05 Uh this is a kind of a uh thought I had the other day where I was thinking like, you know like couples that fake happiness on social media? Mhm, like me. >> [laughter] >> So like I was thinking about that and I'm like, well, I mean, what are they supposed to do? Like show that they're going through problems? Like that's probably not better, but what's an example in your opinion of couples that go too far to like fake happiness? Where's the line for you, you think? >> Um the ones that I've seen in real life are like if when you know them for reals. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I think to overcompensate or like to offer an olive branch, one of them ████ up in real life, you should know the whole story, and then so they post that thing. And then so to the world, because they don't know the back end, they're like, oh, look how sweet they are. But it's

55 because that person is posting that and sharing all this love stuff, like this open letter thing, to get back in their good graces, when it probably should have just been private, you know? But then I think they're using they're leveraging the audience to like, hey, look at our love, isn't it so awesome? Everyone's like, aw, hashtag couple goals, whatever. And then so it becomes like >> cashing in the credits from >> Yeah. And then you're And then so if when you know the full story, like, dude, that's >> [laughter] >> I didn't think about that. That's kind of funny. Like if when you know the real story, like, ████ cuz you guys just had a fight, dude. >> It's like atonement, basically. Yeah. I do hear that with certain couples where that is an issue of like, you never post me on your social media. Ooh. Never You never share that you have a girlfriend or a boyfriend or whatever. Like, what's the deal with that, right? So then they have to kind of show a little face and show that, oh, on page I do have a

45 boyfriend, cuz you know, like there's always an argument of like, he doesn't even have any pictures of you on his page. That means he doesn't care about you or that means he's like ████ other girls or whatever. So you hear this come up a lot in real life. >> dumb-ass friends, too. Yeah, for sure. And yeah, they fuel They add fuel to the fire. >> Yeah, they just feed dumb ideas. >> And then, you know, the other person has to be like, all right, well, here's a picture of us kissing on New Year's Eve, you know, like [laughter] Yeah. >> They have to like go through the Rolodex and ████ So, I don't know. I do see that happen a lot. And, you know, I think that's just the way the game is like changed since like now that we have social media like that. If you don't have your girlfriend or your significant other on there, sometimes a lot of people will think, oh, it's not really real. That means just they're up for grabs. >> the ones that Right. that post is actually like tend to be together. >> Yeah, cuz they're probably busy having

36 fun with each other. >> [laughter] >> Present with each other. >> Yeah. The ones that I've seen that I found the most funny and kind of sad at the same time is when there is a career that they kind of committed to as being an online couple. >> Oh, where it hinges on Yeah, cuz I've seen like straight >> Age-gap couples, oh my god, dude. They have like like a sponsorship or something that they have to complete. And then, you know, they're they're working together pretending to be in love. And then, um they have to post this. But, we all know that they've been fighting and they hate each other and they're on a brink of like divorce or whatever. And then, like the comments are just full of people that are like, I wish I find a love like this one day. And then, I'm just like dying ████ laughing. It's dysfunctional. Yeah, and

27 then they have to do it because now that's it's their main source of income. And then, they can't stand each other, but they don't know what else to do cuz it's like they're not going to go back to whatever work they did before. So, they're like, yeah, I'd rather just try to make it work. And I'm like, dude, this is the saddest ████ ever. I know. Yeah. That that that pains me too because it's like they're locked into almost like a financial situation regardless. There's so many people that have hope from what they think is real. That's the part, yeah. But they it's like the monetary gang. To me it's the same thing as these family vlogging channels where they're like the kids are miserable. Right? But they got to keep it going cuz the parents are like, I ain't going back to my old job. Yeah. Eventually get divorced or something like Yeah. >> like anytime a family does their whole

19 content based on them something goes wrong. Like When it's like 24/7 Yeah, like you just you just always see it kind of crash and burn a little bit. That's the sad part. on Netflix with the guy he kept ████ cheating on all of his all his wife. The family vlogger, yeah, yeah, yeah. That ████ happens all the time, dude. All the time. I'm thinking about the son that escaped. Oh, yeah. They were abusing him. No, no. Christian life coach thing. I I think for me the line is at like when I started seeing Like I of course big difference when you actually know what's really happening, but I think when you see them giving advice on how to be like them then I'm just like >> Or they have something to sell. Damn, dude. Like Like a relationship coach? But it's but they're actually horrible. Yeah. What if you're like just sharing

