00 Oh, really? There's no kitty litter? And then she will march. She's like, "Follow me." She'll march up the stairs and go all the way into like one of the back rooms we have. And she's like, "We have no kitty litter. We have no kitty litter. We have no kitty litter." And she just keeps on pulling them out, and she's just looking at me while she's taking them all out. And I'm like, I'm so smoked. Welcome back to Careful Boys. Today we're talking about Do you guys think we have weaponized incompetence? >> Wait, wait, wait, wait. What? Can you remind me what that is again? >> There it is. Let me read a little ditty. There it is. There it is. Let me read a little ditty, and then we will discuss. >> Okay. >> Um so, this is a post from Reddit Relationship Advice. And the post is, "My boyfriend and I have been living together for about a year now. He moved into my apartment. For reference, it's been amazing. But recently, I had begun to notice more and more instances of just flat-out incompetence from him
52 that are either new or no longer explainable by him being the being new in my apartment, which him and I both consider ours now. Some examples being me asking him to put away our mop, and him saying, 'I don't know where it goes.' It's never not been in the pantry. Me cleaning and asking him if he could just finish by mopping the floors. And then I asked him later that day if he did, and he said he looked everywhere but couldn't find the mop. This is shortly after the last incident, too, where he ended up putting the mop away himself, so he would know where it is. More examples are me asking if he could vacuum our bedroom. I have bad allergies, and vacuum often. And him playfully saying, 'I don't know how.' Yet not doing it still. He does the playful saying, 'I don't know how, where, what' thing, and then proceeding not to do it more and more
42 often. >> What the ████ >> Bro, she's ████ incompetent. If you can't ████ catch on to what he's doing by now, you're incompetent. >> That's so sick that he could do this. >> You think? >> That's what I mean. >> I pretty much got through it. >> they're both incompetent. They're both ████ >> But he's slightly more competent cuz he's doing that on purpose and he's getting away with it. Yeah. And he's he's been able to accurately gauge how dumb she is to accept it. And I'm like, dude, that's ████ smart. >> It is smart. To go so far that she's got to write about on Reddit is crazy. >> That's what I'm saying. Like, dude, you're dumber than him. >> She's in disbelief that he's that dumb. But what if he actually is that ████ dumb? >> Hey, but let's believe all women. Believe all women, right? It's like really >> But also at the same time, I think this only works because she's actually met other people that are this dumb.
33 So, she's like, oh, this guy could be like this because >> You mean all of her past ex-boyfriends? >> No, no, I'm just talking about in this day and age, there's a lot of ████ ████ right now. And so, I think that's what makes it believable because if he was a stand up, he'd be, oh, you're playing me. But she's also dumb, too. But I think you need to have like, you know when you you got to have like some truth and lies for your lie to pass. And there are a lot of people and I bet Joe could attest to it from just probably people he's interviewed of how ████ some people are. >> Oh, yeah, that's right. >> Some people that come into the workplace, they are not ready for life. Like man, I had this one employee, they had to measure out 1 kg of powder. They brought out a teaspoon and started putting a teaspoon worth of powder one by one like this. >> Oh, wow.
23 >> I'm like, how long do you think that's going to take to get 1 kg? >> What if he's like, each teaspoon's almost a gram, so how about a kilo time? >> A thousand time? Instead of just getting the bag and pouring it? >> To be fair, to be fair. >> ████ right? >> Fair, considering as as uh hugely career-driven and corporate Junby is, oftentimes a lot of people learn those skills from entry-level jobs. >> Wrong. Wrong. You learn those skills by doing chores at home. If I was an interviewee, I would I wouldn't even ask He's got >> He's got He's got Tyco underwear just chopping up cocaine and measuring >> I wouldn't even I wouldn't even ask like the basic Oh, tell me your bunch of I would be like, "Here's three scenarios. I want to watch you do it." And then if they were like,
14 "How's this interview going?" Get the ████ out of here. >> saying is that then you'll have no workers cuz that's the truth. >> This is the reality. The reality is people come in, they don't know how to boil water, they don't know how to ████ mop. They don't know how to ████ wipe. I'm like, "Damn." "How do you get a dirty rag that's already covered in sugar and you use that to wipe? Like, clean that ████ and then wipe. Like, I'm just so shocked." And then what I found out is a lot of them they're not expected at home to do anything. Their mom is like, "Get the ████ out of here. Stop cleaning. I'll do it. Mommy will do it." And I'm like, "That's why they never grew is because you ████ have them on your titty all day." >> But that's why I guys that like this could be believable cuz >> But then what I don't get is like, if he says, "I don't know how to do it." Why doesn't she go, "What do you mean? Why?"
