00 Yeah, there's like inclusive karate, you know. >> Inclusive. [laughter] >> Inclusive karate. Yeah. >> It's like everyone can do this. It's like jiu-jitsu. Jiu-Jitsu. There's that in jiu-jitsu, too. I mean, there's jiu-jitsu online nowadays or like you get blue bell by mail. Yeah. Bar. >> Why am I going to that school? >> Online jiu-jitsu. It's like ITT Tech. What the hell? >> Download your belt today. Welcome back everybody to another amazing episode of the Careful Boys and we are very honored today because we have a special >> guest, Mr. Hinato Kuto over here. >> We're very happy you're here, Ryan. >> Thanks for having me. Appreciate it, man. >> We have Hinato. If you guys don't know Hinato, you're about to find out because all we know is this guy can whoop all of our asses in like 12 seconds. >> Not me, brother. >> Yeah, [laughter] definitely not that guy. It's too big
51 for me. Maybe you'll give me an eight. [laughter] >> Give me an eight. >> I want to just cut to the freaking >> Yeah, do [laughter] like >> choked out. Just >> pretty sure we could do that right now. Actually, we editor, can we uh we're going to pause >> all this room in the middle? >> Wait, didn't you do a video? You said you did a a video with the MMA fight or >> do Fabria Woom's gym, dude. >> Fabria. >> That's the guy. >> Yeah. >> Is it Verdoom? That's cool. >> He was cool, dude. But um he let me film at his gym and I I with I was with one of his like teachers and the guy kicked me in the ████ ribs so hard. [laughter] >> Oh, that sounds >> He was great though. Like cuz I was talking so much ████ to him and >> he knew that that like like my producer told him like he's going to come in talking a lot of ████ and he's like, "No, that'll be fun. It's all good." And then eventually like I talked so much ████ that he just ████ kicked me in
41 the ribs. [laughter] >> He was great though. That guy was awesome. >> Did you get to grapple with him? >> I did everything. Yeah. He like he like put me in every ████ hold you could think of. Like every single probably move in the book. Like every I went through all of it. So >> stupid. [snorts] >> Speaking of kicks in the ribs, dude, your last fight you like soccer kicked this dude in his gut so freaking hard in the first round. >> Yeah, that was a little bit messed up. I know. I'm sorry. >> Do you have the clip? Can you play it? >> Do you really feel that? That that was a little bit messed up. >> A little bit. A little bit. A little bit messed up. After after it was done, I was like hella hyped. Then I started like like slowing down. I was like, "F███, all my students are here. I just kick this one dude on the ground and the parents gonna pull the kids out of the program." >> Oh yeah. >> So he has a he has at the school he has a like stoic calm demeanor, right? Cuz
33 he's like the head the head coach at the school. >> But then when But then Yes. But then when he whooped that guy's ass, you just see him go like this this guy comes out. And then I think at that split second he's like, "Wait, but my students are here. They don't they'll see me wild out like this. >> That's pretty good. But I thought it was cool though. >> Yeah. I mean, it's super new for me. MMA. It's still my second pro fight. I mean, second fight in general. So, like, >> you know, like I I I'm still going there and just like like most guys, you know, that talk about fighting on the street. I was just in red. [laughter] >> So, so until I finally shut off from the adrenaline of like trying to beat the ████ out of this guy and stop the fight, I was like too hyped, right? So, then after like a little bit, oh ████ did I act stupid? Dude, sometimes I get that way when I'm when I'm on a run in Halo. [laughter] >> That's awesome. That's awesome. He was kind of that failure. I do play a lot of
23 video games, too. I was like, "F███, he was down. I just needed to finish him." That's what I did. [laughter] >> Nice. >> That's That's this one, right? >> Oh, >> see, he starts whing out and then I think afterwards he's like, "Oh, wait, wait. That's those aren't the morals I'm trying to teach at the school." >> [laughter] >> The funny thing is that this is also a soccer kick to the side. So, it looks like he did it twice. >> I did it again. Yeah, this time was more on purpose than the last time. >> Throw him down. Punch him. Just get him in the butt right there. Oh, knee to the side. >> Oh, first round ████ dude. >> I'm surprised >> it took it took the ref that long to call it off. >> I know >> cuz you had to keep going. >> I think was the ref's fault. I'm I'm with you on that. The first kick was kind of like my angle was kind of off.
