00 So, to give you guys an update on where me and Smacker at for the baby being born, that is going to be November 23rd is the due date. And I love talking about this because it makes me sound like I have to do so much as the husband, but you know, obviously she's the one going through everything. She's had a really, really tough pregnancy. Like super hard. She has this thing, I don't know how to say the whole thing, but it's shortened to HG. Um and it's like a condition you have when you're pregnant and you're just maximum nauseated the whole way. Or like at to an indeterminable point. Like it could it could be all 9 months, it could be 7 months, it could be 5 months, but it's like constant nausea. So, it's been like pretty difficult in terms of like um you know, her eating,
50 her even being able to walk around and do it. She's usually just on one couch the entire day and just sitting right there or just like I bring her food or I bring her whatever she needs, but that's it. She just goes there, bathroom there, bathroom there. >> Jill told me she saw a story and she was like, "Hey guys, it's actually getting better. Now I only want to throw up five times a day." >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> I'm like, "Holy ████ What was it when it was bad? That's crazy." [laughter] >> Plus it's like she's already pretty mentally sensitive to a lot of stuff as it is. So, it's like her triggers are really, really easy to set off. So, like if I go and eat a burger and I come back and and I just like you could smell it on me. >> of onions. >> You know what I mean? Or if I mention like lasagna, she'll go >> Lasagna doesn't make her it's gross?
40 >> Just the mention of it. So, like you we have to like >> or she just already doesn't like lasagna? >> It's already She's already really mental about foods in general and nausea in general. So, combined with HG and actually throwing up from it, it's like one of those things where I had to learn how to like not talk about food ever. I had to learn when when to just not walk in the room sometimes. If I if I have to eat, I have to I can't cook at home. I can't even cook on the grill. I got to like go out to eat by myself and then like do stuff for a couple hours. What does she eat then? Don't smell like the food. >> What does she eat then? >> What In the In the beginning it was like hardly very very hard for her to get foods of substance because it was so like um >> Bland. >> Yeah, it was like just the real bland stuff. Now she can eat normal foods. It just depends on what time and how it's
30 feeling. Uh but like >> a smoothie? Just so you pack it with like a bunch of fruits and nutrients or whatever. Can she drink a smoothie like that? >> Sometimes she can have a little bit. It's like a weird thing where she she can't eat or even think about food and then randomly during the day she'll be like Holy crap. Oh, I I feel like I can eat right now. So there has to be food ready to go or else if that moment passes like if you have to go buy it By the time I'm back she's like So it's so like sensitive. Yeah, it's been like really tough on her. >> Can't she do Jamba Juice? >> I don't think so. >> Could she do Robax? Could she do sorry not sorry? >> Oh, she's never had that. She's never had that. Yeah. >> How about like Asian porridge? Just rice and water. >> I mean that's probably that kind of bland stuff that she has to try and stomach when the time comes. >> Yeah, she's eating a lot of bland stuff but she she gets a lot of nutrients from
21 just other things throughout the day. Really like um like one piece at a time. >> A banana? >> Yeah, just like little things. >> As As horrible as she has it, is she still keeping like a pretty happy attitude about the whole thing or is she Is she looking forward to like um delivering the baby and like and all that stuff? >> Yeah. She we were talking recently too because like um we were discussing like different ways that you know there's postpartum depression. But then I guess we learned about another one called like postpartum mania. Have you heard of that? >> Mhm. >> So it's like the opposite. It's like something happens where you just become ████ crazy. >> What the ████ >> Like you get like manic. You just like you're not depressed. You're like at a heightened state and you're like talking too much and doing too much and being crazy. >> I've seen that happen after the second
11 kid. >> Really? >> Oh, really? >> You talking about your sister? >> No, mine. >> So I think right now like Smacc is just really like she's a little bit concerned with like what it's going to feel like afterwards because she said that maybe the cuz she's so sick right now that the feeling of finally not being sick might lead her into too heightened of a state of like feeling so good because she's finally not nauseous after like 9 months of it. I don't know if that she's like afraid that could happen and I guess if that happens you have to be on meds and therapy and ████ It's like crazy. >> wow. >> I think it's going to be like a Thai massage where it's so painful, but when she finally gets it out she's going to relax. >> Yeah. >> For 9 months Thai massage so painful is crazy. >> So that means she's going to have 10 months of relax. >> I think her being self-aware of of that possibility is so much of a deterrent of it. >> That's what I was saying too. I'm like
01 she's really like trying to I guess get ahead of it and just have a logic over it. Um so I think that'll help a lot, but also just it sucks every day to have to like like every single day I she usually gets up first and goes downstairs and then I'm always like sneaking up to see if it's okay yet cuz in the beginning it was so sensitive that like sometimes the sight of me would like make her sick. >> [laughter] >> Damn, that's crazy. >> Cuz she just thinks of curry? >> Yeah, well like I >> [gasps] >> I hit up David So and I was like, "Yo, what is this Did you go through this type of thing?" He's like, "Yeah, you got to know when to leave the house, man." >> [laughter] >> Just like so then sometimes I'll just leave the house. I'll just be ████ like if I shared my location with you guys it would look like I'm just doing laps around Vegas. I'm I'm doing different things until it's like okay to come back in. You know what I mean? >> This is intense, man.