07 "Oh, I just don't know." That's not a good enough answer. >> That's what I'm saying. That's why I think he's actually That's why I think she's dumber because if if if she goes, "Can you vacuum?" and he goes, "I don't know how." ████ learn right this second. You know what I mean? Like, if she walks away after that, I'm like, "You're dumb." He just gave you the dumbass answer just to get rid of you. >> Cuz even the mop >> He's all playing PlayStation. >> I really don't know how. >> He's probably in the in the lobby right now and just waiting. >> Cuz even the mopping, right? Like, wouldn't the first thing to be like, "Okay, come over here. So, this is where it goes, in the closet right here. Okay, now you know." Like, that's it, right? >> But some people don't know how to lead, too. >> So, you have to know how to do and then you have to know how to lead and you You to know how to teach. Those are all layers. Cuz some people just get frustrated. They go, "Wait, what do you mean?" Like cuz now my dad will be like that. Instead of teaching like, "What do you mean you don't know how to do that?" You either you either beat my ass or he just leaves and he storms off cuz it's
57 just so like it's so like like crazy for him to process that. >> Yeah, not dumb is like if like I'm dumb or like if Smac told me, "Oh, I put it in the fridge." and I'm looking at the fridge and I'm like, "I don't ████ see it." And then she comes over and she goes, "Right here." You know what I'm like? I'm ████ dumb. D- Smart isn't like deviant is if he goes, "I don't know where it is. Can you Can you like show me every time?" And she does it every time? >> Yeah, that's true. >> I'm like, you know what I mean? That's like >> I'll tell Niky I'll be like, "I couldn't do kitty litter last night cuz there's no kitty litter." So I have to go get some. And then she's like, "Oh, really? There's no kitty litter?" And then she will march She's like, "Follow me." She'll march up the stairs and go all the way into like one of the back rooms we have. And she's like, "We have no kitty litter. We have no kitty litter. We have no kitty litter." And she's just taking all these boxes that are like cuz I leave like a third in it
48 and like a like a fifth of of litter still left in the boxes. And she just keeps on pulling them out and she's just looking at me while she's taking them all out. And I'm like, I'm so smoked. >> But how much Yeah, so So there's a lot of that, right? So how much of it is incompetence and how much of it is just dude stupidity? >> Yeah, if I don't see it, I forget that it it exists and I go, "I need more of it." >> Yeah, and you go buy more, right? And then you come back and you're OPENING YOU'RE LIKE, "OH, ████ I GOT 15 OF THESE S████." I'll give >> everybody a little bit of grace as long as they're like proficient at something though, right? Cuz if you expect somebody to be the like above average at something, you got to understand in the balance and greatness of the world, you're going to be below average on something. And then you're just >> Like your brain space. Can't wash dishes, but you can make a million dollars. That's all I'm saying. If you're capable of being above average at something, you're also equally capable of being below average. Like you can last an hour in bed.
39 >> Yeah, that and that is the same issue for people. >> Don't matter. Just ████ me good tonight. >> This dude's hot and sex is great. It's like but he can't ████ do this or he's abusive. You're like, "Okay." Imagine what that Asian astronaut guy can't do. >> Johnny Kim? >> Johnny Kim. >> Yeah, what's his >> Or he's beating the ████ out of his wife at home. We don't know. We don't know, dude. I don't ████ know. >> Still here. >> Korean style. >> Korean lover. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's true. Yeah. I agree with that. Yeah. >> He's in space. Where do you put the mop? Where do you put the mop? >> In this case it does sound like he's a he's a ████ piece of ████ manipulator. But like how many times do guys get in trouble for just being dumb? >> Well, that's what I mean. >> And then they're like as in like accused as like this weaponized incompetence thing. But then like they're actually just ████ dumb.
