00 [Music] Welcome back everybody to all over the place episode of the Careful Boys where we're doing another lunchtime mukbang. Ground beef and rice. Ground beef, rice, and one egg. What are you eating? What are you eating? Go over that percentage. Go over the macros real quick. I'm trying to get a little bit leaner. So, I packed my own lunch. This is 964 964 ground beef with 100 grams of rice and a egg and Sriracha. Boring. I'm trying to get an hourglass figure. So, I got white meat, chicken, and beef. Wa plate. That actually looks really good, though. That's the whitest white bean I've ever seen. I got a burrito. That's not a burrito. Well, guess what? I got a

50 burrito and a taco. Oh, you're you're trying not to do me. You're Are you like bulking? What's going on? Honestly, you probably need to eat like that. I think C's been trying to bulk for like 12 years. The more this guy lifts, the more hungry you're going to get, for sure. Especially you putting him work this. How many pounds do you weigh right now, Cam? 126. We should do a weekly check-in with K. What's the fattest you've ever been? 130. Damn. There was a point when I couldn't pass 135 forever. Really? You couldn't pass? No. And then um Bart's like one of his old employees, they uh started helping me with my nutrition and then I bulked and I never got cut. It's a forever bulk. But you're doing it now though, right? Yeah. I went up to like 180. So what's your what's the plan

42 that you're on? You said you're getting help from somebody. Like what is that? Yeah. So Matt, shout outs to Goku Flex Matt Keto. Dude, I love that guy. He's super nice. So cool. That sounded funny. It's like Yeah. Matt, shout outs to Goku. That's his name. He's a He's He's a legend though. He's a legend in the space. He's like a cosplayer. And uh Yeah. Hey, shout out to Christina Applegate. Christina Million. Thinking about you. He's one of the OG Asian like fitness uh YouTubers. He literally looks like Goku, bro. And then I remember like I never met him, but I remember like randomly Bart would collab with them and then he'll just be in a video and I didn't know he lived in Hawaii. Oh yeah. So he hit me up and he's like, "Dude, Joe, like let's go work out or whatever." So I think he

33 moved there once he had a kid. Yeah. So he told me he was like in New York for like the longest time. He knows Han and all that stuff, too. So I was like, "Oh, cool. small world. This guy put chips back in the bag. So, so what's part of the training now? Like what are you going to do uh with with what's your what's your goals with 2025? You have goals like specific fitness or health goals? Yeah. So, like you know how I did the fast and stuff like that? Yeah. I just been getting hella health problems, but it's because I think I just been I just grew up with hella food allergies. my eczema, my whatever. And I've been getting more flare ups like after I got fat. How does your eczema flare up even? I never see it on you. I get it on my I get so I

24 It's not that bad because I after I fasted and cleaned up, it's but it's here. I get that, too. And then but yeah, four years ago I I had a crazy outbreak from neck to toe. Oh, damn. And then eczema from neck to toe. Yeah. I started getting hives and I and I have a breakout. It's not even eczema, but Wow. It's like um It's like Oh, can you see it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Look like syphilis. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'll give you a better view. Oh ████ You see this ████ Oh, wo. What is that? Syphilis. Yeah. On this side, too. What is that? It's it's it's hives, dude. So, like out of nowhere. Wo. Yeah. I started getting allergic reactions like And then I have to take antihistamine. Wow. So, like one day I woke up and half of my mouth looked like I got bee stung. It was

14 really funny looking. You know, like that emoji where you look like a caveman with big lips. What? What did you eat to that trigger? I don't know. I really don't. So, like that's what was the most frustrating thing. It could be so many things like we found mold in our office and and they're saying that could be the cause. That That's a big one though. Yeah. Um, but also it's like sometimes I'm not even in there and I and I and I'll break out. So like I just went down the rabbit hole and something just kept coming up which is like elimination diet. So carnivore like a lot of people that had autoimmune diseases, they go carnivore, they heal themselves. Mhm. So it was never like an aesthetic sports approach. I just I was getting tired of like just randomly having physical like disease issues. Yeah. And then because I'll just