13 So, it's kind of like I pushed him. I was like, "Oh, that was kind of a ████ kick. Take another one." But then the second one was better. >> What's the ref waiting for [laughter] >> blood to come out of his ear? You think the ref is just a fight fan? HE'S LIKE, "YEAH, ████ YEAH. [laughter] >> YEAH, YEAH, GET HIM." >> He forgot he was reving. >> Yeah. You never know. These guys get yelled so much over like uh early stoppage. Yeah. He's like, "Oh, ████ I ain't stopping early today." Guys, >> was that your your second MMA fight? >> Second MMA fight. It finished very similar. The >> Yeah. Yeah. You You also kicked the other guy, right? >> Ground and pound. He hit his head. Once I couldn't hit the head anymore, started hitting him on the body however I could. Knee punch kick. Oh >> yeah. >> That's your your second official MMA fight. >> Is that your signature move? The soccer kicks >> now. I guess it is. You know what is crazy? If you go to Shure Dog, which is like where they have like your MMA card like in your record, it says soccer kick to the ribs, which is pretty lit.
03 >> Oh, they actually call it soccer. >> He says soccer kick. >> They call it FLLA kicks. >> Yeah. [laughter] Straight. >> There's a Yahoo Sports article talking about BJJ Whiz Hanato Konuto scores another soccer kick knockout. Hopes to land UFC deal in 2026. Is that what you're going for? >> It does say soccer kick knockout. I thought you were making it up. >> Congrats, dude. That's cool. >> Okay, before we get there, because that's crazy. And you saw him here first, ladies and gents. >> Uh can we get your origin story, man? like the just from the beginning like how how you got to this spot. The soccer king master >> before he goes there. Can you pull up there's a picture of him on the podium wearing glasses. Pull that up and that's the origin story probably the the page you were just on >> on Yahoo Sports. >> No, no, the page you're just [laughter] >> Before you pull that up, there's a funny video of of turtles humping each other and they're making a noise. You think
54 >> that's the original story? >> You should play that. It's hell. >> That's where it started. >> Hell on his on his Instagram there's a you see him on the podium wearing glasses. He was born by Ninja Turtles >> on >> the podium wearing glass. >> Start your story and then let me find it. >> Was or like how did you get into combat sports? Any of that stuff? >> Um I started because well ever since I was born my dad was already training jiu-jitsu. He did kickboxing prior to that and uh I had an uncle that was like a Muay Thai champion like 10 times Brazilian national champion type of thing. So like growing up and the more I I got into martial arts and the more they saw that I liked it. The the talk was okay by the time I'm 15. So I think their idea was like okay when he's 15 he understands better what is what he's not going to be hitting kids in in school. We started him on Muay Thai for now he just does jiu-jitsu and then we go to MMA. Well my uncle passed away when I
44 was about 12 or so. So then I feel like that kind of delayed my my idea of going towards MMA. And then the more jiu-jitsu grew in my life, the more I just kept pushing on uh with it and trying to like, you know, have bigger goals like I want to win worlds. And that became a long thing. I didn't win my first world title until I was a brown belt at 19. And then after that, I was just chasing the the black belt worlds in the ghee, which I got to win in 2021. That was when I was finally already kind of getting over jiu-jitsu anyway. And I was like, you know what, this is my last try. I'm going to go there and try one more time. And then after that, uh, I want to fight him in May. So thankfully, >> how many titles do you have? >> I have now I have four. So I have uh I won Ghee Worlds as a brown belt and no ghee as a brown belt in the same year and then I won my first year as a black belt won no words as a black belt and then it took me four tries to win the no
35 four years to win the the black belt uh the black belt worlds. Yeah. >> So if another jiu-jitsu school opens up and they have five worlds titles, I should join that one. No, cuz Raquel has like six. So, we have like 10. >> That's his wife. What the hell? >> If they have more than 10 alone, then Yeah. Okay. >> And we have Autumn. [laughter] >> When you going to get a WWE gold one? >> Hey, that that would be my goal for real. Like after retirement. Oh, I just want to do good enough in MMA where like I either can hop on a crazy movie >> Roadhouse 4. >> You want to do the Rousey? You want to do >> I want to try flying on board John Week himself >> or like go towards WWE or something like that? >> So you would be down to go to WWE after you retire from UFC. [laughter] >> I probably would be down, but I would have to try it out first and see how painful actually is cuz they
