00 Are you good enough as a squad leader if I went in cold and I don't know I play Call of Duty but I don't know ████ anything military. >> I I can guarantee you guide you to our ████ success. I will guide you to >> You have never sounded so hot in my life, brother. [laughter] That was ████ sick the way he said that. Welcome back to another exciting episode of the Careful Boys. I um don't even remember what my topic is. >> I got you. Uh so now that you've been through military training all this stuff. >> That's what it was. >> You're a big time gamer. >> Wait, this is Steve's article now. >> We all Thank you. And it qualifies >> If it gets over 30,000 views it's my video. >> We all know that you're a massive gamer and you love military games specifically Call of Duty all that stuff. >> No, Squad, yeah.

50 >> Thank you. Nailed it. How have you or have you applied any of that into the way that you game? >> Oh, absolutely. That's the only way I I play games now. Like Squad is a military sim, okay? So it's just like everything's large scale or close quarter combat. >> it kind of like like cuz the closest thing I can think of is like Counter-Strike. Is it similar to that or >> No, no, no. It's like real life training. We have Russian players, we have Chinese players. >> Whoa, you fight the world? >> No, no. It's the world joins us and they fight and just we fight the way you know, the tactics are. It's it's super real life. You have to get a logi truck, you have to have helicopters, you have to have tanks. >> wow. >> You enter a whole like Fallujah, you enter a big ass city and you have to control certain parts of the city. >> So it's hyperrealistic. Wow. >> It's hyperrealistic. So you have to have

40 a commander. >> So if you get shot, you're like downed. >> Yeah, yeah. Immediately, you know what I mean? >> Wolfenstein. That's the last game. >> [laughter] >> Jesus Christ. 1988 or '84? He's like it's so it's not like Bubble Bobble. >> Is it a It's not a first-person shooter? That's what I mean. >> It is it is. It's like a first-person person shooter but you're in you're doing 50 verse 50 and it's large scale combat so you have to have scout helicopters. >> So it's more coordinated. I think he's saying it's the difference between playing like Mario Kart versus like the actual Gran Turismo Sims that if you play that really good you can get recruited to do actual like F1 type >> The Sim is super boring and legit. >> It It relates, right? That's why you That's why there's a lot of Ukrainian and Russian players in this MilSim. And um Squad is a crazy game because you need to have helicopters do recon or else

31 you're going in there blind. So you have squad you know helicopters to do some recon. Anyways You get a group in. Before I used to play like I don't give a ████ what I you know I'll get in a helicopter and just ████ around or I'll just drive a tank and ████ around or get inside and know how and not have a specific plan. You know what I mean? But since I came back I offered to be a volunteer for squad leader at all games and I just I guide them because half the guys it's real life. Real life you don't have any guidance you they're going to do whatever ████ they want, right? But when I volunteer for a games to be a squad leader I tell these guys what to do and they don't mind doing it because that's that's the fun part. They have no idea what they're doing so if you have some form of instructions they're going to they're going to get it and they're going to just follow your instruction and if it works it works if it doesn't we'll figure it out. So Now simple things like before like when

21 I was running into a buildings I would just run into a building not even worry about concealment or even even like uh you know uh like a >> You're Leeroy Jenkins in >> Yeah I was just ████ trying to Call of Duty it. You know how Call of Duty everyone sprints, parachutes down, climb up, parachutes down. I'm like ████ >> They're they're playing like they're in a video game versus playing like it's your real life. Like you wouldn't just sprint into a building like >> just sprint into a building, right? So before even going into building you just call in your buddies. Hey, I need you to suppress this ████ building while we all ████ run in. So and then you a bunch of BTRs and helicopters throwing ████ rounds at a building. And then then you would have a whole squad element go under a building and then slowly patrol up top and clear every ████ room out. It doesn't matter, you know, if you have two guys or three guys on the fourth floor, you still got to clear out the whole room. And have post security in

12 the bottom. ████ like that. Even patrolling now through ████ forces, you're not going to just run in a line cuz one machine gun or ████ a grenade can wipe you guys all out. So, you want to you want to patrol in a in a military term of just a wedge for formation, which is just like a arrow. So, >> Flying V. >> Yeah. >> Sick. >> So, you want you want to patrol what at least 50 m away from each other in a arrow plan format formation. So, if you get hit with a grenade or hit with a gunshot, the whole team's not affected. You're aware one guy went down and everyone looks. So, every game now makes sense, you know, you don't want to just do ████ just to do it. So, I always ask for assistance and if everyone who's playing correctly, they're going to be there to assist you. >> Are there other guys in the military like in your So, they know how to play?