06 be chilling and all of a sudden I wake up and then like it's just itching and that's the worst, man. Yeah. That's ████ So because of that I think um me and Hannah just started trying different diets like let's try carnivore, let's try. Yeah. Let's try just fasting and then um I felt hella good and then my skin stuff started going away. Nice. And then just coincidentally, Matt was like, "Yo, let's go work out." And I was just telling him what I've been doing. Um, and I'm like, "Yeah, I just went on to chat GBT real quick, put in a little program. I just follow that." And then like like I was telling you the other day about macros. Like I've always had help from people. Just follow this. So I never understood like carbs and fats, what it does. Yeah. Yeah, I just know like basic rules of thumbs like like hey if you want to maintain muscle just eat your body weight in g. And then so for

58 the past year it's just been like how do I just check off these things? And I haven't had the time to sit down and study anything but now like with someone like Matt or whatever it's like hey I'll just do it for you and then you just kind of like roll with this. And then I'm like cool. And he goes what do you want to do? And I'm like, to be honest, like I think if I can get rid of my visceral fat, I think a lot of my health issues would probably disappear. So like, let's just go do that. And then I like it when I just follow like a system cuz it makes it so easy for me. Um cuz I'm not trying to like learn and then invent something and test it. Yeah. Like I know that you want you want to know the proven model. That's why people hire coaches. Yeah. This guy. But at the same time like this guy is a coach. No. Yeah. He's He wants to collab. So, I thought it was cool like two kill two birds with one stone

48 where like we create content, you know? Or do like a journey on your YouTube channel. Dude, training footage, I think, will always be the best, man. People love watching people come from one spot. Yeah. Get to the dream body that they want. Nobody wants to see a buff guy get more buff. You want to see like a average Joe? Yeah. Average Joe get buff. Yeah. Like when Bart got fat. Yeah. Then he lost it all. Yeah. That was fun. And in the past, I think I've been fat, fat, fat, fat Bart. I've been hella fortunate to be around like you guys cuz like I remember like right before co I would go train with Nick or like even before that when Bart would just create these random programs. He would send it to me and I would just follow that. But that kind of made me dependent on people around me where I

38 never really learned anything cuz it was it was convenient. Like for me it's easy to go to the gym if my friends are there or like when you're there I just go and I meet you up and we hang out. Yeah. And it wasn't until like a decade later where I just go to the gym on my own. M. So then like that that changed the game for me is like just actually enjoying the gym cuz bro like I was around gym people but I ████ I hated it like like it felt like cleaning up my room. What was the ████ for you? Did you start looking at it as like your own time like me time where you get to like zone out and stuff? It was how I felt psychologically. So, like doing activities every day, I noticed that my mind was different, like having a cup of coffee. And I didn't notice that in the past. I know I like the runner's high, but I didn't realize like how frustrated

30 I was throughout the day if I didn't get my wiggles out. So, just because of that, I was like, "Okay, well, let me go in there." And then the way I used to work out with bar was every single time it was so crazy that I didn't want to go to the gym cuz it was like maybe some days you don't want to go a,000%. Maybe you So then when I changed how I started going and maybe I'll go 40% but I'll just stick to going every day. That changed my approach. Dude, that's the thing I think people mess up on is when they first start training or like when I'm working with like a new lady who's like trying to lose a ton of weight. Yeah, David. They just go way too ham. They try to get like four workouts in a week. Damn. And then they want to get their walks in and they want to change their diet. It's like way too much at at the beginning and then burn out. Yeah. Like two weeks they're like, I can't do this anymore. I need to take a break. This is too stressful for me. There's no way I can manage this. This lifestyle

