00 I don't know all I heard. That's all I heard. But with Pete when he did that new talk to the generals >> talking about the Secretary of War. >> When you come out of boot camp, you're going to be calling him honorable Pete Se Heet. >> You'd be calling him daddy brother. >> Welcome back everybody to another episode of the Careful Boys where hey we got to welcome back Subin. Everybody. >> What's up Subie? How you doing man? Did you let everybody know the news? >> I think so. I think so. [laughter] >> What was that long ass pause? >> That was a good pause. >> Editor, make that pause longer. >> Figure out what the news was too myself. >> Oh, okay. >> What's the news? >> This is his last JK News shoot with us before he goes to boot camp. >> Dang. >> This is what that is what you said and you tried to downplay that right before

50 we started filming. >> Tell us the news. Okay, no more long pauses. >> Yeah, so that's the news pretty much. Um, this is going to be my last session with you guys in boot camp and then until I'm back. >> Or we could zoom you in from boot camp, right? >> Oh, hell no, man. Dude, my my probably my phone calls will only be like five maybe 30 minutes max and I'm going to use that for my kid. >> Five, maybe 30 minutes. >> Wait, you're going to use that for your kid? He can barely talk. >> Yeah, it was >> my wife and kid. >> Oh, okay. Okay. >> Come on, guys. >> Give us 18. Can we have 18 so we get a video out of it? >> No. You guys do a FaceTime or you guys have a like a like a wall on the phone? >> No, we're going to be able to use our phone. >> What the ████ Hey, >> it ain't it ain't jail, bro. >> That's crazy. >> No, I think he's comparing to his time when he had no phone. >> I wasn't in jail. >> Weren't you in uh your time was like

40 2001, wasn't it? >> 2003. >> Rotary phone Morse code and ████ >> Both my brothers did chair force. They couldn't do phone stuff. >> He says he has uh access with a phone once a week now. I think every Sunday. That's insane. >> I don't know. All I heard That's all I heard. But with Pete, when he did that new talk to the generals, >> talking about the Secretary of War. >> Yeah. Secretary of War. >> He said, >> "Things might be different. Things might be different." You know what I mean? So, I don't know. >> When you come out of boot camp, you're going to be calling him honorable Pete Seg. >> Yeah, probably. >> You'd be calling him daddy, brother. >> But what did he say? What's his new policy? Uh he just want everyone to be more uh like everything the boot camp and stuff like that. But the one part is he just wants everything to be harder or like the way it used to be back in the day which is no like soft stuff. Don't

31 let things go. Boot camp should be hard. You know what I mean? Like >> when did it change? >> Gradually over time. >> Gradually over time it did change. There's a thing called shark attack which was like like you just get smoked for a week or so but now they took out shark attack and did more of the first 100 yard which is like a lot of teamwork build and fun stuff, right? But the shark attack was the one that was getting smoked that eventually got popped out and switched for the different one which was which is called the 100 yard. >> Have you guys seen his speech? >> Nope. I saw clips >> where he talks about he wants to bring uh the military back to its highest male standards >> because they've been lowering a lot of standards for female and then for him he's like we're going to bring it back to the highest and it sounds I think if you're not in the military it sounds crazy sounds like oh my god it's crazy that means no one's going to make the cut >> but the old highest male standard is

23 still only like 40 PUSH-UPS OR SOMETHING. >> WHAT? >> YEAH, it's crazy. It was like >> 40 push-ups >> before. The requirement already wasn't very high. Like compared to special ops, obviously like the general branches was already not high, but we've gotten so soft as a nation. They they were like, "Oh, well, ████ it. Just do like 20. Well, the girls will just do this. Well, if the girls do this, how about the fat guys just do this?" So, now we're like really off track. You guys see the that that picture that's been going around the uh National Guard? It's like four dudes coming off a truck and they're ████ fat as ████ >> Really? You know what I'm talking about, right? >> From what the ████ is that? >> They got sent from Texas to Chicago, but the four four dudes that came out look like they've been eating too good. >> Way too good. >> Like, why would what? Why are they the first one out? You know >> what? >> Yeah, they're way too thick. >> They look like if they got on a pull-up

13 bar, the pull-up bar would bend. >> Dang. >> Like, dude, this is crazy. >> They look like they can't even reach the pull-up bar. >> Oh, man. I got to see this picture now. Oh, yeah. I'm trying to I'm trying to look up different ones, but >> there's there's the one that's been going around. >> That's the one where the guy's trying to >> One guy has glasses. Everyone has a crazy like pot belly. It looks like the uniforms don't even fit correctly. >> No, it looks stretched. >> So, Subie, are you expecting this to be like really tough? Like from what you hear? >> Uh, I'm expecting everything to be tough. That's how I'm going to go in so I can be mentally prepared. You know what I mean? So, I'm not going to think it's going to be chill. I'm not going to think it's easy. I'm just going to go in and it's going to be hard right off the rip. Has anybody told you? Yeah, but it's National Guard. >> No, actually, no. Nope. I Dude, you know what? What the hell is that? A fake one? >> I don't know why it doesn't pull when I pull it over. >> Well, it did. I just saw it. I just saw it. It popped in.