03 >> Absolutely, bro. You don't realize how many military dudes are actually playing this game until you start saying military vocabulary. Then they're going, "Oh ████ were you in the service? "Oh, were you an infantryman? "Oh, I understand what you're saying." >> You don't do that ████ at the top of every single game like Maximus Decimus Meridius ████ in Gladiator where he's like, "Has anybody served?" So, I was with you in Vietnam now, whatever [laughter] he says. You know what I'm talking about? I served with you in Vietnam now. >> You can identify who's on >> You know, we'll only stand a chance if we work together. >> No, no, you don't you don't want you know, look look >> I feel like that's the ████ lobby of every ████ game. >> Look, you don't want to be that lame where you don't want to have people that have never served not want to play. So, you got to be humble >> Cuz you're still playing with regular people. >> to be cool. And when you do talk like that, those civilians, they're going to be like, "Oh my god, I feel like I'm

54 actually in a ████ service." So, they they play up with you. >> That's me. >> So, yeah. So, it's okay. Nobody judges them. Nobody, you know what I mean? Nobody ████ hates on them. >> I'm like, "I'm basically in the military. I play this game." >> Yeah. Hey, that's fine, bro. We don't care. We we welcome them. We welcome them. [laughter] But then >> You don't say ████ like, "If you find yourself in Elysium." >> No, but hey, when you create a squad, I I just put infantry. And when people join, and as soon as you go like, as soon as you give them instructions like, "We're going to go to this point, ████ GL 4255559, and ████ ████ hit hit hit hit." Then everybody in the comment goes, "Oh, ████ yeah. Let's ████ go." Then it motivates you to be like, "All right, some of these guys know what they're talking about." >> Then you go, "What we do in life echoes in eternity." Do you say that ████

44 >> Hey, man, that's pretty good. I'm >> Three more references before you >> I feel like somebody's got to say ████ like that. That'll get me so ████ horny. >> We just go we just go, "All right, boys, we're going to go in ████ hot. Whatever happens, ████ happens." And we're in a truck driving towards the ████ point, and I just do a prayer. Dear heavenly father, >> Oh, prayer prayer [laughter] is gay ████ dude. You guys aren't even having fun anymore. You're just stressed out all the time. [laughter] >> No, everybody Hey, as soon as I >> You're just sitting there. You're peeing in your actual pants. You're Holy ████ >> No, as soon as we as soon as we start driving, as soon as I start doing the prayers, everyone locks in. Everyone quiet down. I go, "Dear heavenly father, guide us through this ████ logistics trucks as we go into this heavily armed ████ point." And then everyone goes, "What the ████ This fool just did a prayer for us." I'm like, "F███ yeah, we're going in hot." >> How long are the games? Cuz like, if I'm

35 just thinking about like Call of Duty or something where you just die like you got you do all this prep, and then you get shot. You can't respawn. >> No. Yeah, no, dude. >> You ever got merked after a prayer? >> No, no. Hey, listen. This is our 30 game. It's a You got to be It's it's a whole game. >> Yeah, so if you get if you die like >> If you die, you got to wait You got to wait for me to put a rally point down or you got to wait for somebody to open up a headquarters. >> Yeah, this just sounds really stressful. >> Are you good enough as a squad leader if I went in cold and I don't know I play Call of Duty, but I don't know ████ anything military. >> I can guarantee you, guide you to our ████ success. I will guide you to >> You have never sounded so hot in my life, brother. [laughter] That was ████ sick the way he said that. >> Hey, no. I'm just saying, man. But I can I can definitely And it's crazy because all we did we learned all of this in basic and AIT.

