00 We go trick-or-treating and there's a couple of communities out here that areing insane. >> The creativity is like pretty wild. Like a whole kid would be like an airplane with their sister or some ████ and I'm just like, dude, this is so crazy. >> Two other kids are twin towers. [Music] >> Welcome back to Careful Boys. T the season. It's Halloween season. What do you guys usually do like for Halloween? You guys do >> pass out candy to children. Quest crew Halloween. >> Yeah. >> What do you do? >> Quest crew Halloween party. >> Oh, those are freaking fun. >> I need a I need a translator. >> Quest crew Halloween party. >> So yeah, Ryan he does every year probably going I think over 10 years strong. >> Mhm. >> Um he always had books a pretty cool venue and there's always a pretty cool theme and then it's packed to the brim

52 all kinds of >> but he's always sleeping. He's never there. >> Yeah. I I I watch everyone's stories and I'm like, "Dude, that was such a great time. >> Such a good >> He doesn't party, right? >> He's never." >> No, he he No, he's Ryan's always there. He doesn't drink. >> He doesn't drink, but he hangs out and he he's having a good time. >> What does he do, though? >> He He >> Well, I mean, Ask Subin. He's on Quest. Quest hosts the whole thing every single year, and then they all like dress up together in a theme and stuff. >> Yeah. Every Ronald's there, too. >> It's like Ryan's there with a notebook just taking notes of everyone doing stuff. Every year we host a free Halloween party, right? All you got to do is come show up in costume, >> but it's invite only. >> Invite only. We got to know you. You got to know somebody. You got to know somebody. But we got to know you. >> And I love how everyone's dressed up, too. It's not like a quarter of people dressed up and then the rest of the

42 people are too cool >> and no one half asses it. Everyone goes all out. >> Yep. Everyone goes all out. Except there was a time where some dude put up an uh an outfit and said I'm from Smash like Smash 41 or something. Smashmouth. >> What? The band? >> The band. Like >> you just meant blended some 41 and Smash. >> Smash 41. >> That's crazy. The guy from the band came out. >> Yeah. Like he just he just put in uh uh plaid and cargo shorts. >> Did he get kicked out? >> Is that whack? >> No, because he knew he he came by he came because of our homie. Like, >> wait, so it was really a band member. >> No, it wasn't. >> Oh, >> he just said that's who he was. >> Oh, >> so you guys like confronted him? >> You were like, "Hey, hey, what the hell? What's this casual ████ >> dude?" >> That's kind of lame for you to drop like your name thinking like, "So that's

33 going to get me in." You're like, "Uh, Incubis, dude." They're like, "Get the ████ out of here. You're not dressed correctly." >> No, the worst part is it's not like it there wasn't even the whole club was already filled and then we saw him. It was just like it was right before the party, too. He's like a prep and he ended up being there like right before the prep and we all just stared at him like what the ████ is this guy going to be? >> It's basically just a ████ costume. >> This is a s█████ as ████ >> At a costume party. >> That that's always going to happen though, right? >> Yeah. There's always one >> no matter what. >> There's always one that's too cool for school and they don't want to go all the way. >> I came as full Gandalf last year. Remember that? >> Did you? >> We unintentionally matched. >> What were you? >> I was like Joe Snow. >> Oh, >> kind of. We were kind of medieval. >> I was dressed as ████ myself cuz I didn't get an invite. So I was >> You were Were you even in LA up there? >> No, no, no. It's fine.

23 >> Yeah. Yeah. You could have totally come. What? >> I could have, but I didn't. >> You think you would have came just to party from all the way from Vegas? >> If Anthony was there, I probably would go >> cuz I I would have fun with Anthony. >> He's there every year. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> It's such a big thing that Ryan requested me to make sure we don't have JK on the Halloween week. >> Yeah. so he can prepare for it and he's gonna go back to LA to host this thing. >> Wow. >> That's how big of a deal it is >> for this year. >> For this year. Oh, >> he requested, can we not have JK on the week of Halloween if it lands that way? >> It was a big thing. >> Yeah. He's actually preparing for it right now. That's why he's not here. >> So, that's what I had to do to avoid going to JK on July 4th. I should have said something cuz like two years ago, I was I was sitting in a hotel room all day July 4th because we had JK the next morning. But don't worry because holidays Gio will yell at me now and I

15 avoid them like a regular person. >> Thank you Gio. Thank you. >> Before I just numbers are just numbers to me like what's ████ 74 or 1225 like whatever but those are just numbers right and she goes you ████ booked it on the on Christmas. I'm like oh sorry I was looking at it during July so I didn't 1225 didn't register as Christmas. >> You should have been like me Chinese I don't do that >> always open >> Chinese people have Christmas. I was just sitting in the bicycle hotel. I could hear the hum of the air conditioner and just pop and I was like, "What am I doing here?" He's looking out the window like, "Damn." >> I'm like, "Oh, cool. The call time is 8:30 in the morning tomorrow, so I have to be here." >> And we filmed on July 5th. >> Yeah, exactly. >> I did I did the family stuff, which is pretty cool. >> Yeah. >> So, we go to uh we go trick-or-treating, and there's a couple of communities out

