00 They have words that sound like "kwan kwan kwan". Wow. >> [laughter] >> "Kwan kwan kwan". And I'm like, "What the f███?" Welcome back to another episode of Careful Boys. Today we're doing a segment called Bart from the Heart, where we ask one >> [laughter] >> deep-cutting question to one Careful Boy. And today we're going to talk to Joe. Joe, pick a number from one to seven. Two. All right. The question is, "What are you currently trying to figure out in life? What does achieving that look like? Be as visually descriptive as possible." What am I trying to achieve in life? Right now. Right now? >> Yeah, like what's this what's the next right product Like imagine you had a muscle car in a garage, but that's your
50 life, right? What is the muscle car you're working on now, and what would that completed muscle car where it's running, it's smooth, it's the motor purrs, what does that look like in your life? Damn, that's a pretty good one. So, the last kind of achievement that I made was to be able to live in multiple cities. And that was like a cool thing that I always wanted to do. Like, you know, and then now we're moved out of LA, but that was a pretty crazy time of just like flying every week. And then the next stage that I eventually want to do is actually like build a family, right? But then I want to be able to live in like the UK a little bit, Japan a little bit, and I'm inspired by my buddy shot shout-outs to uh Maikito. Um Gokuflex, old OG Asian fitness dude.
44 Um he's designed a life where he he basically can be in Japan for like a month straight with his three kids. He has three He has three kids that are all under three. A newborn, uh you know, like a 1-year-old and like a 3-year-old or something, right? And that's a handful with just a husband and wife. But then like I was just like listening to how he's designed his life, and I was like, "Dude, that's almost close to what I want." Where he's like in Japan for like a whole ████ month, and he has his business all digital, and you know, I was like, "That's crazy." Cuz whenever I hear like with my friends having kids and stuff, I'm like, "Damn, that sounds like life is over." You're just Not life is over, but you're in your castle and you can't do anything. But then he's
34 giving me like alternative of you can have little ones, but still live like from this Airbnb to that Airbnb, and it'll it'll be great. And I was like, "Damn, that's cool." So I I thought that was really cool. And then so the other thing that I'm trying to do is maybe figure out new income sources and new kind of like moves that can achieve that. Cuz he has his one thing, which is like he's he's been a fitness coach for a long time. And I think with digital, like you can create like a fitness program online, and you can sell, you know, that product and do all that. I think for me I love like coming down to JK and doing this, too. And then I'm like, "Well, we only film like every 2 weeks or whatever. But like I could be somewhere else for those 2 weeks. I am. Like I'm in Hawaii, right? So with the
25 same schedule or whatever it is, like I can I want to I want to be able to like do all those things." So that's kind of my next chapter thingy that I'm trying to work on. Yeah. Dope. And do you have like a I guess like a timeline that would be ideal for you to achieve? Within the next 5 years. Oh, ████ But I think it's going to be like once it's achieved, I'm going to live it out for like a decade or more. Cuz then Yeah, that's the goal. The then you you have your muscle car now, you can drive it around, you enjoy it. Yeah, because one thing is um, you know, Hannah's family's all in Liverpool, and like I would love for the family to be closer and be together for longer periods of time. So if we could go like like, you know, 2 months straight or month straight um of consecutive family time, and then we
15 could go to like back to Vegas for like 3 months, and then some somewhere else for a month, and stuff like that. I think that That to me sounds really fun. Yeah. So I think lifestyle-wise I would like to achieve that in the next 5 years, and then probably live like that until I can't. >> [laughter] >> So is family building also on the horizon for you guys? Yeah, I think it is for all of us, right, in the next 5 years? But like I guess for me it's more like um figuring out how I could make it all happen with that kind of lifestyle. Cuz I think it's it's if if I just stayed put in one place like LA, like I think that's what everyone does. Like it's just pretty easy, right? But then I'm pretty inspired by the people that live kind of internationally, globally, or
05 like people that just like kind of gypsy style pack up in a van, and then like they're just living you know, a week out of the month just on the road. >> Yeah. And I'm like, "That's really cool." Yeah. But I I guess for me, since I don't have kids, I just don't know how difficult it's going to be, because there's so many different I guess people that are like, "Yeah, we'll go to ████ Brazil with, you know, five little ones, and then we'll have like a RV." They'll figure it out. >> They'll figure it out, right? >> Yeah. >> But then there's also people that have one kid, and they're just like, "I'm so overwhelmed, and we can't leave the house." So I'm just like, "Is your kid a menace, or like are these kids well-trained, or like what's going on, you know?" So like that I I I I wouldn't know. Like that's just kind of like once we end up having kids, it might be like, "Oh, like I just can't do that." Cuz it
57 could be like they could have medical problems, you have to be close to a hospital. There's just so many things, but that's what I would like to do, you know? That's That's kind of like my goal. >> There's tolerance level, too. All all There's like some parents that I know that have a bunch of kids. They're all young, too. Mhm. Um cuz usually once they get into that school age, a lot of people kind of settle down, cuz then you have all your extracurriculars, and it's [clears throat] hard to like learn piano in four different countries. So usually once you hit like, "Okay, school time, extracurriculars," then people kind of stabilize. But when they have young kids, uh what I notice is some parents um their tolerance is high. So they could be in a plane with the three kids, all of them are crying, whatever, and they they don't even hear it. Really? >> But then uh and these might be These will be my friends. It's their tolerance, you know? But for me, I'm like, as soon as if Tyco's going nuts, I'm like, "We're never traveling like this ever again." I I feel so ████ bad. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
47 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> or they just have the right temperament kids. >> Yeah. >> Some kids are just like perfect. They don't They go up in the plane, none of that earplug ████ they don't cry, they land, no cry the whole time, they sleep perfectly. Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah. So I I think there's those two where like I have no idea if I can achieve it, cuz there's those circumstances. Like I might have a small patience for it, and I'm like, "You're ruining my ████ vacation, you little s███." >> [laughter] >> Yeah, right? And I'm like, "Man, I'd rather just stay put in Vegas, it's just easier." So but that's what I would love to try, and as far as long as I can try it, you know? >> Yeah. It seems worth trying. Yeah. That's a really cool lifestyle to have. Right. And then so Hannah's learning Japanese right now. Oh, no way. So Joe's going to Japan. >> [laughter] >> I'm not going to stay there forever.
