00 What is the one of the most expensive things you were ever suckered into buying or like you were the sucker in the situation? I know like it could be something like a time share. It could be like a um even like a whole car or even something small just depending on what the timing was. >> Like a Kony 2012 shirt package. >> [laughter] >> Now that was money well spent though. That was money well spent. >> Yeah, I'm glad you bought that cuz it was for a good cause. >> Because of your purchase they were able to catch him. So thank you Anthony Lee. >> Um for one thing that I will never forget is uh Do you remember like in the early 2000s when Melrose was more like rock based? >> I remember Melrose. >> Yeah, like Melrose Avenue was more like like down in Hollywood was more like uh all the stores had like rocker looking clothes and uh That's more of like what what I wanted

50 to look like back then and around like 2005 um I was going shopping because this was around the time that I had gotten onto So You Think You Can Dance and we were going to take cast photos like the next week. So everybody was like really really focused in on how they were going to look for this cast photo. And of course like I have no idea what's proper what's cool. All I know is that I have a week to get it and they had given us like I think like a uh a stipend or like a a per diem of like 500 bucks or something like that. Barely anything. So I go into this store on Melrose and of course there's like an attractive saleswoman who's like there to coax you into buying the dumbest things and I'm as sucker I think I'm at my my maximum suckerness at this age when I was like 22. And I go in there and uh the first

40 thing is she says is like "Oh, you should try these pants on. Like you would look really great in these pants." And I look at them and they're like they're these black pants that are very like they almost look sort of flared and the on the sides it's like rope stitching that goes like in in X's. It looks really gay. And I'm just like I can't pull those off, ma'am. And she's like, "Just try them on. You're going to look so good." And I'm like, "Okay, I guess I'll try them." And then so I went >> [laughter] >> You have to like untie all the ropes on the side. >> Oh, ████ >> to like a big ass thing. >> Yeah. >> You know what I mean? So when you put them on, you got to like stick your legs in, wrap your legs up like a mummy, and then go through the whole thing like the way women put on those heels with the straps that go all the way up to their >> It's like a medieval lace. >> Yeah, exactly. So I had You had to do

30 all that. And I'm like, "This looks so silly." Like I'm looking in the mirror like so like this is the gayest I've ever looked. And then I come outside and she's like >> It's the gayest >> She's like, "Oh my god, that's so hot." And um and I'm falling for it like 100%. And she's like >> She's good, dude. >> know who you look like?" And I was like, "Who?" She goes, "You look like Ricky Martin." And I was like I was like, "Cool." >> [laughter] >> Cuz So you guys agreed with each other. This is the gayest you ever looked. >> Yeah, he's pretty hot, though. >> Well, this is before we knew he was gay. >> Yeah, I mean he is hot, though. Yeah, he is a hot dude. >> She just kept saying that I looked like Ricky Martin. And she's like, "You look like Ricky Martin. You got to wear those. You got to go outside. They're going to say, 'Ricky?'" And I was And I just kept like falling for every single thing. Cuz I was also shy at 22. Um and uh and these pants were like

22 well over half of the money that I was given. They were like 300 bucks. >> Oh, jeez. Oh, man. >> Yeah. So um here's my cast photo of me wearing them. >> You got them? >> Because I'm so gay, you can't even tell they look like anything at all. It's just these black >> I remember this photo. You look hot. >> They could have been any black >> Dude, you look like Ricky Martin a little bit. You kind She's kind of right. >> Worn ████ [laughter] Nike warm-ups. Like it looks like nothing. >> Yeah, they look like bell bottoms. >> That was like 300 bucks, dude. >> Oh my god. >> And just because they have these like You see these like cross these X's? Those are all the like things you got to put through them. And I And I walked in like to the shoot thinking like, "Oh, people are going to go who's these pants?" >> [laughter] >> Like no one mentioned anything about them. And I just looked like a gay. And that's it. And at the time, $500 was probably all

14 the money I had and I spent 300 of it on these stupid pants. So, if you guys have anything it would help me out and make me feel a little bit better. >> Nope, got nothing. Nothing like that has ever happened to me. >> Not not so much sucker, but I'll tell you what that just made me think of recently. I got some collaboration Adidas Ronnie Fieg Adidas superstars. They're like leatherish ish, right? >> That sounds so expensive already. >> Yeah, I had to like win an auction to pay full ████ price for them. Anyways, I get them and they're just superstars, but they just look a little bit extra fresh and I know they're limited and I'm dumb, so I'm like, "But there's no cool enough events to wear these." I sit on them for like a year plus. And then I get requested very recently to be a guest judge on this Korean TV show Street Director Fighter, right?