09 something you're proud of or happy about, but if you're like, you know, trying to tell people like, here's what it takes, seven steps to have a relationship like this. Like shut the ████ up, bro. >> [laughter] >> What I actually wanted to do before, but I would feel bad doing it cuz our fans really like are really invested. I would want to do like fake divorces. Do vlogs of that. I think that'd be so funny. Where you get a divorce, you go to like the law office, and just fake drama, just make crazy fake have fake fights, you're throwing food at each other. You'll get hell of views, dude. It would. But the problem is like I don't cuz there's people that are really invested and they're like, oh, they're fighting." And I'm like, "Oh, I don't want them to like Have these Have these negative feelings. Teach them a lesson, dude. They'll be like, "Relationships are pointless. Look at Bart and Geo. There's no hope in the world. I mean,

59 you already have fake forever homes, you might as well." >> [laughter] >> Dude, if you were to stage a divorce, >> [laughter] >> stage pickups where Taika has to go with Geo for the weekend. I'm going to leave Taika at the hotel cuz I'm going to go to the red light district and I I think I I think he just play some video games, he's fine. >> [laughter] >> that I've seen people do is like um they'll create an image on social media that they wish they had, but they don't have. >> towards or they No, like >> They're not even working towards >> So, like let's say they have a miserable like marriage and like a and like their families like fighting with with their you know, significant others fight like family and just it's just not good, right? So, but they want this um other life so badly that they start

49 creating this persona on social media. It's really complex, but like like they'll they're kind of trying to manifest this other life through social media really badly. And like I can see what's going on and it's really sad, but like also like I don't think they're trying to be inauthentic. I think they're yearning for this other life that they wish they had. So, on social media they could live that. I think that's more the case than not. I think that happens for a lot of couples. You know a funny a funny example of a friend of mine that I mean, I'm not friends with them anymore, but we knew this dude that he would be He's that kind of guy that like if he was walking around Vegas, right? And he let's say he ran into like uh um uh James Franco whatever. And he goes and takes a picture with him, but in the picture he's like shaking his hand. And then in social media it'll he'll make it

40 sound like they did some kind of deal. You know, like they did business together. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's like that kind of guy. And then um so like this dude was uh he was around our camp a lot and um at one point like I think it was one of our tour shows, we would take this long bow with like all 15-20 people that were in the cast at the very end we all take a big bow. This fool ████ uh he was like in the wings cuz like he's friends with uh some of us at the time and he ran onto the stage and got on the end and took the bow with us and someone took a photo of him and he posted it and was like, "We had a great show out here in whatever." He orchestrated that ████ What a legend that guy. I mean cuz he knows WHAT I'M TALKING >> [laughter] >> HE ORCHESTRATED THAT THE PICTURE in right here, dude. But dude, you know what's crazy though is he he like faked the funk for so long that eventually

31 that fool ended up actually getting really big gigs for himself. It's sad because you could tell how desperate he is. [laughter] You got to kind of respect it, yeah. I thought it was satire. I'd be hilarious. >> Bro, yeah, no, it was not satire. Everybody was like roasting about it because we were like, "Dude, this fool really drew like he went over the line on that one cuz Yeah. That's hilarious, dude. Before that he his level of doing it was still kind of like playful where like you could kind of just laugh. Like he'd walk in and we'd all be in a meeting and then he would be in the photo and look like he was part of the planning process of whatever we did. He just was that guy. Like >> Dude, he's telling everybody he beat the King Julian dude. >> [laughter] >> But that that's like yeah, you know that move that Ryan did? I showed him that. That moment when he took the bow though was like unreal. We were like, "That is

21 a next level ████ What does he do now? He's he's actually doing pretty well. That's why I'm saying like it's a He's actually working with James Franco. >> [laughter] >> Hey, he faked it till he made it, dude. He leveraged you guys. >> [laughter] >> No, it's um No, he actually in his industry of what he I don't want to say just I don't want to blow him up, but in the industry of what he does, he's doing very well. To the point where like we could probably go see him sometime right here in Vegas. Like this fool's doing pretty well. It's Shin Lim, dude? >> [laughter] >> Carrot Top? >> WAS THE GUY THAT TOOK a bow? Dude, that's crazy. >> [laughter] >> Dude, Shin Lim? When people are trying to manifest >> it up, dude. When people try to manifest their relationships online, it does make me sad. Cuz I'm like cuz especially when you