37 >> You're not going to learn Welsh? I think um my Learn British. British, hello. I actually do want to learn Welsh. Yeah, it sound it sounds crazy. >> Can you say anything in Welsh? Nah, bro. It's crazy sounding. They have words that sound like "kwan kwan kwan". Wow. "Kwan kwan kwan". >> [laughter] >> And I'm like, "What the f███?" Well, Hannah's learning Japanese right now, and then I think my perfect time of like being in one place is 10 days. Wow, 10 days. Mine's like that, too, actually. >> 10 days is good, but I also have to have some type of work. Like I can't just be playing for 10 days. Oh. >> about five or six, until I need to like do something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like if I'm just sightseeing for five, six days, after a while I'm just like, "What the ████ am I doing?" >> Purgatory. Yeah. That's true, yeah.
28 >> Like how many pictures and like restaurants can you ████ do? >> Culture, Joe. You got to take it in. Do you you don't like cruises, then? Cuz that's pretty much even worse. >> Well, Hannah really wants to do a cruise. Okay. >> But I The only cruise experience I had was like with 30 friends. Oh. So I never did one like >> as a couple? Yeah. So I don't know how I'm going to like that. Ooh, yeah. >> Yeah. But so 10 days-ish, so like let's say Hannah gets better in Japanese, then like we could do like 10 days in Japan, and then like get immersed in it, develop it. And then when we have kiddos, [snorts] like we're going to have like a like what day is going to be designated to a different language day. So it's like all Monday we're just all speaking Japanese that day. And then Tuesday it'll just be like, you know, Welsh day or whatever. Cuz she she she could speak Welsh and French, but her French is
20 better than Welsh. Welsh, yeah. Is that because French is used more, like >> I think she just practiced more. >> Oh. >> whatever. But then she was born and raised in Wales Yeah. until like seven or eight, so she remembers that much, but she didn't practice it. >> When you went to Wales, they speak Welsh like just casually? If you walk around, you hear it in the air? Everyone speaks English? Oh, yeah. But um it's like a re- resurgence. Like it's kind of like they were banned to use the language. >> Right. >> And then they brought it back. It's kind of like Hawaii. You know how like you could hear it at the airport, and then people are speaking Hawaiian like in like like like you could hear the announcements and stuff. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So, it's like that where you're if you're if you're there and then like you're at a train station, they might say it in English and Welsh and then you'll see the letters. So, people were practicing, but I've
10 heard people speaking like when you're at like a restaurant and then the table next to you um they're like speaking it together. >> Yeah. But it's not what I what I realize is is like they're doing it to practice and bring the culture back. It's like a effort. It's not like that's the only thing they speak. But when you go to the countryside there are people that only speak that. >> And you want your kid to be proficient in in Welsh, Japanese, and English? >> cuz I can't like Welsh is hard and it's like a dead language. So, it's just a cultural thing. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I think um well, for sure we'll see if if if Hannah can learn Japanese to a speaking level. Which it will yeah. That'll be so helpful. Which will encourage me to get better at Japanese because once my mom passes away, I'm not going to have any ties to Japan. Cuz
00 she's the only one you talk to in Japanese? >> She's the only one that lives there. Oh. So, then if I'm not visiting her, then I I have no more ties in any way to Japan. So, I'm like I would like it if maybe I could have my own reason to go and then Got to buy one of those $30,000 homes there. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. But I don't know cuz they like my buddy Matt like when he goes there he him and his wife they don't speak any Japanese, but they navigate. Wow. Yeah. But I don't know. I think that might be fun, you know, do that a little bit uh and then if you're in the UK, it's hella cheap actually to just visit Spain and all these other countries, right? Yeah. So, from there it's like you could you know, just try different things. 10 days here, 10 days there. Yeah, come back, make Vegas my base. Yeah, so that's that's
50 what I'm really looking forward to. I really had a good time in Hawaii. I think this will be my third consecutive year. And um I built a really cool community there and I think there's just really dope things about Hawaii that's that doesn't exist here and vice versa. Yeah. And I think that's the coolest thing about traveling and then like maybe even like living in different places is like you get you get things that you just won't get elsewhere and I love that. So, I I feel like it's like okay, maybe I could go to Japan and I can get these things and then like before I get too bored, I'll go over here and then I'll have this community or like you know, like Vegas is just ████ fun for activities and everything, right? But then like but then I think it's like it's like
41 America on crack where everything is for sale, everything's big, everything's crazy. Yeah. And then maybe going to Europe or like UK or something else, they have a completely different way of thinking. They're not very material. They're more like community-based. Everyone's outside sharing a third space. Yeah. >> Same with Japan like everyone's walking, you know? And I'm like oh, there's no there's nothing even close to that in America. Like there's just no comparison. So, I'm like that would be really ████ cool to be able to raise someone like not just go on vacation and enjoy a culture, but like okay, you're in this culture for like a whole month. Really marinate in it. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> And I think that ████ would be really really cool to do. Well, that was
31 another episode of Bart from the Heart. If you have any questions that you'd like us to answer, please put them in the comments below.
