00 I want him to be the UFC heavyweight champion. But this fool loves to ████ around all day just like me. Like ain't nobody ever going to be scared of you. He's a sweetheart. >> He's never going to whoop anyone's ass. Wait, so why do you want him to be UFC champion? That's like not a comedian. Actually, you're the the dream is odd. THE CHILD IS NORMAL. WELCOME back to another episode of Careful Boys. We have Tim and David with us today. And they're in town because they're doing a live show. Tell us a little bit about it. Nah, there's nothing much. We just every now and then we do a couple of live shows just to connect with fans. How many of these have you done live as late? Come to the one in Brooklyn on March 29th. It's so fun. Me and this fool get on stage. We we >> March 29th? >> Yeah, we both sit for a little bit. We got one in in Chicago, too. You do like

50 a live mukbang? Kind of. Um we got one in Chicago in May. Pull up. So what we do is like we ████ you know, we we talk ████ and um it's very interactive with the audience. Um we we do a lot of spoken word on the podcast, so we'll bring audience members on stage and make up bad spoken word about them. And then we normally do some type of like spicy food challenge with the audience. >> If they let us drink on stage, we'll drink with you, too. Look, we turn up a little bit and Oh, I am always drunk. It's a good time. Me, too. So it's like a live party. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. How many of these shows have you done already? Handful. Two, three, three. Handful. We did uh LA a couple times. San Diego, yeah. So we'll do Vegas and then we'll do Brooklyn and then Chicago and then whatever. >> Damn, dude. That's so dope. One of my employees was like going to fly to one

40 of your events to a club cuz she was like it would be so worth it to go to that one. And I was like, I didn't know you did club events. Yeah. You do this you do this in the club? I know I know. I I hate performing in the club. But if a club like promoter or somebody wants to give me a bag to like post the flyer and and turn up and take the whole He's like throwing a party, right? Yeah, I'll do that cuz it's like an easy bag, you know what I'm saying? Like And but I try to make sure sometimes people will do that ████ and then they just stay in their section all night, but if people are coming to because I'm on the flyer, I'll be like, all right, man. Open the ████ thing. Let's let's take pictures and you For 10 minutes and I say, get the ████ off me. The ████ Ugh, where's the sanitizer? This guy is the nicest dude ever, right? It doesn't matter what's going on. He'll send somebody look at him from a mile away and HE'LL BE LIKE, PHOTO.

32 HE'LL DO IT FOR THEM. HE'S THE NICEST guy ever, dude. Hey, that's why you got the millions of followers. >> Yeah, that's nice. I just feel like if people are especially they're paying to be there, then I'm like, yeah, cool. Let's take a photo. But also, if it's a real life interaction and I don't have any like reason to be like, yeah, go away. Because I just I just know that, you know, even if I'm annoyed, I might be annoyed for like 10 seconds. This person's going to remember this ████ forever, you know what I'm saying? It's going to be 10 seconds where they're going to be like, this fool seen Tim Chantarangsu Tim DeLaGhetto and he was a ████ ████ Yeah, so I I can fake it for 10 seconds. I feel like most people that approach are really nice, though. There's only like a small amount that's just really rude, but most I say 99.9% everybody's great. >> I mean, y'all know. Nah, not that famous. Nice kidding. How does David act with fans? Have you seen him? >> He's great. >> Yeah. He's great. >> What's he do? He's not mean to them.

22 Nah. The persona that I give out is more mean than I actually am. Fans that they come up, it's the greatest thing ever, dude. They're just super sweet. They're really nice. Minus a few weird ones. I mean, everybody has bad stories, but most of the time everybody's super nice. The only time I've ever said no to a picture is like I was in Toronto with Chia. It was ████ hot. She was on her period. Um like she had to pee. So we were like I'm like, uh Yeah yeah yeah yeah bro, she was puking, she was ████ herself. I was ████ ████ for no reason. So we're walking down the street and I saw a group of Asian guys just like, you know, just ████ they saw me walking up. THEY'RE LICKING THEIR LIPS. AND I WAS LIKE, OH ████ AND AS SOON AS I SAW THEM perk up, I was like, I I I I I I I can't guys. She's on her period.