26 And then even the drill sergeant said the same thing. You guys learned enough to get your foot inside the door. When you become active and you're in your unit, then you become you get to learn the tiniest details, but they'll tell you the same thing. All these combat dudes that were in Fallujah, everything reverts back to basic. Which is uh as an infantryman, you want If you're uncomfortable, it's okay. And the more uncomfortable you are, more stronger you're just eventually going to become an out of it. >> Have you ever seen the movie Heat? >> Yeah. Oh, yeah. What the ████ Iceman? >> So, my character on this squad as it is in most games, his name Wayne Grow. What are you going to do if I turn against the squad? How are you going to handle me in this game? >> We just call admin and they'll kick you out and you're banned for >> Oh, ████ You guys are ████ ████ You guys are little ████ And then I'm And then I'm And then I'm gone. >> [laughter] >> And then I'm gone. >> No, no. I'll make sure you'll be banned

17 first, bro. >> Okay. >> Before he even enters. >> Yeah, why would a ████ would you want to be in any other lobby terrorizing people like that, ████ >> Dude, I >> What do you guys do for trolls? That's it? Boom, they just get banned? >> Yeah, we just ban them. >> I got kicked out for because they said I was a racist. >> How? >> Because I heard a >> Cuz they kept on quoting me. >> No, because uh I saw I saw a Korean dude it lobby and I was like, "Annyeonghaseyo, ████ ching chong." >> Wait. >> But they didn't know he was Korean. >> Yeah, they didn't know I was Korean. >> That's hilarious. >> It doesn't matter though, because ████ ching chong. >> that you were antagonizing this guy. >> Yeah, and then I got it on my phone. I got proof that I got kicked out for >> You got proof that you're racist? >> This is racism kicked for 3 days. And I was like, "How's that racist? I'm the one saying it. I'm Korean myself." >> So, this is not like a Call of Duty lobby. Like like this game is actually >> No, it's actually like a military sim game. So, if you if you racism and ████

09 like that, just like the army, they're going to penalize you for it. >> Oh, wow. >> Can I just >> Army penalizes you for racism? >> Absolutely. >> Yeah, it sounds like ████ >> Outside of outside of boot camp So, boot camp is its own environment. Outside of that, yeah, like you're equal opportunity. You can Yeah, you can you can report, "Hey, this guy's been ████ ████ calling me ████ or whatever." Then you cuz then you're at the actual workplace. But boot camp is its own environment. >> And I'd be like, "I thought this is a military simulator." Yeah, I called him that. That's what we call people in the military. >> Yeah, I know. It's it's super like, "What the ████ Why did I get even kicked out for this bullshit?" >> You sound very hot right now when you talk about all that confident stuff, cuz it's super sexy, right? >> He's a leader. >> But the real question is, did your win stats actually go up? >> Absolutely. Absolutely. >> That's incredible. >> We're winning because we're actually

59 grabbing the point. We're We're We're making sure the job is done, you know? And that's the whole That's the whole >> You're not just like running and gunning and having fun, like just crashing in the buildings. >> That's boring now, because you just die and >> You like having organized like like game plans. >> It has to be organized, because then how do you How else do you know if your team leading experience actually or skills even work? >> So, the way most people play it is it's not organized. >> Uh no. >> No, it's like you're ████ around like he was saying before. >> No, well, think about it. If you do Call of Duty and ████ like that, where all you all you try to do is execute people. Like >> Yeah, it's every man for himself all the time. >> Yeah, what if what if you actually play a game where your whole job was to actually take care of the objective? >> Sometimes you accidentally help your team. >> And it's and it's crazier because you're you have 20 guys or 10 guys under your game and can you actually lead 10 people to success? And you can you can try to use that in

49 general in your real time life, you know? >> Yeah. >> The leadership skills, not just games, but what I learned in my time in basic, I've all I've been put in leadership positions the whole time. So, how can you How does the leadership actually help? >> What are you going to do when I change my name from Waynegretzky to Zach and I'm back in the group and I throw a flashbang against the wall and I'm like, "P████, ████ ████ What are you going to do? Ban me, ban me. ████ ████ p████." What are you going to do then? >> I would just mute you and then kick you out of my squad. >> Can't do that in the real world. Can't mute them. >> No, those guys eventually get kicked out. The guys like, you know, you know what I mean? You know when they get to their active duty and the guys are ████ bags their whole life, they're going to get uh punished eventually or they'll straighten up. It depends how bad they want it. >> Yeah. >> He's such a leader, he's got an answer for everything. I love it. >> Dude, it's so hot right now.