04 >> All right. Well, keep talking. You guys making it awkward. >> I'm going to be honest. >> Yeah. >> The whole the whole thing about the National Guard, people will clown on you and stuff like that, but lately we've been getting a lot more uh love from all my other buddies. >> Are these guys National Guard guys? Yeah. >> Yeah. That's it right there. >> That's why they get clowned on. But technically, they go to the same boot camp as the army. >> It's just after you go to your whatever unit, but afterwards they kind of adopted the cop lifestyle where they no longer upkeep and they all turn into that. >> Mhm. >> When I saw >> the idea that this is like a meme, it's like that's so embarrassing. >> Especially old veterans. Old veterans. You see this, you're like, dude, all of those guys would have got admin separated immediately. Too fat. Too fat. Too fat. Too You're You're out immediately. >> They would have got sent to fat camp. >> Dang. They fat camp. >> They actually There's actually fat camp

54 in boot camp. >> No, there's fat camp before boot camp. >> What the ████ is that, >> dude? That that's that's something where you have to lose weight and have your proper sizing before you go to boot camp. >> I didn't know that they have a program for that. I thought you had to just do that. >> No, there actually is a program for that stuff. >> Hey, so I remember when you were in the reserves, right? Like you had to train like on a regular. like you have to do the hikes and all that. How the ████ are they getting so fat if they all have to do that? >> They got laxed on regulations. >> Because some MOS's or your class it it's it's not really like a physically uh school. You could be cyber security. You could be you could be admin. >> Yeah, but you don't have to jog or nothing. >> Not not not the National Guard. Sometimes they don't do that ████ >> Those guys don't look like they've been jogging. >> They don't look like they be doing all

44 that. >> Do you guys miss hearing Secretary of Defense or do you think Secretary of War is cooler? >> Secretary of War is cooler. >> You think it's cooler? I think it's like you guys had a ████ van name and then you're trying to act tough. That's what I think >> because you're not actually being tough. >> Yeah. I just think Secretary of War is like it's just like I'm a badass a little bit. You know what I mean? >> Kind of. But if you did look at the freaking history of, you know, America's war and everything, we were ████ badass. We were ████ on it. We're going to war because of who knows what. But we're still >> Go get land, brother. >> We're still out there banging on every country, man. What about S uh Secretary of Fafo? >> I like Secretary of Fo. >> That's cool. >> I just tell you, >> Secretary in general just sounds weak, though. [laughter] >> Sounds like a hot chick. >> Yeah, that's true. >> Be more forgiving if these guys were

34 like the quarter masters, though. If they were just like your cooks. >> You want your cooks to be fat. >> That's what I'm saying. Would you be like, "All right, I ████ with the US Army, though." >> So, here's this thing. I saw this uh meme going on, which I thought was pretty cool. It was this black dude in the army, and he was like, when the whole new standards came out, he was looking all over social media to see what everyone thought, especially from service members, prior and current, of what they thought. And he goes, he's seen every branch complain except for the Marine Corps. >> He goes, he has seen zero Marines complain because for Marines, you just hold a standard. And they've never like kind of like watered it down. So to me I'm like then just don't water it down then. Like everyone should be held to a standard and keep it that way so that you know you you never see stuff like that. >> Yeah. But Marines never complain anyway. >> That's true. >> At all. >> What do you mean? Like [laughter] everyone was complaining about the standards being higher. >> Yeah. They go, "Oh, we're bringing it