12 She's on her period. We got to go. We got to go. We got to go. Sorry. I'm sorry. I'M SORRY. BUT UH YEAH, THAT'S THE ONLY TIME I'VE BEEN LIKE, SORRY, can't do it and get a picture with Well, that's good. I mean, that's for Chia, so What about the kids? You know what I'm saying? If I'm with the kids, I'm like, ah you know. Your kids uh know how to do the whole picture thing now, too? Like are they born into kind of like this lifestyle? Well, Veda is beginning to kind of understand that, oh, these aren't these aren't Daddy's friends. You feel me? Like cuz at first he was like, who's that? Why do they ask for a picture? I'm like, oh, that's just Daddy's friend. He just wanted a picture real quick, you know? But now she'll be like cuz I kind of explained it to her and she understands the concept of YouTube. Um she'll be like, was that your fans? WAS THAT

02 LIKE, WHY DO THEY WANT PICTURES? I'M LIKE, OH, WELL, THESE people they like Daddy's videos. They think Daddy's funny. But you're not funny, Daddy. What? How? Weird. What are you talking about? I'm like, you're not Miss Rachel. Yeah, you're not Miss Rachel. What do you do? She's like, I've never seen you teach the alphabet. What only what she thinks YouTube is? You've never been on Bluey before. Everybody has alphabet videos. Cuz what's crazy with Taika is um he's in like the life, right? He like since he's So he like he can sense that I and he'll be like, hey Dad, I think he wants a picture with you. And I'm like, damn, you could sense it? That's ████ crazy. He could sense he could sense the guy with the sweaty palms going like, oh, should I ask him?

52 And he'll just be like, hey, I just I think she's going to take a picture with them. How old is he now? He's eight, about to be nine by the end of this year. Damn, that's four fourth grade? About to be fourth grade, yeah. Isn't that crazy? He's aging. And then next year he's going to be 10. I'm like, dude, how have you been on this earth for 10 years? ████ double digits. It's ████ crazy, man. Do you have any uh dreams for him that you want to fulfill like through you? Like you have hopes for him? I feel like that's every week, man. I do, but I keep it to myself so I'm not some Asian tiger dad. >> Yeah, but what do you want, though? And also, I know he has my genes, so he has no chance of accomplishing it. I want him to be the UFC heavyweight champion. But this fool loves to ████ around all day just like me. Like ain't nobody ever going to be scared of you. He's a sweetheart. >> He's never going to whoop anyone's ass.

43 He just wants to do jokes and tickle and like flick his boogers at his friends all day. And and twerk at the soccer field. Yeah, exactly. ████ like that. Like yeah, he'll never be Wait so why do you want him to be UFC champion? That's like not a comedian. Actually, you're the the dream is odd. THE CHILD IS NORMAL. HE'S THE DREAM. YEAH, THE DREAM is odd. I want Taika to go on your podcast one day, dude. That's full circle. Go on Uncle David's podcast. Yeah. What do most fathers want their kids to like follow in their footsteps? And he's doing exactly that. He wants to be a stand-up comedian. He wants to always be on JK News. He loves being on JK News actually, which is really cute. >> like, isn't that the dream though for most dads? Right? And then but he wants him to do something completely different. >> I thought most dads want their kids to be more alpha than they were.

33 Isn't that what most like most dads >> say that, too. I don't know about alpha. >> I think I think he already is. I thought that's what most you want you want Taika to be red pill? Well, I thought like it's like, hey, your dad's a ████ You need to be more manly. Oh. I think you set the average. That's what it is. I think there is that like, you know, the the belief that the dad is like, I want you to to be better than me. Yeah yeah yeah, not necessarily alpha, but yeah. >> Not me. You stay beneath me, dude. Don't you ever achieve past me. Yeah, I want you to stay right ████ there. He told me he actually wants to be a stand-up comedian. Ugh, Jesus Christ. Good luck, kid. Is that but is that the first thing he ever said he wanted to be? That's the first thing he ever said. Oh, that's going to be it then, man. I think you want to better start putting him through some ████ dude, cuz he has nothing to talk about. This motherfucker's like, Dad, you never wake up. You just live in a BIG ASS HOUSE. OH, MAN. THIS ████ SUCKS. TOO MUCH PLACE TO WALK.