51 >> Hey, just come over, dude. Cuz I don't know when she'll need me. So, I'm I'm just kind of hovering around the address. >> Yeah, you're you're away, but she also needs you. So, you're like >> I'm waiting for her to like need food or want food so I can just get it right away and then bring it back. >> Why don't you just stay in a You have a big house, like a different room. >> Dude, so like here's the thing. Back in the beginning, I would buy food and I would like sneak it up to my office, open the window, and my office is so far from the living room, and she would smell it and throw up. >> They have a crazy heightened sense of smell. >> sense of smell in a pregnant woman is superhuman. >> It's crazy, yeah. >> It's insane. So, then I mentioned yeah. >> You need to eat, you need sustenance, so then you have to stay out so you don't bring the ████ smell home. >> Yeah, it's it's because the if she smells something she doesn't want at the it'll just trigger her nausea and she'll just have to throw up. And if she throws up once, it just by succession, it's
42 like two, three, four, five times, six times, seven times. I just like >> in a row and she can't like stop. >> Can you take a shower or she'll smell it? >> Can I take a shower? What do you mean? >> Like after you eat. And then take a brush your teeth and take a shower after you eat. >> I It's hard because like it's I don't know how to get rid of it really. Like if I ate Shake Shack, it's over. That's like 24 hours of I smell like Shake Shack. >> She's treating you like a ████ Indian man, dude. >> Dude, imagine Korean barbecue. >> Oh, yeah. Everything all of it's like really tough. >> You want to get Korean barbecue? >> [laughter] >> Yeah. >> What can you do now? >> Now it's a lot better now because she's her HG's got gone It's It's gotten a lot more manageable. So, now it she just gets mildly nauseous throughout the day at different times, but she's not like violently throwing up like she was before. Like before it was like it looked like a like the movies
33 where someone just holds her mouth and runs. >> Oh, wow. >> Yeah. And it got it got a little bit like I had to like really understand like where my role is in everything because like you have to not take it personal when like she shoves me away, you know? Like the first time it happened I I reacted in internally like what the ████ Like you just physically shoved me away from me. I've never felt that. >> took it personal. >> Yeah, and then you know you I have to ████ step back in my mind and be like she's carrying your ████ baby, dude. Like >> [laughter] >> Let her shove the ████ out of you, dude. That's harder, you know? So it's like one of those things where I just got to like really I try to as quickly as I can cope with the new conditions and just know that the variables are wide open. Like anything can happen. >> You didn't immediately gaslight her and be like you want our kid to like shove their partner? Can you are you allowed to turn on your car?