05 >> [snorts] >> I'm all, "F███, you know, let me just wear these new shoes cuz at least I'll feel fresh, but it's chill. Like if you It's like if you know, you know." If you look at it, you don't know anything. What is it do the superstars? Cool. It's like guys not guys not too >> It's a deep cut then. >> Yeah, he's not trying too hard. If you like care enough and you look and you're like, "Number one, is he wearing his AP watch?" Yes, I was. Number two though, you're like, "Are those shiny? Is it a different thing?" For me, it's just like that's fun, right? So, I go there. I'm feeling pretty fresh with my chill outfit, but I know I'm swagging on my own way. >> [snorts] >> I sit there, you know, hair makeup's done, we're miked up, we're about to start. Right when we're about to start, little production guys run up, they start throwing tape on my shoes. >> Oh my god! >> But they're not using ████ painter's tape. >> Shut up! They're using gaff tape? >> gaff tape. >> Oh my god!

56 >> But I don't know you know what we're just in the moment my oh ████ dude whatever they did they tape on it. I filmed the whole thing. At the end the they're trying to take these off and they just are ████ ripping the actual like texture of the shine off of these like $290 limited edition shoes. >> Oh my god! >> But it's also such a stupid material experience where like what am I going to do? Go to the production and you guys ruined my >> You shouldn't have made a scene, dude. >> I am Anthony >> But you also waited in an auction for them. >> my shoes >> But it's >> And those could go up in value. >> And the first time you wore them? >> Yes. >> Oh hell no. >> Anthony Anthony Lee >> But you just feel so stupid and embarrassed and it's also like you're not trying to

46 be like to the production like hey by the way privileged American here can I complain about the guy who messed up my shoe? >> Doesn't that kind of contrast with like you know when someone sees you with nice things you could afford them and you're rich big deal. But then if you start going >> [snorts] >> I need reparations for these it makes you look poor again. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. >> Even that AP watch was a gift. I'm ████ fronting man. I'm a fake. >> [laughter] >> I'm a ████ fake. I can't afford this. This is my one shot. But >> But damn man. >> It's like bending a Pokémon card. >> Yeah it was it was tough but like just stupid stupid stupid I'm a kid now. Stupid don't buy expensive stuff. >> Ah just buy the regular Adidas. >> Yeah I don't give a ████ two s████ about a lot of that stuff now. I get away with it by like buying nice things for like Nina and pretending like it was a part of me. >> That's nice.

36 >> That's all I do now. >> You guys have never been upsold on something? That's never happened to you where you're like buying something and they're like you know for just a few more dollars >> You know, I'm like such a ████ like scam sniffer-outer. I don't think I have. >> Really? >> Yeah, cuz I'm so >> Well, so is Geo, isn't she? >> so cynical and so like ████ you >> You're not the drug dealer, I'm the drug dealer? >> Oh. >> that I I don't think >> [laughter] >> I I don't think I don't think >> Time that you went to like Remember when you were testing your testosterone and they told you it was really low and that you should buy all these things? >> see all that happen. >> Oh. >> see the process. I'm like, "Oh, okay, I'm testing low." And then I can see him go, "Oh, let me" The doctor's like, "Hey, why don't you go meet with our consultant?" And I can see they bring in the buffest guy you've ever ████ seen. And I can see him going, "Oh, you

26 know, like I I used to feel like just like" I can see him go, "This guy's doing step number seven, relating." So I can see all of that. And then so at the end of the day when they try to like checkmate you and they're like, "So, are you Are you ready to like feel the best you've ever felt?" No, I'm not ready to feel the best I've ever felt. You know, I'm not just right away like like I'm I don't think I in that part when it is about to feel scammy, it's easy for me to like back away. >> Oh, wow. Okay. >> Yeah. >> So you can you can sense the sale. >> I can sense it and then I think a lot of times like um Maybe it's growing up with all my mom's fortune teller people. So like everything I already go, "What's the ████ angle on this?" And then it's everyone's guilty until proven innocent. So I I Maybe a memory will come up, but I know when you was upsold. >> The interior designer of the LA office.

18 >> Yeah. >> [laughter] >> That one probably was. >> Oh, the the big JK one. >> The big JK office, yeah. I mean, but that one wasn't really upsold. That one was just it was a big project and me and Joe were so I think spread thin at At time, we didn't want to be involved. So instead of like you know people usually come to interior designer >> vetted enough. >> my ideas, whatever. She was like, "What are your ideas?" I'm like, "Just Just just get out of my face." >> Just put money on the wall. >> Yeah, just put money on the walls and come back. And then they come back and then they're like looking at this and >> You see an invoice. >> Yeah, we're like, "What the hell? This s███'s ugly." They're like, "Well, you told me not You put money on the walls." >> [laughter] >> So, that's >> That s███'s ugly. >> So, we're like, "All right, now we got to try to fix it." So, we ended up hiring uh Yuri Tag, which she did it way better >> Yuri Tag is who you end up hiring?