21 isn't for me. When in reality, it's just like slow roll it, right? That's really good. Cuz the more extreme you go, the probability of re of you rebounding the other way really high. Is so high. So, you'll see people do like these crazy keto transformations cuz they literally completely eliminate the food group and they're like, "Oh ████ I lost 60 lbs in like 2 months and then another 2 months later like, dude, you're fatter than you even were before. What the ████ happened?" Cuz your body's not supposed to lose that much weight that quickly. Yeah. Like slow and gradual is always the best. Yeah. That's what I'm doing right now. Hey, but that's that's legit though. You want No, I'll tell you why. But you want to set a time limit too though. Ken, what up guys? Thank you guys. Join our Patreon. Help us out. Thanks. See you guys there. Say hi to me. Yeah. So, 2 years ago, I started at 110 and I told myself I want to do it the slow way and it took me it took me 2 years to get to 126, but I I checked my weight pretty often. I never went backwards from there. I'm like slowly actually getting to the goal that I want without losing it, you know. What's your goal? Like 135. That's your ultimate goal? 135. That's all I need because I don't I'm not trying to get like too big where I have to maintain the calories all the time. You want to still maintain my lifestyle but just not be underweight.

03 Can's a grazer. I want to stay Asian petite. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Matt says that I like my clothes. He's going to try to get me to 155 to 160ish. How much you weigh right now? Like 1774 already. Damn. Yeah. You're going to be ████ lean. Yeah. But I don't know cuz I asked him like where's you know what at what point is it like a unhealthy lean? Cuz I don't want to feel like that either. Like I'm not trying to compete. You'll probably feel it like when you're what at like when did you start feeling it like below 10%. Is when you started feeling like Yeah. Also, it's really hard to get unhealthy lean is so hard. Okay. It's like it's like uh saying like um I don't want to be a billionaire. Okay. It's ████ hard. Like like Pam is lean, right? Yeah. But his parents are rich, but he's still not healthy

53 lean. I see. You know, like by the time you're like shredded, shredded like 5 6%. Yeah. Yeah. See, you you heard it here first, guys. I'm not unhealthy. It's hard to get there. I don't think you're I think you're pretty unhealthy. Lean. You're like unhealthy. No. And you were trying to do some fitness stuff this year, too, right? Oh, yeah. For sure. For sure. Right now, I'm in a I just want to like get stronger phase. Your back is getting bigger every time I touch you. Wow. Is it lowkey? I always check your back. I'm like, "Yep, checked your back. Recctors are good." You know, lats are nice and thick. I will say implementing the barbell rows has been really, really fun. And just like it it's a it's I feel like new foundational exercises are really good indicators for growth. Yeah. Because when you do something, even

44 though it's like maybe simple or foundational, when you do it for the first time, you're just like, "Oh, I don't know how much I could do." and then like you slowly are able to build that up to realize where your cap's at. And that's just a cool way to like discover that you're like processing and growing something. Um, so I'm just in a space right now where I just want to get strong. But ironically, uh, again, when like a certain type of gig comes into play, it like doesn't knock me off course. just like rechanges a little bit of the trajectory where I'm like, damn, I need to like get lean again or dang, I need to be able to move faster again and like work on explosivity and stuff like that. I need to be capable. You need a need a hybrid approach. You need to be more capable. I think honestly, how how often or how bad is it to keep moving the goalpost? What do you mean? What do

35 you mean? Like if you have a goal and then something comes up and you have to change that goal and then you have to change it again because of your lifestyle. Like how is it bad to be inconsistent with your goal? I think it depends on what it is. Is it okay to move it here and there? Cuz some people will move their goalpost because their brother is having a baby shower next week, you know? So they like, "Oh, I can't I can't stay on my fitness goal for this." But like like for Anthony, this is has to do with money and things like that. And like it won't be too crazy if you had to change up some things. I feel like most people haven't even achieved the plateau cuz like for for example for me like I can't move the goal post because I never get to my goal post. That's most people that's Yeah, that's that's normal. Like yesterday the first one hit the first milestone. I hit a um I hit a PR yesterday. I'm 41, right? Yeah. What you Hey, what was it then? Tell us about it. I hit a bench at 245. D and then I was able to rep 225s

29 four times. Hey, for fours. Yeah. So that but but I remember when I was religiously going to the gym and working my ass off in my early 30s, my max was a 225 and my approach was different. Huh? I said, "Look at you now." And I think that uh Yeah. So, like the point is I'm 41 and then or I'm going to be and then um I still am pushing the boundaries because I haven't even hit my peak in my earlier stronger years. So, when you're benching, you're thinking about, man, I can't wait to tell ████ Anthony about this. You already know this sounds like, oh, Anthony did 225, huh? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He said, I'll one up him. I'll get my own task rabbit to try. Put the clips on just to add one more pound. Oh my god. Hey, if I can inspire,

