00 I don't belong to a trainer, you know what [clears throat] I mean? Guys, guys, guys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> [laughter] >> How about we just all of you CAN HAVE ME? WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EPISODE of the Careful Boys. We got Chris Sosa here with us, y'all. Chris as Sosa. Yes, sir. as Sosa. Yeah. You know, you know what's really fun following on your timeline um and stalking you? You got shredded, man. Oh, hell yeah. Yeah, come on. Tell us your program. Tell us your program. Dude, I was really working it. Appreciate that, bro. I was really working it, man. You inspired me, bro. What the hell? Uh uh >> [laughter] >> Hey, you went through a ████ app transformation. I'm fat right now. >> Don't secretly form Don't secretly film Bart right now and send it to your dad. >> [laughter] >> It's already done, buddy.

51 Um but so I met this uh this guy up Money L. Money L's out there in in Brooklyn, best style. We trains over there at the uh uh Von King Park. And they're they're there and this is like very like super New York for at least for me to see like these buff dudes that are like just hitting calisthenics, bro. They're just doing these pull-ups and Cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That That whole scene. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I just I've just seen those in like, you know, uh music videos. You know what I'm saying? Like Ja Rule videos or something. Yeah. But they were really getting down and uh I was just doing the like walking the park. Circle track. You know, riding my journal. You know what I mean? Like But finally like >> Super ████ stuff. Very. And then he approached me though. He was just like he was like you know, if you ever want to get down cuz I I got I would go over there and just kind of do some light whatever, but

42 they were always there, but they would do this a thousand reps program. Oh, ████ Yeah, yeah, thousand reps. Thousand pull-ups? >> Thousand reps. So on the on a Friday they do a thousand of the same workout, but like Monday through Thursday it's like 250 of each, you know what I mean? Four different exercises, right? >> Oh, wow. That's a hell of reps. Yeah, it is. It is. So, it will it will start around from like 9:30 to finish around like 12:00, 1:00, right? Like morning till lunchtime or night till midnight? >> No, no, no. Morning till lunchtime. >> You would do like a 4-hour workout? >> Yeah. But, it's cool cuz like like it's actually like you're God damn. You're you're uh Like kicking it? >> Yeah, you're kicking it, you know what I'm saying? You're you're with homies that are like they're also going through the same pain. Money owes is a different type of He's just on a different level that like he could just keep going, you know what I mean? But,

32 >> Do you know you can kick it other places, right? Yeah, [laughter] yeah, I do. Yeah, right. I don't know Like you could kick it in like a cigar lounge. >> Yeah, no. I'm but I don't know if there's something about it cuz like I I I I tried doing gym memberships and all these things. I come from a boxing background, and so I never really found joy in, you know, lifting weights and all that stuff. It just wasn't cool to me, you know what I mean? Like so, when I when Count Stex, like when I saw them, they were cool people. They were welcoming, you know what I mean? Uh uh and uh Count Stex was fun, you know what I mean? Doing the pull-ups, doing the push-ups, all that stuff. It was It was active. I'm really like moving around. And so, uh and it also you feel you feel a different level of confidence and and and accomplishment knowing like, "I just did 1,000 reps today." You know what I'm saying? Like I can I can like be on the train or like I'm I'm like on stage knowing that like nobody in this audience did 1,000 reps. I did, though.

22 Did you from the jump, like beginning, first day one? No, no, no. And he he And there's no pressure. There's no pressure, either. They're not saying like, "You're going to get the 1,000 reps and you and or you're going to be a b████." Like they're they're not even on that, either. >> Like I did 50 today. They're like, "Good job." >> Really like you you want to leave you want to leave the park knowing that you did the most reps you've ever done. Uh That's dope. So, like, you know, I got to like 250 push-ups where I was like, "Damn, I just did that." You know what I mean? Like, yeah, I could do 100, you know, so you know, five sets of 20, whatever, but like uh when I got to 250 or I got to 300, I'm like, damn. But then it actually had me go like, well, let me sneak around and like, you know, pace it. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm I'm behind a few folks. Some other people were also new, too. But it got to a point where it was like, kind of like a ceremony of like, yo, Chris is going to do his first 1,000 push-ups today. You know what I mean? And I thought about it. I'm like, I knew

12 like the night before, I'm like, I'm about to really do it. And and man, it was a dope feeling, bro. You just go straight no breaks. >> I don't know, breaks. Yeah, no, no, no. Breaks, hell yeah. That's why I did That's why it takes so long. But did you move your arms the next day? Yeah, I was cool. It was all right. What? Oh my god. It's like through all the time of like, you know, just doing the 300, doing the 400, all all of that. Whenever it got to cuz even at the 500 mark, it's like a we we take a break. Like, we go there's a there's a bodega right there. Like, we'll get an orange or bananas, like some fruit, Gatorade. Oh. Yeah, yeah. Then they we're going to do the next 500. You know what I mean? Holy ████ But all those reps and then also, too, like not just doing those reps, I really wanted to switch up like the nutrition. Cuz the main thing was like, you know, I'm I've always been a skinny guy. And but I'm also a comedian. So, like my diet was just like wings, fries, you

