much time I actually had and wasted. >> That's prior to the >> What do you mean? >> Prior to how I'm working it now. Cuz I think well when you fly back and forth multiple places and also like really run multiple businesses. I wasn't really running multiple businesses before. I outsourced the crap out it and figured

31 out a way where I could just come in and play each time. >> Yeah, this is real real. >> Like when you really have to run multiple things and then they're all like at the same time like you have to actually fix them. That's a different because it was easier when like, oh, two's doing well and then you just have to fix this one >> or whatever. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> I think that's completely different from like all three is ████ up and none of them's making money and you're like you don't have income for like ████ half a year or whatever. You're like, "Okay, now what? Now what do you do?" >> Yeah. >> That was interesting. Yeah. >> Yeah. You really liked it when the the building permit inspectors helped you out there, huh? >> Yeah. No, that was wild. Yeah. But I don't know. >> But I think a thing we did that was actually was beneficial was when we started running together. >> Oh, that's true. That was once every

21 once >> you guys run together. >> Yeah. We would jog and chat and then we would uh do a little snorkel and swim. Yeah. >> This is really cute. >> But it was really good cuz you can like see too like, oh, we're improving. We're getting better. And then you have like something to talk about that's not like the store. >> So then you're like, oh, is it the shoes? And then we're like going out and getting new running shoes. And it gives you like a focus, >> another theme. >> Yeah. And then when you do better and better, like, oh, we're down to 12 minutes. Sick. >> I would see them all the time together. Wherever we me and Sash went, they were there. Alam. Yeah. >> Remember Alam Moana? We would see. Where else did we see you guys? >> Everywhere. >> Yeah. We were just We were just going there to kick it. And they were going there to kick it, too. We're all just chilling, you know. Good stuff, guys.