25 >> it's more painful than UFC. >> Yeah. I'm like I'm looking at it sometimes. I'm like >> it's not even real fighting. But then you're watching these guys jumping at each other. Oh, I'm sure there's a lot of accidents that happen and they just try doing the crazy ████ Break a ri for no reason. I mean, if you're making a lot of money, consider that. >> We had some wrestlers on this show and it looked fake as hell to me. [laughter] >> I was like right close to them and it looked fake. >> Yeah, exactly. Yeah. The last the last one I went to the Wrestlemania here, I took my nephew to it and dude, they literally the guy the the the last fight the very end they were waiting for it, right? It's like three guys fighting each other and basically the manager jumps in [laughter] and he hits the first guy knocks this guy out then the second uh then the second guy no sorry basically the manager hit two of the guys on the nuts so he finished more people [laughter]
16 >> and that's how this guy won is cuz his manager went and hit them in the nuts from behind. So I was like okay that's crazy. >> I like the drama. I do like the drama. >> If in UFC you guys could take the ref out, that'd be sick. >> Yeah. [laughter] Like in that moment when he's beating him up and the ref is trying to stop you and you beat up the ref and the ref sells it too. >> That's so unpredictable. >> I've seen some Well, you've seen guys pass out and then like they wake up and they don't know where they at. They like jump the ref, take them down by the time they realize, "Hey, chill, dude." I seen a ref put the guy to sleep twice cuz the guy fell asleep. He gets knocked out. I'll see if I can find that video after. But yeah, the guy gets knocked out. The ref goes to stop and the guy tries to double leg the the ref and the ref puts him on a guillotine and then holds it and then puts the guy to sleep and then he walks away like >> ████ [laughter] you. That's crazy. >> Yeah, it's crazy. >> So, are most of the refs also like
06 practitioners and and and they they all they're into MMA or they do jiu-jitsu? >> I want to say most of them. Not all the judges though. I feel like some of the judges cuz I knew a judge that did like Kempo and stuff. So, like I wouldn't consider that like full on like fighting. I'm not saying it's not. >> But you are, >> but I'm not saying it is. >> Did you say anything bad about karate chosen, man? >> No. No. Hold on. [laughter] Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. There's like there's like karate and there's like karate. You know what I'm saying? >> If you actually if you actually throw hands in karate, then hell yeah. Let's go. >> What's the difference between karate and karate? like Kyochin's karate >> and then there's um there's like 80s karate and then there's like 2025 karate >> and it's like Yeah. >> Oh, 2025 karate is whack. >> Like '8s karate it was like I think people were ████ each other up.
56 >> Yeah. >> Yeah. There's like inclusive karate, you know. >> Inclusive >> inclusive [laughter] karate. Yeah. >> It's like everyone can do this. It's like jiu-jitsu jiu-jitsu. There's that in jiu-jitsu too. What do you mean? That's jiu-jitsu online nowadays. Or like you get blue belt by mail. Yeah. Bart. >> Why am I going to that school? >> Online jiu-jitsu. It's like ITT Tech. What the hell? Download your belt today. >> Really? >> I'm I'm positive. I'm I might be just making stuff up. But I've heard that they even sent you like Yeah, you can get up to blue belt online and then after that you have to attend some classes or whatever >> like University of Phoenix. >> It's University of Jiu-Jitsu actually, I think it's called. So yeah. >> Wow. Yeah, like that. [laughter] >> I'm going to come back with a blue belt. >> Oh my god, dude. >> Let's go, Bart. >> But you got to do it online though. Just mean I'm a fight online. >> You won online. [laughter]
47 >> There's a lot going on like right now in jiu-jitsu, right? Like they're trying to change the idea of like how you start cuz like we still very old school. A lot of the gyms are like 90% of the gyms you're going to go there, going to get thrown to the walls, people going to beat you up, you survive, you're the man, you make it up, right? So they're trying to change the idea and like basically like you don't roll for the first three to four months >> and you just go there and just do technique and repeat and stuff. >> That's so nice. That's boring. >> I feel like Okay, so there you go. That that's where I want to get to cuz I'm like okay I feel like that should be the way but then I don't know if the person would wait that long. Like would you go three four months to class and be like watch everybody having fun like I'm just a ████ and just sit down on the side and watch [laughter] >> like no not in a bad way. I might actually do that at the gym at some point if it works out, you know, but like I don't want people to feel like not included. So like I put somewhat like alive like you don't go full on but then in the beginning you do like only
