Uh they're always smiling, very happy people, that's for sure. Like um you know, very nice, right? Filipinos are very nice. Filipinos are nice, but not like with each other, I guess. You know, like it would be like face a guest. There's like a jolly folk. Yeah. And a Jollibee. It's very people love to party. Party. Yes. They like to rude and

And yeah, that's what are the guys like? Are there like dating? Dating stereotypes that Filipino guys have out there that are kind of the same like worldwide.

Oh, is it cuz the humidity is high out there? Yeah. Controls that. And what about the Chinese boys? Don't talk to me like that. I'm your boyfriend. That's pretty good. Very good. That's very good. That's really good. My wife's Filipino, so I'm around the whole family. He was lucky enough to marry

So, I don't know if there's a lot of matriarchs over there because we got stereotypes over here with them Filipino dads. Yeah, they're all nurses. They're nowhere to be found. Oh my god. They're how do you say they're a missing person's? Oh no. Well, in Macau is so small. The search is on. They can't run very far. Yes, exactly. They can't run very far to win. They have to be more responsible. Yes, exactly. And and they're pretty tight-knit, too. So, anything you do,

You know how like when white people pass each other when they walk into I think it's that it's that. But like the Filipino one just goes or it just goes down on the side neutral. No, no, no. If they if you're both Filipino, then you do the eyebrow thing like, "Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oops. That's cruel. Don't do that." That

I think I think for me it comes from like the trauma of every time I was in trouble my parents. So like if I hear it, I get like a drop in my heart and I have to look cuz it's like you got you're literally enabling this guy now. He's going to go into a car of Philippines go. If you go to like the market and you do that, it's very mean. Very respectful. Sometimes people do it to call someone too actually. Like just just like a casual like hey. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Especially in Macau is like if you're not m like local then you're most likely Filipino. Wow. Is the Filipino the biggest ethnic group outside of macadamia? Macadamia. I guess Chinese are the m the outside of Chinese and then besides

That's why my hospitality stuff. Uh hospitality or cleaning houses made because like a lot of uh hospitality in Vegas is also Filipinos. Yeah. Yeah. Uh but then you also have a small group of people who went to like who graduated with a good degree and good like engineers and stuff. You have a small group of that. And then but that was in like the '9s

It's very They think you're a maid. Cuz that's typical like to the locals like a lot of Filipinos are maids, like live in maids. But because they they they're earn a lot like compared to, you know, working whatever in Philippines. That's why. But yeah, most families have a maid. When you walk by, they just go maid sometimes. Or or wa maybe it's like slug maybe it's like slug bug oh got you

I know there I'm so not used to like the comments or compliments here so yeah it's so like flip like there it's like even like it's like so dark. Oh my god. And you can get darker. It's that, huh? Yeah. But how she would hear like you would hear like, "Oh, I didn't know you could get darker in a negative way." Like, "Oh, I didn't know you could get darker." My classmate that that was a joke like like, "Oh, you can still get darker. Wow." Or like, "Oh, you don't need to wear sunscreen, right? It's not like you're going to get darker." You are sunscreen, aren't you?

But yeah, and so uh it was, you're right, is very bottle service. They like bottle service. It's Chinese, um um people. And bartenders, all Filipino like Oh, all the barbacks are like Filipino. Yes. Yes. But they're so like over the top, dude. They can like juggle

So it was like 180. Yeah. Dispatcher. I was a dispatcher. Oh, nice. Yeah. It was like complete 180 and I was like like the treatment, right? It was a resort, a huge resort. And so, but then I went to HR. I was like, I hate my job. Okay. Is there another built for the entertainment life? It was just so much workload. Like, they don't

Are they all Filipino, too? No, the supervisors were Chinese. Yeah, maybe that's a difference, maybe. But they were so much nicer to the local. Spot the difference when you say they'll tell you. Is it the Macanese that you're talking about? Macadamia half Portuguese. They call it a white card instead of green card. Chinese card. Do you have white card? I just got to make sure like, you know, the request special requests from guests would be like uh handled. I like let the RA know. Room attendants. Some of them would request like I don't want Filipino cleaner like you know that's rude and like but then the supervisor like just send it Filipino cleaner who cares like because they wouldn't be there you know some of the casino um VIPs they're so what's the alternative if they don't want a Filipino cleaner mainlander I mean Chinese like Chinese do they ever go like I want an Irish elf or something I want an Irish scllywag imagine yeah that's like the third option Filipino. I get me a muffet. But it's crazy cuz like
15:14 the room attendance, right? Like there are people they're very overqualified. They all have college degrees. Like some of them like I I knew one woman that was a nurse in Philippines that became a room attendant in just didn't like take the medical test yet. Bachelor's of like a PhD. It's folding bed sheets. Sometimes you earn more doing that. That's true. That's true. Yes. Super. A lot more. And um yeah, Mac there Chinese people want to work there. Wait, are they like room attendants? Like they come up and they help or are they cleaners? Like tell they when they're not in the room, they come and clean it. Yeah, they when they're not in the room, they come and clean it. Like Yeah, dude. The the hotels here are gross compared to the standard. I was like, "What the ████ is a mirror?" They don't They don't clean it until you complain. America's like 10 times the price and it's garbage. The quality. I'll be like, "Uh,

M what about um now this is a kind of a downer question but like how do you did you ever notice any of those things where like um the cleaners that are Filipino they get trapped in situations where they're just like stuck and they can't get out. You ever seen those sad um kidnapping work? Yeah. You know like where sometimes like uh or do they have a better system to protect against that? Because in other countries when they'll have like Filipino cleaners out there, they'll just like y their passport and they're just like now you're a slave basically. Not that I mean more financially stuck but not like

They will like train you before you get out of Philippines cuz I was born and raised in Macau but like I had to be treated like a foreigner. So I had to go back to Philippines to be hired and then so I had to go through an agency and the agency would like coach Yeah. You have to go to coaching and be like, "Oh, you can't remember not to give your passport. Remember, remember you have rights, you know, like is it the Filipino government doing this to like protect their people or where what is it?" There is a Filipino embassy there like if you anything bad happens, but yeah, like I've heard like news of like um abuse and stuff like that. Well, like who's running the school and why is it mandatory? Uh like that is that was like a hiring agency. Oh. I had to pay the agency to

And it was so weird though cuz they're like oh we need your criminal records in Philippines. Like I've never lived here like criminal records. Go start a criminal record. Exactly. Like just get a paper. I was like okay. And then Yeah. So, and then people just go out and they call them OFW overseas Filipino workers. Yeah. So, Philippines airport is the worst airport in the world. Like, is it the worst in the world? Yeah, you you got to pay to go there and it's not like great as well. Like, it's it's bad. You can Google it's the worst airport in the world. And you have to pay for to the for the terminal and it's expensive actually. But OFW you don't have to pay like you have another lane like they call they encourage you. Yeah. Yeah.