03 know, drinking, you know, get free drinks, you know what I mean, at the club. So, it's like I started just getting like really like pudgy and like, you know, all the alcohol, you start to just look puffy. You know what I mean? So, I was just like, I want to I really want to like switch it up. I want to see how I look. How do I look at like like prime? You know what I mean? Like, I've never thought that before. I was just kind of I mean, I I guess when I was a kid when I was like fighting, but that was it. Now, I'm like older, I want to like really do that, you know? So, doing the reps and then I switched up the the diet. So, like eating and eating boring, too. You know, my my homie Juan Yeah, Juan Juan Gil. He was the one that was really like telling me, bro, just keep it simple, bro. Eat your three eggs, you know, maybe put some peppers, onions, and that stuff. Or you can eat oatmeal with uh blueberries, throw some honey on there, maybe with some peanut butter. That's your breakfast. Then for lunch, I was just

53 doing like a protein shake with maybe some like celery or some fruits. That was like my lunch. And then for dinner, then I'll eat like, you know, like a a hearty meal with like chicken. I eat quinoa now. I don't really eat a lot of rice. And I'm Latino, bro. That's like Oh, I love rice. No rice, damn. Yeah, y'all know in the Asian community, too. Like rice rice is where it's at. But, I switched it up cuz What rice and dog? YOU SAID WHAT? >> [laughter] >> YOU KNOW. NEVER TRIED IT. >> [laughter] >> I SAID YOU DON'T LIKE COCKER SPANIEL fried rice? Yeah, [clears throat] I never had it. The higher the pitch, the more tasty actually. That's like our platanos. What? That's your platanos? Yeah. [laughter] Chihuahua and broccoli? So, uh so yeah, switching up switching up the diet and doing that, bro. Yeah, it really like it it I saw the I saw the

44 results uh quick. So, like that summer, it was like nice. Now, like uh Yeah, what do you guys do when it's cold? Bro, they were >> still do it? They yeah, they they do. Wow. They do. I was like I I I It's like wind chill in New York right now. I was like >> Yeah, I've done a couple days out there like it in the cold and like really thinking like hey, I'm I'm like I'm really in it. They can't see me, but I'm like this is insane, bro. Yeah, I now I'm I'm in the crib. I have my pull-up bar in in the house. >> But, it must be more fun with a bunch of friends. That's what it is. Like whenever I'm doing active ████ with friends, like time just passes and you're just like man, this was so good. I wish I could do this all the time. And you just push harder. Yeah, cuz you're competing, huh? You're like you ████ you did that? All right, I'm going to ████ do that, too. What if you try to hit that number, like a thousand push-ups? ████ Yeah, man. And Money L, like he's really cool. Like he'll he'll have these things like these these mantras that he'll just say out

34 loud like as we're working out. He'll just be like man, we've all gone through harder ████ in life. >> And you got a motivational speaker, too? Yeah, he's He's it like we're as he's doing push-ups, he's like we've going through harder ████ in life, bro. This is a rep is nothing." >> I'm going to lose count if he keeps talking. Yeah, I'm like, "Come on, dude." >> I think I did 15 three times. >> You know what I'm saying? But like but it really like hit home at least for for me at least, you know what I mean? Cuz like man, I've gone through like evictions. I gone through like getting back on a couch, getting back on you know, and I don't know what I'm going to eat. >> Tyrese kicking you out? Tyrese kicking me out. So I've like I'm like, "Yeah, you know what, bro? Tyrese [laughter] stole your girlfriend? Yeah, you know what, bro? I can ████ get back up. You right. You right, bro. You know what I'm saying? So Tyrese stole your girlfriend, dude. Yeah, dude. So I'm just like, "F███ Tyrese, bro." You know what's funny is like you see those calisthenics like groups, right? In in New York and whatever it's like all tough-looking dudes and then you see

25 it in Asia, it's all senior citizens ████ doing muscle-ups. You see like a 90-year-old grandpa like ████ doing some crazy ████ >> Dude, in K-Town in the parks, you see that. >> Yeah. Word. Just all these old grandpas. Cuz they eat dog. It's the >> [laughter] >> dog that keeps them strong. It's the diet, dude. They should all join forces. Do you ever go back to boxing or no? That's not as as fun as uh I I always get back into a gym. I have There's actually a gym nearby where I stay at and it happens every time. This already happened in two different boxing [snorts] gyms in New York, but they they see me doing my thing and I just I train recreationally and I always tell them I'm not trying to compete, not trying to go pro. Uh I just want to train here, get my get workout in and leave. But there's always a trainer in there that's kind of just like, "You know, you still got it, man. You know, you >> Or they get too excited and they want to And they and they and they want to they

