05 Welcome back to another episode of Careful Boys. We're going to talk about this one story. I think we covered it when this first happened, but it was like a while back. This cop um was was uh checking this guy for drugs and he ended up stealing the drugs. >> Whoa. >> And then he um this cop It's all on video, too. I think the I didn't see this at the time. I didn't. This body cam stuff wasn't released. So, he takes from the guy what he thinks is meth. He like confiscates it or something. And then uh there's a whole video thing of the cop going to the restroom at the station and he consumes the drum. >> NO WAY. ALL ON his >> body cam. >> Well, it's all now it's all put together from all the different cameras. Uh yeah, it's just like to have all the proof of

55 it happening, but we didn't I don't think we saw this at the time. So that's him. >> He So he's got the drugs with him. >> Oh ████ He passed the ████ out, huh? >> So he goes into the um into the restroom with it. >> Damn. When you got your leg bent backwards like that, you're ████ out. You're high right now, brother. >> AND YOU GOT PASSED OUT. [gasps] >> HOW WAS IT? It wasn't meth. It had fentanyl like all >> No. Oh, >> he didn't die. >> I think they revived him, right? >> With Narcan like on the spot and the video shows every I had no clue that this video was around. >> Holy ████ >> Yo, run faster, brother. Come on. >> Yeah, dude. It's ████ nuts, >> dude. Oh, you have to go back and get it, huh? Get the Narcan. You might even know. >> God damn. >> That was like his partner or something. >> That's at the >> Is that the station, too? [snorts] >> The station. [gasps]

48 >> Damn. How did he know that's what it was? wasn't. It wasn't like he had to take a massive dump and then like he just >> maybe he was gone for a while. >> Damn, [laughter] >> bro. His head hit the ████ >> That fool's like in a Michael Jackson back. >> Wait, what's censored out? >> Oh, >> wow. That is a difficult position to be in. >> Oh, he need another one. Oh my god, this is stressful. >> Wow. >> Holy. >> Think my radio's dead. Damn. Both legs back. >> Yeah, dude. That's a weird way to be. >> Oh my god. His knees are probably

38 busted. >> Destroyed. >> Damn. Oh my. >> He definitely hit his head against the wall, too, for >> sure. >> How would he lean back like this? Whoa. >> At the station is crazy, right? How embarrassing >> amongst your cop buddies. >> Thank god they were there, bro. He would have been dead. >> Leave that door open so it airs out cuz I don't know what else is in there. >> You got to do happy. for you saying happy birthday twice while you're washing your hands. >> I didn't know he could wash away fentanyl like that. >> That's crazy.

31 >> Wow. >> You think the guys like call somebody and they call police? >> Guy's going to jail for sure. >> You think he was like call somebody and one of them calls and then the the phone just rings in the office. So then then they're like, "Oh s███." And they run over the >> You try now. You try. >> Where's the cops? [laughter] We're 911. >> They're like, "Somebody call somebody." It's like a comedy sitcom. Yeah. So he ends up surviving >> and then the crazy thing is so he gets obviously gets let go from the force, >> not jail. >> Um I don't know if he went to jail. >> Isn't that like ████ stealing evidence or whatever the hell and doing drugs? >> Wait till you see what happens next. So [clears throat] that was like a couple years back, right? >> Stressful is to watch that. >> Yeah, that was a couple years ago. Uh now, let me just cover the thing now. Um

22 >> now he's friends with Anthony. >> Now he's [laughter] now he's Anony's mentor since Larry Nasser's gone. [laughter] Anthony needs a new mentor. So um an even crazier thing happened to the same cop. >> What? >> No way. Not again. >> Actually, not even happened too, but like listen to this. So basically what happened is um he he no he's no longer on the force or anything. They get a report like this same department which El Grove um they get this >> Oh Sacramento. >> Yeah. SAG. So they get this uh uh they get a call that um this same guy uh stabbed to death his 11-year-old son. >> What? >> In front of his like I think like six-year-old daughter and [snorts] that he's like on the run. [gasps] Killed his own kid. What the ████ >> That guy must be cracked out of his

12 ████ mouth. I saw his son as a demon or something. >> So the the county sheriff, he's like, "Oh man." Like I He's He goes out there on his own to try to look for him >> cuz he's probably personal friends, right? >> They're friends. He's like, "Yeah, he knows me. So I'm going to He's like um he's like, "I'm going to go out and look for him, but if I see him, I can't let him see me because he ████ knows me. Who knows what will happen?" So the the sheriff leaves his house to just like go check >> the on-ramp that he takes to go to the freeway. He's right next to him going up by sheer luck. Yeah. By total chance. So then he calls in. He's like, "I ████ found them." >> Yeah. So what happens is he calls in the cops and he like trails him and then the cops stop him on the freeway. homeboy gets out of his car uh and is in a full-on shootout with his own department and he gets shot to death.