30 >> Guys are ████ dumb. And I think that that's it would be smarter for women to always assume that that's the baseline. Anything after that's an improvement. You know, like we're dumb because like sometimes you need dumb to do the brute things that men have had to do in our entire >> To do like mundane ████ Yeah. >> Yeah, our whole history of even just going to fight for ████ You need the dumb guy who's not willing to >> Yeah, you think a smart guy wants to coal mine his whole life? >> Yeah, you know. So it's it's it's really not our fault, ladies. Like we were born like this. This is kind of ████ >> Plus there's there's like a Have you ever heard that concept that like guys are perfectly fine just doing one thing and just being locked in on that the whole day? >> And it's just like you you're you're perfectly satisfied. >> And like women see that and they get pissed. So they need to like disrupt it. They need to like break it up somehow because they're mad about it. I think it's so funny. Where does that come from? That's
20 hilarious. >> I straight up can't put a comforter You know that thing that goes over the comforter? The annoying pain in the ████ ass that thing is with the buttons and you have to like button it all the way up. Oh my That is the worst thing ever made. That I hate those ████ things. >> No, those things suck to do for women. >> You don't do the rolling technique? >> What you talking about? >> There's like a technique to put those on. >> I do not do the rolling technique. >> I need to learn how to do >> It's the one where you could literally you could basically put the duvet like the actual blanket down, you put the cover on top, tie the corners, roll it up, and then invert it, and then shake it all out so it falls back >> See, all those steps you just >> So, who taught you that? >> I'm out. I need something quicker. >> My cousin. >> I do the one where you just grab the corner and you stick it to the end, then you grab the other corner stick it to the end, then you grab both corners. >> I used to do it like that, but it's it's >> my mom taught me. >> the other way. I just learned it the other way, actually. >> tie it at the corners?
10 >> Yeah, cuz cuz each one of those duvet covers usually has a corner like a a thing. So, so basically while it's inside out, right? You tie all the corners, and then on one side you roll it the the the not open side. You roll it towards the open side, you flip it inside the open side, and then you shake it all down so it rolls falls back in. >> That's pretty cool. >> The fast the fastest way is going I don't know how to do this anymore, and then she goes, "Give me this thing." And they're like, "Thank you." >> That works, too. >> Well, no. What I like to do I like to stack the argument. So, I go I just did all the laundry. You know what I mean? Like, can I get a little help with the duvet cover thing? And then I never have to do I ████ hate it. >> That's pretty good. You got to stack it. >> You got to stack it up. >> Do you guys divide up the work or like >> We just do it based on like it's like a cat throws up on a ████ bed, and it's like oh, we need these need to go in the
00 in the washer. So, I always do that. But then I I use her to to get the duvet cover thing. >> Duvet cover thing. >> Cuz if it's like something that just needs to be done, I will just I will just start doing like you know what I mean? But not that. >> But the the hard thing with guys is we're ████ so one track that like I don't notice some things need to be done sometimes. And it looks like I deliberately am not doing it, but I'm no, I haven't ████ even processed that. Sometimes I'm just like oh, if I noticed it, yeah, I would have done >> I feel like everything around the house is a silent battle between you and your spouse, you know what I mean? You're just kind of like, all right, well, let's see who's going to hold out longer with that one. >> Like, who who takes out the trash or who just pushes it down 1 in so you have one extra inch of trash. >> Yeah, and then and then and then you stack it. It's like, well, I did this one, so I'm going to hold out longer on that one. >> I usually do the gross stuff, for sure. >> Yeah, me too. Gross stuff, big time. But then, uh, I remember when we first moved
51 in, one of the cats like threw up under the table, and I kept seeing it, and I was like, I wonder if I wonder if she I wonder if she's going to do it. You know what I mean? Where I kept going by it, and I remember going by it one day and being like, uh, IT'S STILL THERE. >> HELL YEAH. DUDE, HONESTLY, I KIND OF low-key have this like, uh, like a if it wasn't on my watch type thing. You know what I mean? It's like, if I come home from a trip, and it's like there was some cat vomit on something, and I'm like, that happened when I wasn't here, that needs to be fixed. >> You know what? They They have this study They have this study of, uh, newborns with, uh, guy and girl, where, um, most of the time when the baby cries, the mom goes and gets the baby, and then later on when they did like the confessional booth thing, it's cuz 50% of the dudes lie that they didn't hear it. >> So, THEY'RE JUST LIKE,
44 AND THE THE MOM THE MOM'S LIKE, oh ████ okay, I got to go get the baby. And then later on they found out like, oh yeah, I heard her crying, but I just knew if I kept sleeping the mom would go get it. >> I'll hear a cat throw up, and then I'll I'll act like I didn't hear it. And then and then she's like, oh, you didn't see this in here? I'm like, WHAT? OH MY GOD. BUT BY THE WAY, I IT'S CUZ I DIDN'T even go looking for it. >> ████ that's funny. >> Yeah, I didn't even go looking for it. >> My cats literally like are are now only my cats. I don't think Nina has cats anymore, by the way, cuz now that we have we have Lana. I swear to god, like those cats will be like, they'll go in crazy, and you know, Nina's like, >> Oh, now you don't get it. >> not in the middle of work, and I'm like, which Which is more important right now? And it's hard. Every single time it's a battle. You know what I mean?
34 >> Yeah.
// end of tape