24 back to the HIGHEST MALE STANDARD. OH NO, NOT THOSE." >> Why would you complain for wanting to be more prepared and fit? >> Cuz now they're like, >> "That doesn't make any sense." >> So imagine you're this guy, right? And then they're like, "Okay, you have two months to lose 40 pounds or you're out." And then they're like, "I'm married. I have a kid. I need to." So the regular person that's like, "I'mma control my life." They're like, "Okay, I know what to do. I'm hit the gym and do whatever." But a lot of people, they don't want their status quo to change. So they're tell So those guys are like, "Oh, you're telling me I'm going to lose my GI bill. I can't I have to get a real job. I I can't uh my wife has to go to work." That's what they hear. >> Mhm. >> I wonder if it's because we're not actually a lot of these guys aren't seeing combat. So maybe like the fatality and the reality of war isn't there. So they're just like doing years and years behind a desk and they're like, "Man, I'm not." It doesn't even

15 matter. >> Well, there are hell of people online like Bart's talking about where they're just they're not really talking about being proud of being in the military. They're talking about the goodies that they get from it. >> The goodies. >> Yeah. >> And they don't want to they don't want to do the work for the goodies, >> right? And that's kind of what I think is what's being like maybe fixed with all this stuff. So people join it for the benefits, not because they actually coast. >> I see. >> Like my unit when I joined, they just got back from Iraq and they already maxed out how many rotations they can do in one cycle. So everyone at my unit that joined, we know none of us are getting deployed. But none of us go, well, if we're not going to get deployed, ████ the physical fitness standards. All of us still kept up with the physical fitness standards, even though I know I'm going to ride out the rest of my contract never going overseas. So, like I don't think Yeah, I don't think that's like a good excuse. I just think we need to up the standards.

05 >> Are you Are you Are are you guys a little jealous now that like they don't have to do as much work and then you guys can get so much better benefits if you join now? >> It's been juicy. I heard what you going to get a sick bonus. >> It's pretty juicy. >> You getting a bonus? You going to blow your bonus right away? >> No, but there is a bonus if I sign another contract which would end up being six, which that's, you know, you kind of have to do it that way. But just remember the reserves. It's not like they're active duty, so they're not every day they're not finding them stuff to do. You know what I mean? They after whatever they got to do once a month, they go home and chill and do their own thing. >> I've seen active duty fools look like that, too, though. >> Lately, yes. I I've seen active duties look like that, too. But it's not like some of them are because they're they're not doing the PT. They're the ones drilling or giving instructions or in the back. You know what I mean? >> Wasn't Tulsi Army Reserve?

55 >> Yeah, she's Army Reserve right now. >> Yeah, she she kept it tight. is pretty ████ fit and she still shoots hella good. >> But she's our age though >> and she's still fit. >> She She has every excuse and she's torn the nation and ████ She has every excuse. >> Her mentality is probably a little like more like us, right? >> It' be bad PR though if she like got thick though. >> That's true. Or she could be like the body positivity movement and she's in the military. You can do both. >> We got tons of fat ass politicians too though. No, but like her a part of her brand is like representing the fact that she has served and does serve and >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. True. Very true. >> She still goes back and does the reserve stuff. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Like even as right now as as um DNI. >> Yeah. That there's no uh what is it called? Like exceptions when it's her reserve uh drill time, she still goes to drill. >> Are you not embarrassed that you joined

45 the National Guard? >> I'm not at all, man. >> Are you sure? >> Well, here's the thing, man. Well, here's the thing. People like Steve. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> They never thought about joining, so all they can do is just talk bad. You know what I mean? >> Honestly, it's it's all from my grandpa, dude. My grandpa thought you guys were ████ dude. That's it. He thought everybody who wasn't a Marine was a ████ He >> No, absolutely. >> He hates the Navy. >> He hates the Air Force. >> I get this to the day, dude. My my my close buddy is a Marine and every day he'd be smoking me. But the funny thing is like those things don't even bother me, you know? If if I could, I would have done active obviously, right? But but the only situation I can do right now is and my wife letting me is the National Guard, which is reserve, and which [snorts] is fine, but for me, I'm just glad I can serve the country in at least somehow in some way. And then once

37 again, >> because because and and then think about it, trying to even join the National Guard, how many people kept talking ████ to me, ████ to me, especially the Marine guys. But that never bothered me once. >> They all secretly want to be army though. >> Hey, probably cuz you know at the end of the day, Army gives you way more better stuff. Way more better. >> Dude, the internal the internal like how much the all the different branches hate each other just cracks me up. It's cracked me up for a long time. >> But at the end of the day, they'll say it. It's all love. >> Yeah, of course. >> It's all love. >> I almost joined al-Qaeda pre 911, though. >> Damn. >> That's that's a whole other video, guys. >> Yeah, we could do we could do a video about >> for the benefits. [laughter] One of the al-Qaeda home loans. >> Dude, you get you get [laughter] your a theme park now. >> Al-Qaeda theme park.