15 want to train me. Like this last situation that I had was, you know, I let them know I'm just here to train. This is not I'm not trying to get back in that life, dude. I'm not trying to You know what I'm saying? I'm retired. Yeah, yeah, I'm retired. You know, it's like it's like that. Like they want me to get back in the war, you know, or to do that that last mission. Yeah, yeah. And this trainer was wanted to do pad work with me and I'm I'm "All right, for sure." But I let him know I'm like, cuz sometimes they want to charge for that. And just like, oh, I'm cool. And they're like, no, no, no, just like for the love, like, do some pad work. All right. And then this other trainer was like, he was actually trying to like claim me being like, he's mine. I do I do pads with him, bro. Though, you don't you don't go you don't got to do pads with him. That's my athlete. >> Yeah, and I'm over here like, wait, what's happening here? You know what I'm saying? And so I just I had to like tell both of them. I was just like, hey guys, I was like, yo, You don't belong. Choose one, Chris. >> yeah. I was like, I don't belong to a

05 trainer, you know what I mean? Guys, guys, guys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> [laughter] >> How about we just all fight? Both of you CAN HAVE ME. >> [laughter] >> THAT'S LIKE WHEN YOU'RE STOPPED in traffic and those guys come up and start washing your windshield and they start fighting over who's washing your windshield. >> You're like, relax, guys. You're like, oh, ████ I don't even want MY WINDSHIELD >> WANT ANYBODY. I DON'T WANT YEAH, AND I CAN'T even see anything. GUYS, GUYS, GUYS. >> [laughter] >> YEAH, SAME THING, BRO. Both of you can have me. It made the energy weird in the gym, bro, and I stopped going there. Just You know what I'm saying? Like That is weird, though. That's weird, dude. But do you do you ever go in and play play like down, so then you don't get noticed? And you're just like No, I'm not going to lie. And then no one wants to work with you and [laughter] ████ >> How is that beneficial? Yeah, he's just like he just does he practices, but he pretends that he's not that good.

56 >> but it is. Same ferocity. So no one notices, you know? >> Yeah. I get in it, man. I don't know. I I like to still like feel nice with it. Just for myself, you know what I mean? So, but but it's always that's like they'd be like, well, what what where did you come from? Or where where do you train at? You know, they yeah, they're they're You still got it in you, kid. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm just like, man, I'm a comedian, bro. I do stand-up comedy. You could be a star and I can help you. >> [laughter] >> RIGHT. RIGHT. >> OF like agents, you know? >> Yeah, yeah, cuz they have the exactly they they see dollar signs. They see that they can give me some quick fights, you know, we'll go to Mexico, get some quick bum fights, you know what I mean? Like and just build it up, build a record up, you know, and stuff like that and you know, I'm like, nah. >> Do you ever get people that are like, oh, I want to spar and then you're like, all right, light, and then they're like going full on because they want to see what you're made of? Yeah, man. It They happen to that that somebody did that uh cuz he was trying to uh teach his

47 fighter, you know, some some techniques cuz he was like, yo, look out Chris is doing it. You see how he's how he's how he's uh dipping with his, you know, counter counter punch and all that stuff and you know what we're going to like y'all y'all go but just go go light but we're just kind of, you know, that type of thing and and and you know, I'll just I'll tag him, you know, the other thing but then they get frustrated of how easy they're getting tagged so they'll they'll want to throw like a a haymaker and I'm just like, hey, man. Come on, bro. What we doing? You know what I'm saying? What what we doing? You know what I mean? So, I just kind of I just I just keep it chill, you know. Everybody got a price though. Like, what's your price? Like, one one for what? Like, a celebrity >> be down to do like a celebrity, you know, like match like especially now that like uh Jason Chenny. Jason Chenny. You got to go for the old guys, dude. You got to do the Jake Paul ████ Nah, I don't want to do the old guys, man. You should fight Robert De Niro. Did you say Jason Chenny? Robert De Niro. He did one.

38 Robert Downey Jr. Yeah, there you go. That'd be tight. I think he would win. Nah, he I know he has hands though. See, because I want to I want it would be somebody who actually like has hands like that. Like, I know Justin Bieber uh trained with Mayweather. He he likes to like do some boxing. I know Chris Brown like box, you know what I'm saying? Yo, he boxed his wife. Hey, man. What about Tyrese? >> going to go there. And he won. Yeah, for sure, bro. Me and Tyrese got to get that fade, bro. You know what I'm saying? In the ring. Mark Zuck? Mark Zuck? Mhm. Yeah, hell yeah, bro. Yeah, like those like uh cuz you know, now that uh what like YouTubers are getting into the ring now like the the Jake Paul's like doing that whole situation. I thought that was I thought it was cool, bro. As as annoying and trolly as they could be, bro, I'm like, damn, they they really like put on those fights, you know what I'm saying? >> Would you rather would you rather do like go to Mexico for like a quick bump fight or would you rather like box like Hillary Clinton?

29 That's [laughter] what okay, wild bro. >> Celebrity? Yeah, no I wouldn't fight no lady like that bro. >> No, cuz you lose either way. Yeah, [clears throat] that's no good. >> You win and you lose. >> She kills people. She yeah, lose right there. She got a body count. Yeah, yeah. No, I wouldn't do it like that. But >> checking. Everybody got a price. Yeah, everybody got a price.