23 Cuz I bet the fumes from that ████ crazy. >> Oh dude, [laughter] speaking of which I I drove my van for the first time in a long time and I guess the exhaust is like really really strong now cuz it's been sitting and then when I re-parked it in the garage after driving it I it set off the carbon monoxide alarm inside the house. >> Yeah. >> And the fire department had to come. >> Oh ████ >> And they had to like do a test to make sure like there wasn't a gas leak. >> Wow. >> But I think it was just from that, yeah. >> Oh, but you didn't know it was the car. >> And then I I didn't I had a feeling it might have been so I guess by law you're supposed to call them cuz they have to verify that that none of the utilities are leaking cuz that's bad for the whole neighborhood. So they have to come out and then they looked at everything and they're like no, there's nothing. Your meters are not going off. You don't have any gas moving through the house. And I was like could it be this thing and then
13 they looked at the garage and they're like yeah, it's probably that. >> [laughter] >> They're like that thing's got side pipes. Like you're serious? And then they looked at the Trans Am and they're like you just got nothing but fire hazards in your house, huh? >> And then they probably high-fived you, huh? >> Yeah, they were like we're going to have to confiscate these next time. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. But yeah, every little smell now and it's it's a lot more easier now I think. She can smell food. She can smell me smelling like food. She can probably smell me and smell like BO and it doesn't bother her now. But But still like it's the I think one of the saddest parts is like the first half of the pregnancy, she didn't She couldn't handle being touched on her stomach. So like >> do you mean? Like like caressing the baby? That kind of >> Physically physical contact cuz she was still kind of like sensitive about it. >> Yeah. >> So like while her stomach's, you know, it's getting bigger and I I want to like
04 feel it. >> Yeah. >> things that But she felt so sad because she's like, "I'm so Like one time she's like, "I'm so sorry that I can't You can't touch it." and stuff. >> Like cuz she felt like she was getting She felt like she was getting bigger? Or is that the thing? >> No, it's like it makes you throw up if you touch it. >> Oh, what the >> Yeah. So not anymore. >> That's how sensitive it was? >> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but not anymore. >> you tickle her? >> [laughter] >> We'll both throw up. Yeah. It was like one of those things where she I felt bad cuz she felt sad. Cuz she was like apologizing to me. I'm like, "Don't apologize to me." >> Yeah, she wasn't like getting health issues from throwing up so much cuz like isn't that like you need to hold down some >> You got to just eat replace what you threw up. Yeah, it's crazy. But it was more like it wasn't like she was throwing up every day. It's more like she was on the verge of it 24 hours a day. And then if she did throw up, it
55 was like a machine gun. So she was always trying to prevent the first one. She's like, "If I don't throw up once, then I might last the day, you know." So even on TV if there's a food commercial or like someone's eating I was watching Sopranos, they got ████ Italian food on screen. She can't see it. Cuz she'll throw up, yeah. >> Woah. >> But like this month, it's fine. I can touch her belly. We can I can eat in front of her. We can It's now to a point where it's sort of normal. >> Can you feel the baby moving at all now? >> No, because she'll we'll sit there and she's like, "Oh, it's kicking." and then right when I put my hand there and nothing. I guess that's like a typical thing that happens. So, I still haven't felt it yet, but she's she feels it all day long. >> Oh. >> And she looks pregnant now, dude. If you guys saw her, she looks It's like huge. Yeah, it's great. >> That's awesome. >> Yeah. But, November 23rd
47 >> When you guys going to ████ go out, wait, like what the window of time is and all that? For what? For the birth time. >> Oh, what do you mean? How does that work? >> Are you going to You're going to go to the hospital like like a couple like that window of time and just stay there and wait? >> I don't know. It's just whatever the um the doctor says, yeah. I mean, the place that she goes to for all of her stuff is so close anyway. Everything's close here, so it's not like, you know, back in LA we'd have to like plan it ahead of time, but here it's not it's not a problem. >> Damn, man. That's crazy. You have everything like planned and set at home, too? Like, do you have like a We're going to set this room for this or like how's that thing? >> Yeah, yeah, we we do. We have like a I guess like because our master bedroom is so big, we'll just have the baby in there with us for a lot of time, but we have to move the the bunny stuff to other rooms so that the baby's not immediately exposed to hay, you know,
39 like right off the bat. That would just be crazy. We don't know if she's allergic like I was when I was a kid. >> You're allergic to bunnies? >> I was allergic to like grass and like hair and when I was a kid. Like uh it would set off my asthma. >> Oh, ████ >> So, we don't know yet what things, you know, our daughter will have, so we have to kind of, you know, play it safe. >> Or play it dirty. Just leave it all out while they're newborns. >> Oh, just like exposure therapy? >> Yeah. >> [laughter] >> What did we do in the caves? Well, that's why child mortality is really high. >> Uh well, yeah, then don't do that. >> But, yeah, that's it, man. November 23rd, that's when it's uh coming to a theater near you. >> Happy Thanksgiving. >> Thanksgiving. And then we'll see how uh Filipino this little Australian girl looks. >> That is an interesting mix. >> Yeah, I can't wait.