24 HEY, THAT'S A FUNNY ANGLE, THOUGH. YEAH, it is really good. He can make it work, dude. He's a character guy. >> The rich kid angle. Start sending him through ████ Start making him the kaleidoscope bread like your mom made. The soy sauce sandwiches, you know what I mean? >> Yeah, send him to the Buddhist temple for a week. >> Tell Gia to stop making sourdough bread and ████ Like start doing some weird ████ you know? Just sour bread. He has his own quirks, though, cuz like you know, I mean, I'm a rascal. He's a rascal. So I think so I think he'll have his own ████ rascal thoughts. So like the other day, he was uh we have this thing called safe space, right? So we want to open like this whole like channel of communication where it's okay to be honest. And so he'll be like, uh hey Mom, can I have a safe space? And we're like, okay. Cuz if he has a safe space, then if he ████ up or breaks a rule, he doesn't get punished for it cuz we want to we want to reward honesty. Well, why did I call it so gay? I don't know. We're

14 And then we're like, okay, what's the We're like what is it? What is it? And he goes, so like I was peeing in the backyard and then Mia, which is our dog, Mia like walked into the pee. And then Gia's like, no, you peed on me. And he's like, tell me the truth. He's like, yeah, I did. This ████ This ████ lied during the safe space. He's like, how did you ████ how did you talk yourself into an ass whipping? LIKE HOW THE ████ DID THAT HAPPEN? >> SO Mia was sleeping so hard. >> got a card, yeah. >> Mia was sleep crawling and I just happened to be peeing like this. You know what's crazy, Dad? Mia loves golden showers. And so I just peed in her mouth and Mia was like, "Yeah." Yeah, you already had an out and you didn't use it. So how did you discipline

05 him after that? How did you like reinforce, "Hey, you don't need to do all that." >> Mia gets to pee on him. Yep. So we told him one We have to all pee on Mia as a family. Human pee is not like Well, first of all, we're trying to tell him, "Don't pee where the dogs pee." Cuz he went outside to where the dogs pee and then the dogs, I guess, was like, "Oh, I guess we're all peeing today." So we're like, "First, don't pee where the dogs pee." >> Okay. Uh number two, don't pee on her cuz now she's going to smell like ████ the whole day. Cuz the whole day the other dog kept licking Mia where Mia got peed on. Oh my god. We're like, "The The dogs are going to jump on the couches, jump on them. We're not going to have human piss all over the place." So we try to teach a little bit of logic. Okay. But I think he's just He's just a rascal though. Logic thing. The rule is don't pee where the dog pees when the rule should be pee in the toilet. That's the most ████ up household ever. >> Cuz then there's too many angles. Yeah, there's too many >> This household makes no sense. You can't

57 blame your child for anything, dude. It's like, "Why? I peed over here. I peed on Mommy's leg. You said don't pee where the dog pees." WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST TELL HIM TO PEE IN THE TOILET? TRIED THAT. THAT'S THE FIRST RULE. If he's like you, then he is going to try to find those little loopholes between like, "Oh, you didn't say toilet." Cuz didn't you used to react like that as a kid? Rascal. When they tell you, "Hey, don't do that." You'd be like, "Oh, but you didn't say don't do this." >> But this fool taught him to pee in bushes though, dude. Oh, yeah. He's been taught since he was a little kid. So now it's just transferred over now that he's an adult. This is the hard I mean, do you guys Well, he doesn't really speak as much yet, but with your kids, do you find a hard line or balance between being parent and friend? Cuz I Cuz like Taika will be like, "Dad, I ████ love peeing outside." And I'm like, "Dude, I ████ love peeing outside, too." Dude, I get you. And then I And then