22 I'm doing my job. I honestly when you said that, I looked at Joe cuz I have a perfect clear vision of Joe. Low key, I saw a little little fire in his eye. What happened? When he talked about him b███████ 25, I saw a fire in your eye where I was like, "Oh, Joe's about to get on his fitness s███." What? I think I think we're all about to be You said 245 for one and 225 for four, huh? He said that's the Hey, that's the new markers. You should be able to lift more than me. You're bigger than me. You're big for your height. Oh, thank you for that compliment. Got big old pecs. Both got long arms. Would you say it's harder for me? Usually harder. Yeah, I got long everything. Heyo. No, no, no. No, that's not true. That's not true. No, no, no. Cut that out. Cut that out. I do feel like it's like a lot harder to do certain things. Like even just like good range of motion on like a a barbell

12 squat. I feel like I'm pushing so much harder. Squats take forever for you to finish. Yeah. Like hell hella work. Got long femurss and ████ Just get a wider stance and you can shorten the range of motion if you want to. Or get a big arch like those people that bench and go. They're like out here like Yeah. Yeah. If you want to be a quitter, dude. You want to get stronger? I think unless you're like a athlete like no one's ever at the peak and then pushing themselves for the 5 in like difference or 5% difference like like I just think normal people like us we're just we haven't even seen what we're capable of unless we get B's capable app honestly most people my only goal is that 135 and to not skip more than two weeks skip see

03 that's a big I think I think for most people what they need to think about is like can I just get in the gym like twice a week every week for like a month or like a once a week whatever schedule that they need to cuz I feel like the consistency is always way harder than anything else. There's like macro goalpost and then there's like the micro goal post you know like my micro goal post is like I either want to get strong or I want to get like athletic or lean or whatever like that can shift depending but like stay ████ fit. So this is what I think the main goalpost is. M people are so focused on result goalposts. You want habit goalposts, consistency goalposts. You want like I train for a whole year twice a week. That is way more amazing than joining a CrossFit gym

53 and then training 30 days straight and then taking 11 months off. It's almost like that's it's almost like that that habit. But that's most people, you know. Oh, cool. You joined a mountain biking club. What happened? Oh, I stopped. Yeah, that's most people cuz I think that consistency goal by itself is automatically going to take you to that next spot. It'll surpass whatever result goal post do you want it or going to surpass it? I think the beginning people should do something that's fun cuz like the gym unless it's fun to you it's so hard to do it like cuz then it's another habit that it's I think group classes or a activity if it's fun you can't wait to go. Yeah. You know what's cool about the gym that I never thought about before is cuz you know how like our jobs well for my job I

44 have to be on my computer. I have to like be on my phone. Like I'm always around technology and the gym is the only hour I have where I put my phone away. I'm just focusing on my body and that's it. And to me that's like like the treasure. That's actually that's smart. I just don't have to ████ think about any screens or anything. I just focus. Shut off. Yeah, cuz a lot of people are on their phones in the gym too. I hate that ████ dude. I put a timer on. I need to get better at that now with the home gym. Oh, dude. It's so easy to just ████ It's so easy to be distracted on like random ████ with the capable app. You could have a timer where it tracks your rest periods. Really? Yeah. Damn. Keeps you on track. Very good. Think about it. Do you do you dance at home? Only when I have to. Oh, dude. That's gay. When was the last time? Tiff won't let me dance at home. Damn. You won't let me. I feel like

36 that's like a whole another topic. That's really difficult. Wow. to dance at home. But isn't dance? You're not creative, huh? What? Isn't it a community thing? Yeah, but unless you're like you like if Anthony has to choreograph like for a project or for something. How come you only asked him? Uh let's hear from everyone. Yeah. Do you jiu-jitsu at home on another video? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like Yeah, I was about to say something, but I'm like, "No, that's like a whole different topic.