39 passing, you know, like let's go. You got to get around his guard like so I'll give like you little goals so you get somewhat some action, you know, so it doesn't feel like you're doing inclusive karate. >> Inclusive karate. >> How soon into a fight with somebody can you tell like, "Oh ████ he's better than me. What? I got to do something about this. um >> like MMA fight like on this one the guy the guy told me like on the I actually got him on meta he should have there too but I have my meta my meta glasses and then I get to the weigh-ins and I'm just happy because this guy he was already on the card the guy was supposed to fight by the time the commission finally said yes and he been knowing we're going to fight for like two months now commission finally says yes he's like oh no I'm good bro I I don't want that fight and then now I'm like ████ I'm not going to have a fight anyway they found a way to flip our fights. So then this guy that I
29 was supposed to fight went to another fight in the card and then this other guy came to fight me. So I'm just happy that this guy took the fight, right? I'm like, "Okay, I still have a fight. I actually like this guy at this point." And then I I have nothing against the guy until the Wayne's day. He finally comes up to my face and he's just probably tired of watching them announcing jiu-jitsu guy, world champion coming in to his second MMA fight, whatever is he, right? He comes up and he's like, "What's up, superstar? Ready to get punched in the mouth?" And then I'm like, "Oh ████ Thank you. You know, like I actually wasn't expecting at all, so I was like, "Oh yeah, ████ yeah, dude. Thank you. I appreciate I'm gonna remember that tomorrow." But he punched me in the mouth twice. [laughter] That's when I knew. That's when I knew I was like, "F███ this guy. I'm taking him down and I'm choke his ass." [laughter] But then but then of course, like the second I I go to to to track him to get him down, I freaking crack him. And I
19 don't realize I cracked him because I'm just trying to set up the takedown. I hit go for the shot and realize his body falls limbs on top limb on top of me and I'm like ah ████ I hit him like as a I mean as a jiu-jitsu guy all you want is to freaking get a full on KO where the guy go fully out who's a jiu-jitsu guy now you know but then anyway I kind of burned that by taking the shot so I just finished the taked down and then became all that that you saw he actually started getting back >> so he was already out and then you just did like three more finishers on him >> that's why I kept hitting him cuz I was just trying to get him to fully go out but he kind of was like you know he didn't fully get knocked out, but he got knocked down. Yeah. So then he kept trying to like fight his way back. So I suplexed him when he tried to get up. I just kept hit. >> Is part of that cuz he talks ████ to you? >> A lot of it was cuz he talked ████ to me. >> A lot of it. The reason why I ended up kicking him like that and the reason why I act crazy after was definitely cuz he
10 talked ████ to me. >> I was like, "What's up, b████?" Cuz you said you're gonna punch me. That's why I'm like >> in the MMA world, they like they know of him as like a superstar in another combative art. >> So when they come in, if they underestimate him, they're like, "Oh, we got a ████ jiu-jitsu guy." You never been punched in the mouth, have you? So I think he was trying to like peacock like that. >> Different here. Yeah. >> But but he did get punched in the mouth, though. I saw his head ████ back like three times. >> Yeah. >> They didn't know you were a master of soccer. [clears throat] >> Yeah. >> Yeah. That's the thing that you're going to hear from like every Brazil, every other Brazilian, they're going to tell you is, "Oh, he does jiu-jitsu. Oh, he probably sucks at soccer then." Because that's the first thing you're going to try as a kid in Brazil. You, if you're good at soccer, that's probably what you're going to do. >> Oh, you would never do jiu-jitsu if you're good. >> You never do jitsu. Like, I mean, you have to try soccer cuz that's the way. >> So, that's an actual amateur soccer kid. [laughter] >> Exactly. Amateur soccer kid.
02 >> Yeah. Here.