11 know the back end, you're like, "Dude, I know what you're working towards, and this is like it's phony to me, but yeah, like what Joe said, I don't think it's inauthentic to them because they're like they're gaming the Yeah, they're almost like playing Ready Player One, and they they just so happen to love the online world more than the real world. But I'd be like the same thing as if like you guys know I hate my mom, but then every post is, "Oh, me and my mom are so ████ tight. We love each other. I love her for Or like, "Always love your moms." >> [laughter] >> Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. What do you think about couples that um make a breakup video or a divorce video for their like followers? I did one. I think you I think you have to. I think you That's a duty? Um I don't know if it's a duty, but I feel like It's a good move? No, no, I don't even think it's like a good move or bad move type thing. I think with social media and with how invested people are now,

01 it's it's not that you owe them an an an explanation, but you kind of do because they are following, and it feels like if you don't um you turn your back on them, and they'll feel backstabbed. Yeah. Yeah, so that's what it feels like. Especially if you were like doing daily vlogs with your, you know, significant other, and then you brought them so much into your lives, and they invested their own kind of like care for you. I I feel like it's the it's it's it's like telling your extended family, you know, like, "Hey, we're not together anymore." I think because they're going to worry, right? So, if you care about how they feel, it's kind of nice to just give them some closure, too. That's the way I see it. But, um I mean, yeah, you don't really owe strangers any explanations or

51 anything like that, but I to me it's it's like why bring them in the journey in the first place, then? Like, you can't Like, if you if you wanted to stay private, then just >> Stay private. >> Stay private, yeah. It's another little advertisement of your boy's back in business. >> [laughter] >> Mac. Your boy's back. They break a video WITH A SIX-PACK. >> [laughter] >> SO, I'VE BEEN really sad. I've been working on my body and my core. >> [laughter] >> Because of how many people that I've seen, though, that have these super beautiful, extravagant weddings, but then, you know, the truth. Like, so, it's got me so jaded, though. Like, where I Like, it kind of ████ up love for me in a way where I was like, I used to look at these things and go, "Dude, that's so cool. Like, they they really went all

41 in." And then, like, they got this destination, and it looks like a movie, and then I'm like, they they took a lot of time and care into planning. And then, statistically, though, like, at least for me and the people that I know, a lot of those were probably overcompensating for their lack of actual love in their relationship. And everyone that had the most ghettoest, like, nonchalant ones, they're like deeply in love. And I'm all like, "Dude, like, That divorce lawyer guy, that's what he always says. He says the more the more extravagant the wedding, the more likely they are to get, um divorced. Or like, the more extravagant like events they have for their own wedding of like, "Oh, it's me. It's my thing." cuz it's like, he was he was he was referencing that a lot of the times those people are tend to be more like narcissistic.

31 And then it's harder to be in a relationship with them because it's like the last thing I wanted was to have more people hear me ████ say my vows, dude. I was like crying during my vows and I was glad it was only like five people there. Cuz you had a COVID wedding, huh? Yeah, yeah, cuz I was like, dude, cuz we were going to have like 300 people and I was like, dude, I'm so after we had our COVID wedding, I was so glad we didn't have that many people. >> [laughter] >> I was like, oh, ████ it was way better. It was way better. Yeah, cuz I just thought that there there these people are balling, so they could afford an extravagant wedding. Kind of like, hey, if you're a celebrity, like if you're a billionaire's daughter, like you can afford a big birthday party, right? So I just thought like that's what they were doing. And then the reality is like a lot of people were just overcompensating cuz they're actually not that rich, so they want to look rich or like there's all these like things going on where they

22 want to put on a big production. >> Just wanted to look important. Yeah, and I was like, oh, ████ like, damn. We've been partying with like 150 people. That was so stressful. It was like >> That's a lot of people for engagement party. Yeah, and I was like I don't want to do this again. Times 50, basically? Yeah. Yeah, dude, ████ that, dude, cuz you you didn't even get to like enjoy the time with your people. Like you have like two minutes with these people that came. Like you were touched that everyone came, but then afterwards you're like this is doesn't even feel right. It doesn't feel like we all connected as a whole. It was just like, "Hey, sorry, you got to go over here. Hey, sorry." You know, just like saying hi and bye to everybody. It's better just have like eight people over. Just have >> Just have a small ████ wedding, man. Yeah.