48 AND THEN I'LL BE LIKE, "BUT DON'T ████ DO IT THOUGH. Don't ████ do it." He's like, "Oh my god, I know, right?" Taika forever for his whole life has no idea why he's in trouble ever. He's like, "Dude, Dad, you told me you like TO DO IT. THAT'S WHY I DID IT. NOW I SAID SAFE SPACE AND THEN YOU DIDN'T GET ME. WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?" YEAH, we had a moment. >> see Geo just like, "WHAT THE F███?" YOU KNOW WHAT IS YOU KNOW WHAT IS FUNNY ABOUT him though? So we were eating the other day and this fool would rat himself out and then like he would lose out on a deal because he rats himself out. So he'll be like, "Oh, Daddy, can I get a Sprite?" And then Bart's like, "All right, one more one more Sprite." He goes, "OH, I CAN'T." AND THEN THEY'RE LIKE, "WHY?" "Already had one this week." And I'm like, "What happened?" Cuz we have one one soda a week. >> Yeah. No, and he was going to order it for him, but he ████ regulated himself. >> That's dope.

38 >> He's on it. He's a very honest kid. I wouldn't have done that. I would've been like, "God, a ████ forgot." You know, like most most kids would. And he's so honest. Well, Veda be lying, bro. Oh, yeah. No, low-key she's still trying to figure out, you know what I'm saying? Like like, okay, maybe I can get away with this, maybe not. Like even Like this little ████ today, you know, a couple days ago, you know, as soon as we get in the house, we're like, "Okay, wash your hands, change your clothes, you know, get out of your outside clothes." And so like she was trying to have a snack. I'm like, "Baby girl, did you wash your hands yet?" She's like, "Yeah." I'm like, "Did you?" She's like, "Yeah, smell it." And they still smell like dirt. She's like, "Yeah, I did. Smell." I'm like, "I don't know, baby girl." She's "Let me ask Mommy." I'm like, "Oh." If If she If If she washed her hands, not >> Woah. Yeah, so and then like and then, you know, I can't I can't remember if she had done it or not, but you know, she's still she's she's testing the limits, you know what I'm saying?

28 >> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, oh yeah, oh what can I get away with with Dad? Or she'll you know, or she does a thing where she'll ask me, I'll say no, or then she'll ask Mom, Mom will say no, and then she'll come and ask me. And then, you know, you just hear she in the other room, "Veda! I said." And I'm like, "Oh ████ sorry, baby girl. Didn't Didn't know that was me, you know?" She has Mom voice is the most ████ craziest thing I've ever heard in my life. It's so demanding. Like everything about she is tiny. She's a little almond face, little tiny little girl, dude. And all OF A SUDDEN, "VEDA! VEDA!" THAT'S ALL YOU HEAR. AND THE KIDS know when it's time for business. Cuz Daddy is un-serious as hell. They're like me then. No, I I have >> got an enforcer voice? I've seen you boss up though. I do now because they're Now that they're both talking, they're ████ annoying. You know what I'm saying? Talking to each other. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So now I have to be like be like, all right, I now I got I have to boss up, but I just find

19 everything so funny. You know what I'm saying? So I'll be in the middle of some ████ I don't know, ████ I can't even think, you know? But something inappropriate and I'm like, I want to laugh, but I'm smiling and I'm like trying to tell her to stop and then she was in the background shaking her head cuz she knows, you know? Daddy's just Daddy's just yucking it up like a rascal. Cuz how do you not, man? How do you not when it's like you don't want them to lose that comedic edge either, you know? I try So I try to I try to record ████ When Taika ████ up, like let's say I have him doing push-ups, okay, you ████ up, you're doing push-ups, right? He's all sad. I pull out the phone and I record him cuz it's cuz it's for later, right? He looks at me. DON'T RECORD ME. GOT THE VIDEO. I'm good now. Makes me laugh even more. That's like what the director wants so badly. We got the shot. Real emotion. Yeah. Very strong choice.

11 I'm building a collection now of the videos I'm going to play when he gets married. I'm building it now.