08 >> She's the one that uh took what was really bad and then made it a little bit more >> How cool. I didn't know she did that stuff. >> Yuri came in one time and helped us do like the mural or collage on like our wall that was in our apartment for a long time. She just knew how to like structure and put stuff in a cool way. And we're like Dope. You got an eye. >> You seem very hard to sucker financially, Bree. >> I would say um my car. >> Why did you What happened to your car? >> Well, because I have a long series when you could just have a basic Tesla. >> But how did you get suckered if you like speed? >> No, it >> If you like speed. >> Oh. >> So, I It was my partner that wanted it. >> Oh. >> So, like for me, I don't really care. >> Yeah. >> like the best one. >> Uh-huh. >> Um it just has to make sense like price-wise. >> Yeah. >> So, I was down to just get like the basic model. >> You came in going, "I want the basic."

59 And then you walked out with the not-so-basic. >> It's pretty cool that you have the best one though. >> It's cool. I like it. I mean we have two. >> It served no like >> Oh, you have two of the best ones. Wow, I only have one of the not-best. >> [laughter] >> Yeah, cuz the Model 3 is a performance, which is >> Yeah. >> And then this one. >> So, it hasn't really like paid off in satisfaction in any way? >> I mean, it's cool. I have FSD, but >> What's that? >> Like it drives, yeah. It drives itself, but I just think that's It's not necessary. >> Yeah, you definitely shouldn't have gotten the best one. >> [laughter] >> With the way you're talking, most people are bragging about that and you're going, "Nah." >> It's just more expensive. >> Yeah. Did you ever get suckered into buying, I don't know, lessons for fighting? >> Like a black belt? No, I didn't get ripped off for that, dude. I paid hard cash for that, actually. >> You paid hard in years for that. I could

49 buy one right now on Amazon. >> I can think of the one that I think about in the shower where I just go, "Ah, sometimes." >> [laughter] >> Like, "You're a ████ idiot. I can't believe." It's like one of those core memories that you're like, "You'll never forget this." It was during It was during COVID and I was like, "F███, I'm going to get a PlayStation 4." >> What? >> So, I I wanted to go try to buy one. I was like, "200 bucks, perfect." Met with this dude. He was a really nice Latino gentleman and he was like, "Hey, here's the video of the PlayStation working." And I was like, and I was going into it like too like >> [laughter and snorts] >> I was like too chill about it. So, he told me like, "Make sure it works." And I was like, "Ah, it'll be fine. Like, they won't ████ It'll be cool. Like, they won't rip me off." Sure enough, get ████ ripped off so hard. >> a brick. >> I bought a ████ brick, dude. >> My god.

40 >> I should >> [laughter] >> He showed me the video. He's like, "See, it turns on." And I was like, "Cool." I was like, "Here's the money, man. Thanks. Have a good one." And now in retrospect, he was so skittish the whole time. >> Oh my >> probably like, "This guy thinks like he's like he's going to know." Like, that's the vibe he gave off. Like, he's going to ████ know that it's not real. Like, and I was like, "Why is that guy so weird?" Like, I was like, "Oh, whatever." >> PC master race. >> I'm like, "Yeah." I'm like driving home all like, "Cool, cool, cool." Plug it in. I'm like, "Hmm, it's not turning on for some reason." >> Is it making any noise? >> Oh, bro, it's ████ and then I it's it's it's a complete dud. >> [laughter] >> Complete dud. Bro, and then the best part of the story is so I still didn't learn my lesson. I was like, "All right, I'm going to go ████ I'm still going to get one." Cuz I was like mad. I was like, "I have to make >> Oh, right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> make this right, right? At that point I didn't even want it anymore, but part of me was like, I have to go get

30 one now. >> Yeah. >> So, I went and I found this little Indian kid. I went to his house. He's a He's like 16. He's all by himself, and he looks like he's like 12. He looks even younger. I go in, and I'm like, "Yeah, I'm getting a PlayStation." He didn't want to talk to me at all, but I was like, for for whatever reason, I had to get this off my chest that I got ripped off. And I go, "Yeah, man, like I tried to buy one, can you believe that? And the guy like completely ripped me off." And he goes, "You didn't check if it turns on first?" >> [laughter] >> And I was like, "Yeah, I didn't uh I didn't check." >> [laughter] >> And he's like, he looked at me, he goes, "You always have to check." And he plugs it in, turns it on, he's like, "Yeah, so it works." And I'm like, >> Oh my god, dude. >> $200. >> That's so good. >> I left. So, I got shamed by a ████ 16-year-old. >> a PS4 for 400 bucks? >> No, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, 420, 420.

20 >> Damn, dude. That's got to feel really great. >> Yeah, it was a it was a it was a great lesson I learned. >> Always check. >> He bro, he looked at me like that, like he was my dad and ████ >> [laughter] >> A little 16-year-old Indian kid? >> Yeah, and yeah. >> Damn. Who do you think got it the worst out of all of us? Is it my gay pants? Is it uh Nick's brick of a console? Um let us know who you think uh wasted the most money, got suckered the hardest. Bri, I think Bri did. Launch mode Tesla. >> I want to know what that is. >> kind of a subtle flex, I think. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wasn't much of a scam. >> That's sick. That's sick.