03 >> Oh my god. >> By his own like people basically. >> That's so sad. >> Going to shoot your friend, >> dude. Isn't that crazy? Maybe they should have let the fentum take him down. >> Oh no, >> dude. What are the odds of that, man? Dude, stabbing your 11-year-old son is >> Yeah, I I got to look now what the exact ages were, but >> that that saved him uh regretted saving him. >> No, you never regret saving >> I think I would regret saving if he killed his >> Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. [laughter] >> That's for sure. >> So, now his daughter's traumatized. >> Yeah. Fatally stabbed his 11-year-old son at the Elkrove home. >> See, sometimes I don't believe in saving lives. That's just me, though. >> Yeah. Cooper, who had fired Marvin Morales in 2023 after he lied about a fentanyl overdose on duty, was alerted by the Elgrove police chief when they

54 realized the suspect was a former deputy. >> And Cooper said, "I figured, let me look for this guy." And he freaking finds him. Isn't that crazy? >> I wonder if there were warning signs. Like they're all like, "Oh man, this guy. Oh, this guy again." And then they're like, "Ah, >> we knew it." >> So it says his car hit spike strips and crashed and then there was a subsequent deadly shooting. So, you think he was always a methhead and then he became a cop and then he started to play with it again or he was a cop and then he started playing with it cuz what cop >> out of nowhere decides to become a meth head? >> Yeah. I don't know. >> He probably ████ around with meth early on and then he got clean. >> Is that Is that the more likely thing? >> I think so. And then he got Come on, man. Imagine you used to be obese and then you got fit and you're like, you know, I'mma fight crime. You become a cop, right? But now [snorts]

46 you go into a doughnut shop and then you're just surrounded by donuts and no one's there and you, dude, you love bear claws. So, you decide to just eat one cuz who's it going to hurt? And then you go to another restaurant and you're just eating non-stop food. >> Well, here's your context. He says, it says in this article, Morales told investigators he ingested the drug because he wanted to die by suicide and struggled with his mental health. He was trying to overdose. >> So, he was trying to overdose in the police station. >> He was trying to die. >> It wasn't that he was a druggie. He was just trying to die. That's crazy. >> You know, cops see a lot of crazy stuff. >> Yeah, that's heavy. But >> yeah, >> what the heck could make you stab your own 11-year-old son? >> Yeah, that's different. I don't know about that one. >> Probably. >> You think he was on to drugs? >> De drugs. Deaf drugs. Uh, it says Morales said his mental health had been

36 deteriorating from trauma he suffered while on the job and serving in the Middle East. According to the report, he would cry before coming to work and isolated himself from family. Dude. >> Oh, it says the internal affairs investigators cast doubt on the truth, saying it in the report that a drug test of his hair showed chronic use >> consistent with a person who uses drugs throughout the >> So, the suicide was just the suicide was just a cover up. >> Yeah. >> Cover up a big problem. >> Ah, okay. I see. Yeah, >> for sure. I think it does make sense. He's chronic >> addict. Damn. >> Cuz I mean they do drug tests. If you're a user, they won't let you become an officer. But I think he cleaned up just enough. >> I'mma change my life. And then he became a cop and he goes, I'm surrounded by the

27 things I love. [laughter] >> Damn. >> See, too. >> Jesus. >> ████ man. Poor guy. >> That's a lot of trauma, bro. >> Poor kid. >> But the real question is, did he did he party and did he do meth before he went overseas? >> Yeah, like in high school or something. Yeah, cuz we have a hell of friends that were ravers and then they love that ████ and then they join the military or they become cops after and then I'm like I could see any one of them going like there's a unlimited bag of ecstasy right here. >> Right, man. I hope this guy's not Filipino >> Morales. >> Yeah, he he could be. Look at that. >> Oh, ████ He >> is. He looks like it. >> He looks >> He could be Mexican. >> Yeah, it looks >> He's got that Filipino fob mouth smile. Uh, >> the one that's like >> he looks Filipino. >> He looks like this one. >> And his and his name is Marvin.

17 >> Marvin is a dead giveaway. >> I like Bentanel. >> Marvin. >> Bentan. [laughter] [gasps] >> Oh, he has no moralis. >> Oh my gosh. >> ████ man. >> Damn it. Yeah. And he's from Sack. >> He's following the bad morals. >> I feel so bad for the kid, too. The whole family, bro, dude. >> Man. How do you even like what do you do in that situation when it's your dad that's the biggest like threat >> for a hit of energy? >> Yeah, that's why that's it was >> that's one of the reasons >> that's why he was taking it. That's what they think the real reason was he took it and not like >> cuz he was sleepy. >> I don't know. Well, it says Morales told investigators he confiscated the pipe uh smoked while on duty and smoked methamphetamine coating the pipe three or four times in the months leading up

07 to the October 23 2023 fennel overdose. It was for a hit of energy while he procrastinated completing reports into his investigations >> because once it's a drug addict story, you don't know how credible the story is. >> Just his behaviors. What does he do? >> He could try to get out. He could try to like justify. >> It's there's not much credibility at that point. >> Filipinos really like meth, huh? They used to call it Shaboo. >> Oh, Shaboo. Yeah, that's basically the Philippines. They still call it that. >> Yeah. Shaboo. It's the It's the Filipino meth. >> What the heck? >> Cops do have crazy schedules though. Yeah, >> cuz you could work like a 12 16 hour shift and like let's say something happened in the next or the last hour or two of your shift. >> Like let's say you arrive at a crime scene, you could stay on shift for another 12 to 18 hours. >> I know some guys who are like pretty nuts. >> They work crazy hours and they're welders and those dudes they they're

57 always dabbling in some like some uppers. >> Roofers be uppers all the time. Damn, he's >> just to stay sure cuz it says the 11-year-old identified by the Sack County Corner's office as Maris Untalan Morales. >> Damn, man. That's a shame, man. ████ stupid ass Filipino guy. >> Damn, bro. Should have just let him OD. >> Poor kid. Sometimes people don't deserve second chances.