05 here that are ████ insane. like they go all out and they they kind of get their own like uh community like I don't know like their tribe together and they all like agree and they'll yellow tape like straight up a square mile. So when the kids trick or treat no cars come in. So when people like are like delivering Domino's pizza, they'll stop at where the caution tape is cuz they literally caution tape like a whole square mile >> and then they'll meet them and grab the pizza there. So that way all the kids are safe and then uh the streets look like a ████ EDC carnival. It's packed with kids and then people go all out. I've seen um hot rods in the driveway that shoot flames out and then there's like a guy that will have like a a glass tube that launches candy from a second floor every time a kid comes. It's

56 crazy. I've seen like >> it's it's where is this? All a bunch of communities in Vegas. They go all out. You'll see like eight feet people like, you know, when you go to like Halloween Horror Nights >> on stilts. >> Yeah. People doing their own ████ It It literally looks crazier than not scary farm. >> You know, you'll find them. >> I heard that they block off the streets and it's so sacred that even if a grandma gets a heart attack, they don't even pick her up. >> No. >> Really? >> Mhm. >> If she's outside the caution tape. Yeah. >> Go, oh, she's a good Halloween actress. Drag her out of here. >> Yeah. >> Get her back in the haunted house. >> Yeah. Is she passing out candy? Then get the ████ back in. They put a wooden steak in there and they just put onions everywhere. >> That's super cool. We We should go if you guys are free. Um there's one in Centennial Hills. There's like one in Summerland and they go all out and the kids have a blast >> on the day on Halloween. >> On the day. Yeah. >> They have like a costume contest right

46 in front of my store and they have like different age brackets, right? So you have like from babies to like elementary school kids and their parents go freaking all out. like they'll make like a whole ice cream truck and the kids like in there and it's like they make it out of a Power Wheel or like because I think the there's like a prize for like Hawaiian Airlines sponsors it or whatever, but like there's like this massive prize. It's like a free vacation or some ████ So people go crazy like and then like the creativity is like pretty wild. Like some of the stuff that I seen I'm like the a whole kid would be like an airplane with their sister or some ████ and I'm just like dude this is so crazy. >> Two other kids are twin towers >> and they keep chasing after him. >> Dude, you're not improv parties I used to go to. People were dressed as 911 and

36 stuff like that all the time. >> Damn. Right after 911 cuz I want to be edge lords brother. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I was always the guy who's like wearing a football jersey. I'm like I'm a football player. ████ yourself. Just leave me alone. I'm here. >> I'm Smash 41. >> You're in your your costume right now. Yeah. >> For fifth or sixth grade, I think I just wore my mom's clothes. I'm a girl. >> And it was just an excuse so I could wear high heels around elementary school the whole day. >> You wanted to? >> I wanted to. I thought it was hilar I thought it would be hilarious to have like lipstick and then constantly have my bra strap falling and I have to like keep going like this. Thought it was so funny. >> Wait, >> I've crossdressed before for Halloween. >> I've done that cuz I thought it was funny. >> But now people do serious. >> Dude, dude, that's weird. Now I think about it. That's hella weird. >> I was Marilyn Monroe one year. >> Hell yeah. >> You do the picture with the classic picture with the >> Oh, yeah. >> Damn. >> It's real good. Full out.

27 >> You have good legs, too. I think that would work. >> I have hairy legs. My ex-girlfriend did my makeup and it was really good. >> Really? Oh, ████ You got >> Do you miss her? >> Yeah. Do I miss her? >> Yeah. >> Marilyn Monroe. Yeah. She's like American icon. >> Do you guys remember like um doing like a costume contest or like a parade in elementary school? >> Yeah, absolutely. where like they play Monster Mash and ████ I feel like every elementary school you had that and then you you you go to school in your costume and you wear it all day. >> And I remember like all the kids that got their Kmart ████ like it's like the cheapest. You get like a plastic mask and you had like a mumu or something that was the costume. >> Yeah. And the seams are like ████ ripping >> and it could be anything from like R2-D2 to whatever, right? And I remember thinking like my mom used to customize like she would make me Dracula, all that ████ It would it would be so cool. But

17 I wanted that cheap ████ >> That's what everyone else has. >> Yeah. And then I was like, man, I want to be Chewbacca or like And it's like a cheap ass Chewbacca face with like a robe and it's like nothing, right? But that's what everyone had >> and you regret it like in 5 minutes after putting on the the mask. >> No, I I I finally got it and I thought it was so cool, but looking back it was stupid. Dude, you remember those like that like foam Batman like cape plus like >> the ████ dude? That was my ████ >> The ones that have like muscles in it, too. >> No, no, just just like it was just a cape and a cowl, but it was like kind of a foam thing. Yeah, it was really popular. >> I remember wearing having that as a kid for Halloween and then I think I wore it like every day for the next like two months after that. >> I used to wear it all the time. And the best thing about that age is you really think you look exactly like Batman. >> Yeah, you are Batman. >> You are Batman. It's crazy. >> My parents are divorced, right? So

08 they're never on the same page. Uh for Halloween and my dad was super like down to do whatever all the time and my mom's super against everything. >> What if you dress up like Buddha though? >> Oh, that would have >> She might be down. >> Damn. >> And then so my uh I want to be a ninja cuz this is when like three ninjas was out. >> I want to be ninja. >> I found a mar found a martial arts store that that made real ninja outfits. So not like the >> leotard leggings, but like it it actually felt like a ghee, like a like full ninja. So, my dad took me there. Uh, he bought it for me. I was in the bathroom. I couldn't wait to go trick-or-treating. I had the full ████ ninja thing on and everything with my ████ toes looking like this. My mom ████ opens the door. She's like, "Take that ████ off. You're not going to be a ninja." And I'm like, >> "What? >> Why was she so against your ninja?" >> Well, I think at first I was like, "Is it against the costume?" And then for

58 her, she's like, "You're not even going out. What are you talking about?" And I'm like, "Oh s███." I thought I was like dropping from like seventh floor to sixth floor. It was seventh floor to ████ the basement. I'm like, I'm not even going out. No, >> mine's going to beg for candy. >> Yeah. She's like, "What the ████ It's a weekday." I'm like, "Yeah, there's ████ thousands of kids outside." She was like, "Nope. Do homework." >> Damn. >> Oh my god, that sucks. >> Did you ever trickor treat? >> When I got a little bit older, my mom would let me uh go out for just like a quick like 30 minutes or an hour. >> Damn, that sucks, dude. for us at our school. You guys probably had this too at elementary school. You could dress up on a certain day >> so you could wear your costume. >> Yeah. So I uh I was a ninja. Same thing cuz Three Ninjas was super popular and stuff. So I got one of those like the

48 cheap like black ninja costume with the little strings you have to tie all over the place. And I have and my mom like made sure to tie them cuz she knew I was going be wearing it all day and it'll those strings will come undone. So I I I walked to the bus stop and I'm like, "Huh? None of these idiots are dressed up for Halloween. Bunch of idiots. Like it's the best day ever. Why aren't you dressed up for Halloween? And then I get on the bus and we start picking up more and more kids and nobody's dressed up but me and I'm wearing a full ninja costume with like a ninja mask and everything. And then I get to school and nobody's dressed up still and I'm walking all the way through the hallways. I'm like, "What the absolute hell is going on?" And I'm like, "Whatever. Who cares?" I'm going to my class and I know my class is going to dress up cuz everyone's been talking about it all week. So I I go like I go against the wall and I go into the the classroom. I go like like like a ninja, you know, like because I think ninjas do that. Um, and everyone was like, "What? What did you Why are you dressed up today? It's tomorrow." >> You got the day wrong.

38 >> I got the day wrong. And then >> Oh, well, my mom got the day wrong, I guess, cuz she was looking at the calendar like while she's doing a million things, I'm sure, cuz it was always on the fridge. >> That's dope. >> Yeah. And then the worst thing about it though is my mom tied the strings so tight that like I had to be back there with my teacher for like like 15 20 minutes like just undoing the strings so I could get the coffee. So you you're that loser in kid. I mean in class. >> Yeah, dude. I also got essayed too. So you want to you want to laugh about everything? >> Yo, chill, man. I wasn't talking about But so you're that one kid everyone looked at just like what the ████ Look at this. Look at this weirdo. >> Yeah, I was that kid. >> Dressed hella early. Yeah, you're the kid we were all teased to. >> Both you guys' mom should get sucked. >> I wish at that time. >> At least you guys got costume. My dad was so cheap. He said I wanted to be a Star Wars dude. of the Clone Wars. So my

29 dad drew the Clone Wars and we had to cut it out and then we just put a tape and a string around it. >> He drew Clone Wars. >> Sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines >> and you just made it. >> You probably was like a white koala. >> No, it wasn't even white. It was just a brown cardboard box. My dad My dad was like nice enough to draw the Clone Wars shape and look. >> Did he draw it kind of good though? >> Hella good. My dad was an artist. >> I'm done doing math homework. Yeah, but like what the ████ dude? I had to get a cardboard box in my face. They didn't even fit right. You know what I mean? Like, wow. You guys had costumes at least? >> Had I had Yeah. a ninja costume. It was cool >> on the wrong day. >> On the wrong day. My my my aunt used to make like exact looking costumes and so all of us just hated her because we wanted to we wanted her to make those for us.

19 But I don't talk to her anymore.
